Jaden paced back and forth in the swamp area. This was the place he had agreed to meet Lunar and he was nervous. He enjoyed spending time with her, and Forte, too. It was so hard to choose, they were so similar and so different. He took a quick drink from the nearby river to calm himself and remembered the day Lunar had taught him to swim. He smiled at the thought and padded back to the swamp. Even though he was nervous, he was still eager to see her again. He saw Forte more than he did her but it didn't make him like her less. His ears were perked now, straining to hear for her arrival.

Lunar was jogging, toward the location. She was running a little a late, and didn't want to cause him to leave. She made no point of being careful or quiet. She reached the path that would lead to him... She bounded down it, and he came into view quickly. And she pounces him just as a quickly. She was only a beta, but he had his claws on her heart even if he was an alpha... She would served under him in any pack. It's make things interesting to say the least.
"Jaden!" She barked, as she finished the tumbled and nuzzled into him longingly.

He stood when he heard the strange noise coming from the trees. He inhaled deeply and was pleased to find that it was Lunar's scent he found. "Hello Lu--" he managed to say to her before she pounced. "Lunar!" he laughed when he managed to catch his breath. "I've missed you." he said to her, nuzzling back. "It's been a while, what have you been up to besides pouncing on the unsuspecting?" he teased. It was always so easy to relax with her around.

In her time with Jaden, she had been able to really open up. She still had that solemn side to her, but she was just happy to be with him, so what was the point of being so poised with this was the best way to express? She laughed at his comment, and she watched his form. He had grown into such an attractive Alpha... And so soon. Even if it was younger then her... "Well you know, this and that. I've explored all there's been there really, well at least for me. I've been baby sitting mostly these days. " She laughed some and and nipped at his ear.

"You'll have to show me where you've been sometime, I've only been around this area!" he laughed. "Baby-sitting?" he asked. "It's nice to know there are more pups around the area." He looked at her and realized she was just as beautiful as ever, if not more, and she was more different than when he'd first met her; she was more open to him now. He laughed at the memory of their first meeting and nipped back at her playfully.

"Yeah well a friend of mine, she's for an adopted pup, and I keep an eye on him here and there." She shrugged some. Forte never dumped Haru on her, but she offered to give her some time alone. "Oh i would love to take you." She giggled a little and stretched out, as he nipped at her. She giggled some and looked at him. He was so lovely to look at, she giggled a bit more and then she stood up and looked around. "What should we do?"

"Really? I have a friend who's adopted a pup also. I don't think I've ever seen him though..." he tailed off, realizing what he said and was thankful for Lunar's next question. It probably wasn't a good time for the topic to wander towards Forte.... "Wherever you'd like," he said. "I'm all yours for today." he laughed and batted her playfully.

"Oh just for today?" She pouted at him and rolled pawing at his batting. She smiled at him a bit before she settled into a respectable laying position, and she changed her manner a bit. "Well hm..." She pondered looking around a bit. "Wat haven't we done yet? We could go and chase bunnies.. or something. I really want to go and watch a sunset though... with you." She flushed a but under the black pelt.

"I'm not sure, but we don't really see each other that often," he shuffled nervously. At her next words, he blushed deeply, but not for the same reason. He had watched the sunset with Forte recently and the memory was still fresh in his mind. "I-If you really want," he stuttered. "I'm up for it."

Lunar looked at him and sighed softly. she had been hoping for a little more from Jaden... "Whats on your mind?" She laid her head on her paws. "You seem like your someplace out..." Her ears flattened some. "You found another.. um.. Female haven't you?"

"Well, umm..." he started, then stopped short at her last words. "...Yes." he said uncertainly, after a short pause. He didn't know why he felt guilty, he hadn't even told Lunar that he was intrested in her. "I'm sorry." he said, and he really was. He wished he could know for certain who he cared for most, so he wouldn't have to hurt one, or both of them, when the time came for him to choose. They were both so beautiful, gentle, and caring. He sighed.

She laughed a bit, trying to give off the air it was nothing to worry about, but it was more of a nervous forced laugh. She averted her eyes from him, an wouldn't look him in the eye again. "W-well thats great Jaden." She wanted him happy. But she wanted it to be with her. But as she sat there, she started to feel angry. Why did everyone else around her get to find some great love, or companionship but her? Maybe she was just destined to always be alone. She laughed at the cruel irony. One of the few people she gets close to, and she's been kicked to the curb again. She sat up and looked off to the side.. She felt like hunting, and ravaging something... but her better side got to her. "Well I guess that means no sunset..." She laughed nervously again, "Maybe we should just.. go fishing..."

He looked at her when she laughed and he heard the strain behind it. His tail dropped when she looked away from him and tucked closer to his legs when she spoke. She was so kind, she was trying to make him feel better even though it was obvious he'd made her feel worse. He flinched at her cold laugh and could scent traces of her sadness. "We can still go to a sunset if you'd like, it's not too far off and we can still make it." he flicked his ears hopefully. "Fishing? You mean, you've actually caught one of them before?" he asked. It was true that he'd never managed to catch one but he hoped the question would distract her.

Lunar twitched her ears and she nodded.. She wanted to jsut ignore the sunset thing all together now... "Yeah... its not all that normal for wolves to fish, but if theres nothing else.. then you'll pick out the bones." She stood up, and sniffed at the air for the scent of the water. "Lets get going." She stated, everything she said was sort of bland. She knew she had to keep going.

"Wow, that makes you seem all the more special," he told her, trying for a smile. He hoped compliments made her feel better, he'd heard from another male that some females loved compliments. He didn't think it was really working, she still seemed depressed. He got up and followed a little bit behind and made sure not to touch her. He didn't know how she would feel about that now.... The wind blew towards him and he crouched a bit to make walking easier. When he inhaled, he caught the sharp scent of salt from the nearby beach and looked at Lunar. Were they fishing in salt or fresh water, he wondered.
