Ligeia was high above the ground on the back of his dragon partner Vorel. The dragon was doing all of the flying while he was leaning over to the side, trying to catch sight of the house they were looking for. They had an address and as well as a description of what the place would look like.
"You see it yet, Ligeia?" Vorel asked, he was watching as well but most of the stuff down below looked all the same to him... he looked over his shoulder to the owl who had his eyes half closed, narrowed so he could better see what was below them.
"I think that is that one." He responded back to his dragon, pointing a house that looked similar to all of the other ones but it was the description he got of the yards that made him think they found the right house. They would know soon enough when they landed and checked the house number.
"Hold on. Vorel said and once the owl had hold of him they were swooping down n tight circles toward the ground and the house. A moment later they were touching down in the front yard.
Ligeia gave a giggle as he tossed his long braid over his shoulder, digging into the pocket of his shorts to find the piece of paper. He looked at it then looked at the house, "I was right!" He said, giving a happy flutter of his wings before he hopped off of Vorel's back to land on his own two feet. He brushed himself off, straightened his clothing, and walked toward the door, "And we are right on time too."
Vorel gave a grin, puffing up in a happy manner since he was the one who got them there so quickly and he followed after his boy to the front door where the owl lifed a hand to knock.

Luna was sitting in the Living room, she was dressed rather nicely. She wore a Long white sundress that had various patterns of red and blue on it. She was going on a special errand today. She was visiting her mother in the hospital, the poor abuela had fallen in her house and was being taken care of in the hospital. It didnt look like anything serious, no broken bones at least, but the whole family had recieved the scare of a lifetime and were all going to see her to be sure. Luna laughed as she thought of her mother strapped to a hospital bed...oh yes they all knew the woman would be strapped down. Her mother was a very strong woman even in her 80's and she did NOT like hospitals..which was another reason they were all visiting, to make sure whatever monstrocities they mother made up wouldnt be to badly exagerated.
Luna had called D-Corp to hire a baby sitter, she was reluctant to use any of the neighborhood kids since their neighbors tended to be all hapily married couples who might question why she had a child and no husband. She didnt know exactly who they would send but Luna had planned for everything, in the kitchen was a large pot of Albondigas (Meatball soup with potato and various veggies), and if they were a vegetarian she had made a large pot of Ceviche(A fish dish...think every fish chopped up into small pieces and eaten with little hard tortilla chips) that was cooling in the fridge (its served cold). Vegetariand ate fish right?! Luna didnt have much money and so she used the next best currency she knew...food. There was plenty of both to go around and mariel knew whatever was left could be fed to the boys Kuka and Ebony the two large dogs that lived in the back yard.
Luna heard the knock and went to answer the door, she was surprised to see a young girl and a dragon waiting in her front yard,
"Hola, Bien benidos! Mariel is in da front room and er.....el Dragon puede...er he can be in da back if ju like, there is much room. Gracias for doing dis on such short notice! All da food ju can eat, anyting left can go to Senior Dragon and da doggies."
Luna thanked them and hurried off, she had already explained to mariel what was happening and how important it was that she leave right away. She hopped into her white jeep and was out of the driveway and out of sight in no time.
Mariel heard Luna talking and heard the car drive off, she remembered Luna talking about her Abuela being in the hospital and in truth Mariel had been hoping that no baby sitter would come so she could go and meet her abuela. But it seemed that she did indeed have a baby sitter now. Of course mariel could not be in a bad mood about this, she was rather curious, she couldnt see who it was from where she was and so began to move slowly towards the door.
She reached it and peeked her head around the door that she now held open. She opened her eyes wide and darted back into the room. There had been something BIG outside!! Mariel hid herself, rather unsuccessfully behind a couch cusion and peeked out at the open door every so often to see if the big thing would try to come inside.

