Leini sadly made her way back to the den. She couldn't find her sin, but she would go back later, sometime to check again. She gave a frown and trotted back to the direction of Machu's den. She figured she'd stay there for at least a while...
A sigh emitted from Leini's tired body. She had run around and tried to scent the around for her son, but no avail. Jumping over the small ledge that led to Machu's den, she looked around for the orange male.
"Machu?" She called softly.

Machu rested against the back of the den, watching the entrance. His ears flicked when his name was called, but too lazy to get up to see who it was, he simply replied with a usual response. "I am in here."
It only took him a moment to register that the voice belonged to a female and one that was chasing as his target. With a heavy sigh, Machu reluctantly raised to his paws and started for the entrance, looking down the rocky path toward a moving figure that was coming up toward him.
"Leini? Did you do what you had to do?"

"I couldn't find what I was looking for..." Leini commented stopping before the brightly colored male. "I'll try again tomorrow or something," she gave a nod to herself before slumping tiredly into a sitting position.
She glanced inside the den. "Can we go lay down?" She questioned lofity, nudging the male a little, though it was more of a nuzzle then a soft push. She decided she'd never run as much as she did ever again. She wasn't a pup any more, after all.

"You can go look for whatever it is another time, I've already decided that you're gonna be here for a moon or more," he chuckled as he flopped himself against the back wall with a stretch, a yipping yawn to match. He was truly a lazy one, but he really did not care if others thought he was worthless or not. He had what he wanted, at least, he may be able to if he played his bones right.
"Come, lay down. You seem tired. We've got quite a long night ahead of us if we don't get enough sleep," The orange male added, motioning her to join him. He was tired himself and got restless at night if he didn't get some sleep during they day. Whatever she was looking for, it may have been very important or she would not have pushed herself so far to be in her current condition.
"So what do you plan to do now?"

Leini stretched down next to Machu with a tired smile. Yeah, she'd stay a while before going to go look for Dejiki again. She was so tired now though. She'd really work herself into a fit when she couldn't find him.
The red-eyed dog gave a wide yawn before curling up a bit. "Alright, sleep is good," she commented. She closed her eyes for a long moment before answering his question.
"I truly don't know..." She turned her eyes onto Machu's from laying next to her. "If I can't find what I'm looking for though... I'll tell you what I couldn't find..."

"Why not just tell me now and save us both the trouble? At least then, I won't have to keep calling it 'the something you were looking for'. Was it an object or something? Like a rock?" Honestly, he had less tact than most, but he was blunt and direct. Sometimes. Machu got closer to her and started to groom her lightly of her sweat and depression. Not finding what she was looking for, at least there was someone there who would comfort her. Like a certain male.
"Nothing has happened since you left so there is nothing to report. Birds fly. Lion's roar. Prey beast die. Slavic hasn't returned, but that's for the best right now..."

"Ahmm... I don't know if you'll like it..." She gave a stressed yawn before burying her nose under one of her paws. She didn't know why she couldn't tell him.
... Well she did, but still.
She pondered. She didn't want to leave here. But Machu might also attack Dejiki, and she wouldn't like that, and would leave anyways. Her pup was all important. She was horrified that she ever left him alone.
Leini looked up at Machu before closing her eyes, hoping he wouldn't press to hard for the information.

"I am lazy, I'll tell you that. Whatever it is, I doubt I'll work up enough energy to actually do anything unless it was--like--right next to me. So you don't have to worry about me not liking it unless you are into females and that was what you were looking for," He blinked at her, wondering if what he said was actually true. That would mean he'd have to find another target and all this time, waiting on her, for her, chasing after her, it would be for nothing... well, maybe getting a friend out of it wasn't an entire loss but still.
Machu laid his head down and tried to life the paw with his snout to get at her.
"Leini, you can't hide from me right now. Just tell me."

The mostly white dog opened her eyes and stared at Machu for a moment before giggling under her paw. Before letting him move her paw. "Ah no, I'm not into females, and that wasn't what I was looking for," she told him.
"I was... ah.. lookingformyson," she said quickly and mostly nervous manner. She was sure was going to be forced to leave now, but she gave it the benifeit of a doubt and stayed still...

"A son?" He questioned softly. That was a twist! To have a son, that must mean there was a male involved... the question was now, was he still there in her heart? Then why was she here with him? In his den? So far away from everyone else? Alone? He blinked at her a few times with a baffled expression. "Where is his father? Isn't he still with you? The last thing I need is your male chasing after me because you are here with me."
He was too lazy to run but he will have to if his life depended on it... He cocked a brow and smirked a bit at her, having a slight idea of his own. Maybe pushing his plans ahead were risky, but who cared but him?

"I was young and dumb," she said. "I wasn't even done growing yet when I had my son... I don't think his father would come after you, though."
At least, she didn't think so...
A sigh of relief. She layed her head on Machu's paws this time with a small tired yawn.

"Well, if you can't find your son... and you don't have a mate. We could always produce more sons... and maybe daughters," Blunt. It was obvious what he was saying, he was just curious if she was going to get mad and storm off. Well, at least he told her about his plans before having to actually seduce her and all that stuff.
He pulled his head back and tried to look as big and strong as he could, doing whatever he can to seem like the perfect mate and male for pups. His target was so close, it was just out of muzzle-reach.

"..." Leini stared for a moment. "Pups sounds wonderful..." she said softly in a hushed tone. She gave anothing tired yawn and closed her eyes in a struggle to stay up She knew it wasn't going to last long though.

He blinked at her silently. Was she serious? he questioned himself, staring at her. If any male bluntly said that to a female, they would be beaten, spat on, and left. But Leini, she just said it sounded wonderful. Was she saying she would want pups again? Looking at all the stuff that she has told so far, he was the only male around her and he knew that he, himself, was a greedy b*****d when it came to his target. He finally had her in his sight, in his den, and he wasn't going to let her go too easily.
"Um... I guess you should get some sleep then..."

The tired female only nodded in repsonse, kind of out of it, but closed her eyes to fall into a deep sleep. Never-the-less, Leini honestly wasn't like most females. She adored pups, and didn't mind have more. Machu seemed kind anyhow. And pups were wonderful.
She ment every word she said. She did want more pups, and was willing to let Machu father them, but by then, she was already fast asleep against the orange male's side.
