(Neko has brought her DDR system into the thread for Brish to practice her coordination 8D) Brightshadow stood on the pad covered with four arrows, one pointing to each side. Cocking her head to the side, she moved one of her feet from the middle of the pad to step on one of the arrows, starting when it made a noise and lit up the screen of the twoleg box that sat on a nearby tree stump at about her eye level. Normally she wouldn't go anywhere near anything that anything to do with twolegs, but since she had accepted the fact that nothing was going to change her back from becoming a twoleg, she was letting her curiousity take over. She stepped on another arrow and music began to come from the box, arrows matching those on the pad trailing in rows up the screen. Utterfly confused, she stepped off of the pad and got down on all fours to look at it, wondering what in Starclan it was used for.

Jinx heard the music and followed it. There she saw her friend Brightshadow and some sort of box with lights and music thing. She'd never seen anything like it before.
Jinx walked over and just stood there starring for a moment. "What is that...Hi!" She asked and then said as she relized the other didn't know she was there just yet.

Brish's ears only twitched slightly as she heard another come up behind her, still studying the contraption while she waited for the other to indentify themself. "Jinx?" she asked, upon hearing the familiar voice and standing up, "Hi! I have no clue what this thing is... I was trying to figure that out."

"It's very flashy and loud." Jinx said before walking closer to the thing. It wasn't something you would see every day...not here on the island and not to Jinx. She touched the hand rail for a moment. "Nice way to keep you standing though!" Little did she know that's not what you did.

Brish nodded, her ears twitching at the fast beat of the music, "It seems to activate itself when you step on the arrows." She stood up and stepped onto the pad again, pressing her foot down on one of the two buttons above the arrows to see what it would do. The screen froze, then flashed into a split screen with a few of what looked like buttons on the left side and a wheel of smaller button-looking things on the right. When it flashed and switched a voice yelled out of the screen, "Dance, Dance, Revolution!" Though she flinched away at the voice, she didn't move herself from the pad, her curiousity holding her in place.

((I can Jinx easy as I've never played DDR. lol Heard of it, but never seen it in rl. Odd, I know! biggrin ))
"What's a Dance Dance Revolution? Is that like what Rave talked about?" Jinx remembered Rave and his trying to teach them to dance. Maybe this thing was like him only not alive or a Namriah.

(XD Well, I had to alter it from what I was originally going to do, 'cause the home systems don't have a bar on them...)
"I don't know," Brish said again, "It sure doesn't look like dancing to me, though." Staring between the pad and the screen for a moment, she determined that it must have something to do with matching the arrows on the pad with the arrows that flashed on the screen when she first turned it on. "I think I get it, though, let me try something," she muttered, stepping on the arrows so that the smaller buttons rotated around until she found a slower song. She hit the same button she had to select the menu and the song began to play, a short intro letting her get into the beat, and then the arrows moving on the screen again.

((Oppsie sorry about that!))
Jinx watched Brightshadow. "You have to step the arrow it shows? Wow that looks really hard." At least for poor Jinx it would be really hard. If she tried she would more then likely hit the floor with her face.

(It's okie; it's actually probably better for Jinx this way XD)
"You can try, too, if you want," she said, guesturing to the pad extending out from the metal bar next to her. Her attention was then mostly stolen by the arrows reaching the scroll at the top of the screen. She hopped from arrow to arrow, trying to follow those on the screen, her tongue slipping out of the side of her mouth as she concentrated.

JInx smiled. "Really, okay." She pulled herself up by the bars and stood on the pad next to Brightshadow. She then watched as the screen flashed and the pad flashed all the arrows and things. Jinx was a bit overwhelmed unitl she watched Brightshadow for a while. She was doing it.

Brish paused when she noticed Jinx wasn't doing anything. "Why don't you take it one arrow at a time?" she suggested, hopping to the middle of her pad, "Choose, like, the left arrow and just hit that one until you get used to it and then try to do two, and then three, and then all four." She waited to see if Jinx would like to try it before looking back at her screen which was rapidly losing it's nice long green bar to a short red one.

Jinx looked to Brightshadow and then back to her feet. "Okay, I can try that." She looked up to the screen and then back to her feet. She put her left foot over the left arrow and her eyes went back to the screen. She then tried to step when she saw it in the screen. It was hard, but she was glad she was only doing on and holding on.

Seeing that Jinx was getting used to it and hitting some of the arrows with the right timing, Brish turned back to her screen again. Her feet moved quickly as she got the hang of the directions they were supposed to go. "This isn't so complicated," she panted, expending more energy than she thought she would have had to to keep up with the music and the arrows.

Jinx nodded. "Yeah, it's not so bad!" She then decided to try to add one more arrow with one more foot. She began to step on the right arrow with her right foot. She was going okay until she slipped. Lucky she caught herself with the rails.

Brish twisted towards Jinx when the movement of her falling flashed past the corner of her eye, sighing with releif that she had caught herself with the bar. "That is definitely a good bar," she commented with a smile, glad it was there and that Jinx didn't appear hurt, "You alright?"