Ligeia listened closely to her words and then lifted a hand up to wave as she left on her errand. He turned to look over at Vorel and gave his dragon a smile, "If you could play out back with the dogs nicely? I will see about bringing the one I am watching out to meet you soon enough." He promised.
Vorel gave a little bit of a pout before he nod, pushing off of the ground so that he could fly up over the house to land in the back yard where he had been told to go. He would rather go inside and play with the little one that he and Ligeia were supposed to be watching but... he would wait for them to come out to see him.
The owl boy watched him go before giving a smile and walked into the house, looking around for the little girl that he was supposed to be watching. It took him a moment before he sat a couch cushion moving, "Is that you Mariel?" He asked of the moving cushion, walking over to sit on the edge of the couch.

Mariel peeked out from behind the cusion and was surprised to see a person there...well a winged person...wings?! That was interesting, she slowly came out of her hiding place, or rather slowly put her hiding place down and stared at the wings of the new commer. She looked at it from as many angles as possible, moving her head in different directions as she looked at the wings.
She suddenly realised that this was definately not the big thing that she had seen out the door. Or maybe it was and it shrunk!! The thought made mariel insanely curious and she aproached her baby sitter and looked up at him with wide and curious eyes. But as she thought about it, this wasnt the right color, the big thing had been a different color hadnt it...maybe when you shrunk you changed colors too!! Mariels eyes opened even wider as her mind went over the posibilities, the potential powers her baby sitter had!! She suddenly felt so much safer, she smiled and then walked over to her baby sitters wings. Powerfull being or no she wanted to see how the wings worked, she was staring at the feathers and touching them lightly, giggling as they moved under her touch.
"You fly and shrink!" Mariel giggled and continued to poke at the wings hoping to learn how they work and maybe grow some of her own one day.
Ebony was lazily chewing on a toy in the sun, ah what a day, beautiful, quiet and he had a TOY!! He saw Kuka sleeping nearby and thought the day couldnt get better. But then a large shadow and a HUGE blue/white thing landed in his yard. IN HIS YARD!!! The Audacity of this large colored thing! Ebony jumped up and ran towards the big thing....but as he got closer he realised just how big the thing was and began to turn. Instead he ran around it in a circle before settling in a protective stance in front of the back door. this was HIS house and okay he might not be able to do much about the thing standing there but that was all it would do. He emited a low growl to let it know it was trespassing, and a few loud barks to warn the family inside...HIS family.
Kuka woke up with all of the comotion but saw no threat in the big thing, he didnt go back to sleep however, He knew his brother Ebony was stupid and he might need help if the big thing did end up being a threat. He didnt move, he just lifted his head and kept a wary eye on both the big thing and Ebony, waiting to see what was going to happen.

Ligeia waited quietly and patiently for Mariel to come out of her hiding spot, glad to see that she wasn't quite as scared of new people as Saedah was, "Hello there." He greeted her with a smile, watching her as she first inspected and then began to pet his wings. He gave a smile and opened them, moving them so that she could get a better look.
"Yes I can fly though I don't shrink, this is my normal size." He sounded a little embarrassed, after all he was sixteen now and didn't get to be five foot tall without good shoes... There were kids younger then him who were taller then him.
Vorel looked at the small creature that rushed at him for a moment before it ran the other way. It reminded him of something... he had to think for a while before he recalled the wolf that had been with Drez when he and his owl met the snake boy. He gave a dragon's version of a smile, showing lots of teeth, "Hello there, Wolf." He greeted the dog as it went to sit in front of its house.
The growling confused Vorel as this was where he was told to go... did the wolf not know he was coming to babysit?

