though.. overhearing her talk about forclosing the house, gettng sued by a credit company.. and all the medical bills piling up... I dont want her to....

It'd be great if you could get the computer, but not if it takes money from your mom paying for more important things. sad Keeping in touch is great, but it's not more important than house and medical bills. I'd tell her not to get the compy for you.
