I know I've thought of this before, but I don't think I've ever brought it up. Is Sin's toxin even real? I mean, besides Tidus, was anyone in the game supposed to have had a problem with it? And of course, we all know it was total bull in Tidus's case. Seriously, you go inside Sin and nobody in the party forgets stuff or gets weird druggy thoughts or anything. Even in Kilika you'd think you'd run into someone who was affected, but as far as I remember, you don't.

ninja I think you just spotted a problem. xd
I never really thought about it like that before. The only thing I can think of is that maybe, just maybe, those who get close to Sin are somehow affected by Yu Yevon's summoning of Zanarkend, and see things that when they later try to relate are labeled 'wierd'. Just a guess, though.

'Tis a possibility. I'm trying to remember exactly what they said about it. I'm pretty sure Wakka said it "messes with your head," but that's not exactly helpful.
I just saw that someone on a forum theorizes that it did affect the party when they went inside Sin, and you can see its effects in X-2. That's why Yuna's and Rikku's brains half-melted and why Lulu and Wakka got together, not to mention Brother got pretty close to Sin too... xd

rofl Well, that would expain it. Any chance the X-2 game designers were around there too...?
Maybe the party wasn't affected because Jecht wanted them to kill him? Or maybe because they knew what Sin was, they were prepared for whatever happened?

There we go! I guess it would be kind of mean to make fun of them, though, if it's all Sin's fault.
If Jecht could have controlled it, though, I'd think he wouldn't do it at all. I'm thinking more and more that it was all just made up. Perhaps by Yevon to keep Spirans afraid of it? Not that they'd need yet another reason for people to be afraid, I guess. I think the best real explanation is that it's because of all the pyreflies around, and it's just a side-effect.

The man that was affected by the toxin in Kilika was one of the players of Kilika's blitzball team if that helps any. He should be in the shack close to the one where you saved the little girl if that helps at all. And with gatta it depends on how you react before the battle. How you answer The question's earlier determines if gatta survives or the other guy does( I forget his name. I think it's something like luzzu though, correct me if I am wrong.)