Mariel smiled happily as her babysitter opened the wings. She had now seen them move! That was step one!!! But just as she was getting ready to really study them she heard the barking outside. "Ebony?" Mariel looked towards the hallway in a confused manner. The dogs usually never barked unless they were being played with. But this didnt sound like the same kind of bark, it was different...louder and shorter. Mariel looked up at her babysitter and began to pull on his shirt. "Ebony, Ebony" She repeated, as she tugged her baby sitter into the hall and towards the back yard. When they reached the large double glass doors Mariel froze. She had found her huge thing, and it definately did not shrink. She saw Ebony standing in front of the door and growling at the huge and confused looking big thing in the yard. Mariel was suddenly afraid for her dog, for she had become rather attached to the large all black dog in the last few weeks. She suddenly sprintd for the door and opened it while screaming "EBONY ADENTRO!"
Ebony barked louder as the thing made noises, he couldnt tell what it had said, afterall he had never been taught comands in draconic and so he assumed the rumbling voice was also a growl. Ebonys growl grew in intensity and his body stiffened. But then he had head the familiar squeal of the opening glass doors. His family!! Did this thing have some strange powers to open doors?! But when he looked he saw his girl and he heard the command for inside. Ebony sprinted into the open door and inmediately attached himself to mariel. He saw a stranger in the house and gave the stranger a snort but focused his attention on the big thing outside. It would not touch HIS girl.

Ligeia allowed himself to be led along, down the hallway and to the doors that led to the backyard. He looked down at the dog that seemed to be rather displeased and passed it to poor Vorel who looked confused and unsure, as though he were afraid that he had done something wrong.
The owl looked over to Mariel when the dog came in and over to her, giving them both a kind look then said in a reassuring tone, "His name is Vorel, I know hes big but hes very nice. Hes my best friend." He told them, then walked motioned for Vorel to come over to him as he stepped outside.
Vorel waited for a long moment before walking slowly forward and sat down next to the owl, lowering his head to catch hold of his braid to tug on it, "The wolf doesn't like me." He said, sounding concerned.
Ligeia lifted a hand to pat the dragon's head, watching Mariel and Ebony as he did so, "See? He is very nice." He said again, hoping that the pair would believe him and not be scared or angry with him.

Mariel saw her baby sitter get closer to the big thing and she did have to admit she was rather curious about it. She hugged Ebony and calmed the dog down, "Mira Ebony, no te va morder." Mariel slowly went outside and stood infront of the big thing, what did her baby sitter call it...Vorel? Mariel looked at it curiously..er at him curiously. Mariel looked to Her babysitter then to the dragon a few times, well Vorel had not eaten anyone yet so he couldnt be all bad...right? Mariel smiled at Vorel and wondered if it spoke english...maybe it spoke Spanish like Luna!
"Hi Vorel...Ebony think your in HIS yard"Mariel knew how possesive Ebony was about his things and assumed that might have been what happened right now. She continued to pet Ebony and reasure him that the dragon was not going to eat him or take his things as she waited to see if the dragon could speak or understand her. It had made some rumbly sounds to her baby sitter so it had to be able to speak right? Maybe her baby sitter and his amazing powers could talk to the creature!
Ebony never left Mariels side, he had allowed her to calm him but he still stared at the big thing warily. It was still in his yard, but as he saw it nuzzling the stranger he understood that maybe the stranger was the big things like mariel was his. He was a little reasured because that meant the stranger knew how to command the big thing, and according to Mariel it wouldnt eat him. Ebony sat down, still a little nervous at being so close to it, but he was no longer growling. Now he was just staring at it, it didnt look too menacing anymore, it had its head bowed and seemed to be chewing on its person. So maybe its person disiplined it. The thought was reasuring and so Ebony sat there staring at it a bit smugly.

Ligeia gave a nod, "Ah, I see. We are sorry Ebony. Vorel was told to come here to wait since hes to big to go inside." He didn't know if the dog could understand him. Mariel had spoken to him in another language like what Ligeia did with Vorel. How confusing it made the situation with three languages being used.
The owl turned to look at Vorel first and back to Mariel, "Vorel can wait in the front yard if it would be easier, so that Ebony doesn't think he is here to cause problems."
Vorel gave a nod at the girl and her wolf but made no response of his own. While he understood English well enough he didn't speak it, only spoke Dragonic.

Mariel didnt want the big dragon to go away, she wanted to examine it and see how it worked. It was so big! maybe it had big parts that would be easier to see!
"No, Vorel can stay, Ebony not mad no more." Mariel patted Ebony to prove her point. The dog was sitting smugly if not a little interested in the dragon himself. Mariel stepped a little closer to Vorel and began to walk around him slowly. She slowly made her way all around him, she jumped over his tail with a giggle, and when she reached her baby sitter again she spoke excitedly.
"Can I touch him?! Can you talk to him with your powers?! Does he have powers?!" Her curiosity was bubbling over in her excitement. Well it wasnt every day that you got a huge dragon in your backyard. She didnt even know if she would ever see another dragon again so she wanted to study him as much as possible. She was practically bouncing with curiosity as she waited for her babysitters answer. She hoped that he would say yes, that she could touch the dragon and see what it felt like. She wondered for a moment what it would be like, he looked spiky and cold. But the spikes were big so maybe they were smooth. She looked eagerly at him, practically drinking in the sight of him.
Ebony watched carefully as Mariel walked aroun the beast. He kind of wanted to do that himself, give the beast the hellow sniff. Maybe then he could find out what it was. He made his way over to the creatures foot, it was the closest thing, and settled for sniffing that. The creature seemed to be sitting anyway so he wouldnt be able to give a proper hellow anyway.

Ligeia relaxed greatly when Mariel told him that Ebony was no longer angry, that was a good sign. Maybe everyone would be able to be friends then? He gave a smile at that thought, preferring that everyone be relaxed and happy instead of up in arms and angry any day.
He tilted his head at her rush of questions then gave a little laugh, "Yes, you can pet him. His scales feel like glass and his mane is kind of fluffy." He said, "Vorel, lay down so that Mariel can reach?" He asked his dragon.
Vorel gave a nod of his head and laid down on the ground, lowering his head down so that it rested on the grass as well and made sure that he was in range of petting for the small girl and gave a happy, crooning sound.
"I use Draconic to talk to him, its the language that all dragon's speak." Ligeia explained to her, "So its not a special power that we use to talk, though both Vorel and I special in ice based powers." Vorel had his ice breath and Ligeia had his ice magics, both of which fell under the category of powers.

Mariels eyes sparkled as she listened to Ligeia and saw the dragon lay its massive head downon the grass for her. She clapped her hands together as he admitted that he did indeed have powers. infact the BOTH had powers! They were like the superheroes on tv! Mariel tentatively reached out to feel the dragon and at first when her fingertips felt the dragons glassy scales she tugged her hand back and held it to her chest. It was such a strange sensation, it was like feeling living glass. Mariel tried again and reached out to touch the dragon. She let her hand sit on the scales this time. It felt so strange, she looked with wide eyes at the scales and then at Ligeia.
"Wow...super powers, I wonder how you get those. I wish I had a dragon....no offense Ebony." Mariel was so mezmorized by the scales that all she could do was just stare at them from all angles and she just kept petting the dragon. She eventually made her way to his indeed fluffly mane. Mariel giggled and started petting the dragon with both hands, fluffing up the mane and petting the glassy scales at the same time.
"hehe, fluffy." Mariel hugged the dragons neck and put her face into the dragons mane, it was so soft! she giggled some more and ended with her ckeeck against the cold glass scales. She looked at Ligeia with a smile.
"Your so lucky you have a dragon this fluffy." she said with a smile. She was curious to see their powers but at the moment she was still "studying the dragon" as she liked to call it. It was more of hugging it and mussing up the fluff and scales to see how they worked but she was having fun. It was such a cool creature...and wait didnt Ligeia say it could talk!
"so you talk draconic...are those your rumbly sounds?" She said more to the dragon than to Ligeia.
Ebony got a little nervous as the dragon moved but it just lat down. Ebony continued to sniff at the big creature and make his way around it. He was still afraid to touch it but at least it wouldnt eat him now.

Ligeia could tell by the look on his face that Vorel was enjoying the attention he was getting from Mariel. The large dragon looked rather content as she pet him, played with his mane, and inspected him. It even ended up drawing a rumbling purr from him. He tilted his head to the side so that he could get a better view of what the wolf was up to, curious as to what Ebony was thinking at the moment.
The owl gave a smile, "You get powers like ours from the Classes at D-Corp and lots of practice." He explained to her, wanting her to know that such a thing was within her reach. At least it would be once she was older. His eyes widened a little at her comment about wishing she had a dragon. She must not know, "You will get a dragon when your older. Not the same kinda as Vorel though. Something that saddened him greatly was that Vorel was the only one of his kind, there were no other Frost Dragons for him to talk to or play with.
He knelt down so that he could pat his dragon's neck in an affectionate manner, "Yeah, Vorel's type of dragon aren't able to learn English. So I learned the language that he speaks. That way we can talk." He told her.

Mariel could feel the dragons rumbling through her fingertips and it made her giggle. She was excited when she heard Ligeia say that she would be getting powers like his when she got older. She would be willing to practice, she would practice al day if she had to!
"We can be superheroes together!" she said outloud without knowing. She hadnt told Ligeia or Vorel yet but she suspected they were super heroes in disguise. It would be rude to ask anyway, they would of course say they werent super heroes, thats what they were supposed to say anyway. So she stayed in her happy delusion. Maybe Ligeia was her baby sitter to see if she could be a good girl! Maybe thats why he brought his dragon! Then when she was older they would teacher her to use her powers and she could be a hero! Mariel was excited at the thought, it was just like something out of a movie!
Then Ligeia said the only thing that could make a moment like this better, she would be getting her own dragon one day! Mariel was sad that it wouldnt be like Vorel, she really liked Vorel, even if she couldnt really talk to him. She hugged him as tightly as she could, which was prabably nothing to the dragon.
"You mean I wont get a dragon like Vorel?....well at least I get superpowers too." Mariel was a little disapointed that she wouldnt be getting a dragon as cool as Vorel. Maybe he was reserved for the people with more power. Maybe Ligeia was the LEADER of the super heroes and so Vorel was like a king of dragons or something!! That had to be it! Mariel hugged the dragon tighter (if possible) and felt so proud to be able to study royalty! She stopped for a second and glanced over at Ligeia...maybe he was rotalty too! Mariel stroked the dragons mane as she looked at Ligeia then whispered to the dragon,
"I know your royalty, I figured it out, so does that mean Ligea is too?" She suddenly remembered that the dragon couldnt speak english and so quickly thought of an alternative. "If you nod one time its a yes." Mariel was quite proud that she figured it out and was wondering if both of them were royalty or just Vorel...
Ebony was sniffing at the glassy surface that was the Dragons skin. It had an odd smell and just as he was fully registering it in his senses he noticed the dragon looking at him. Ebony looked back and inched away, but to far away, only 2 steps back. Then he seemed to change his mind and he walked towards the dragons person. Maybe it would have a better smell....afterall his girl was fawning all over it anyway...maybe he could get this guy to give him a scratch behind the ears.

Ligeia gave a little giggle at that, "I have... ahh... I had a friend who wanted to be a hero when he was younger. You should talk to him about the hero business." He suggested to her with a smile, "I'm more the sort to look after people like I am doing with you today then a hero sort." The one time he tried heroics it had ended badly.
The owl stepped closer and leaned against Vorel, "Vorel is special, the only one of his kinda at D-Corp." He told Mariel with a smile, snuggling against his dragon. The big frost didn't seem as bothered by the lack of other Frost Dragons at D-Corp, happy to hang out with Ligeia more then anyone else, more then any other dragons.
Vorel was purring over the snuggling that he was getting when Mariel whispered to him. He listened closely before mulling over the answer. Royalty? That was a term for those who were considered important people, right? He looked at his owl and thought on it more. Ligeia's father was a teacher, the owl helped out in classes, he babysat lots of children and kept them safe, went to hard classes, fought big dragons... Ligeia must be important enough to be consider royalty!
As such he nodded his head one time like he was told to.
