It was so nice out today, and coming to this place was a rare treat for her considering she spent so much time in the meadows where she had been raised since foalhood.
The warm breeze that was ever-blowing. The sun, who's light forever shined down. The cooling waters the splashed against the amber sands. The clear, blue sky that stretched forever in all directions. And the lingering scent of salt...
Nakia had never fully understood why her parents had never taken them to the shoreline as children. Perhaps it was because her mother was that of the flame? Maybe... But that was then and this was now; now was the time to enjoy this wonderful place and all it had to offer. With a delighted squeal, the wind mare launched herself into the shallows with a loud splash. Stomping around like a small foal, the young adult dropped down and rolled around a bit before sitting up with a snort and a toss of her dainty head. Nakia was content to stay this way for a time, letting the wind tousle her mane and letting the seawater cool her off.

Dinyin was wandering aimlessly. He had no idea where he was going, and for once he was not stalking anyone. Anyone as in Nakia. The past few days, his mind were filled with thoughts, crazy and lovely thoughts. He hadnt seen her in a while and he missed her dearly. However, Dinyin knew that they both needed time and space to think everything over. Just recently, he'd learnt about something new, and just recently his heart felt completed. Sighing as he walked around on some place he did not recognise, he did keep track of where he was heading so he knew the way home. It wasnt too late that day, but a wonderful sunset was about to begin. His favourite time of the day. Beautiful colors would brighten up the sky and it felt so peaceful and relaxing. His favourite words, peaceful and relaxing. Sounds were heard not too far away, like spalshes from water. Soon, as he kept getting closer, waves were heard. Dinyin knew whee he was heading now, to the beach. Only one place like that can make the water flip over each other. The lake was rather quiet and still. The river was always rushing but never like the soft sounds of the beach waves. He sighed and lifted up his nose and smelt the wonderful open sea smell. As well he could feel the wind pick up a bit. It was often windier near ocean places such as the beach, colder too. The sun wasnt working its rays, since it was sunset and the day was meant to cool off, so heading here now would rather be a bit chilly but he knew with a beautiful sight. The sun set down towards here and he loved it. The scenery was more than joyful, but also something to love.
His nose suddenly caught the one and only scent. The only one he could recognise and would. Din grinned and closed his eyes, making a short wish, then opened them. He trotted happily towards the sandy land. Hoping that Nakia, was there rather than somewhere close but not where he was heading. There she was, standing there beautifully. Letting the wind blow through her hair. Her mane and tail waved up and down in the air. Din sghed and felt his heart turn gold, in other words feel it lighten up. All those thoughts for the past few days were washed away like some shells on the beach. He stopped trotting from a far distant and walked gentily towards her. After getting close enough, he laid his head on the side of her neck, then brought it over more onto the further side. Giving her a hug, or something like it. This was a wonderful new beginning.

((Curse you and yer long-post making abilities. xD))
Nakia didn't nor start when the gentle hug came up from behind, instead she nickered softly and laided her head on her beloveds' shoulder, returning the gesture of affection. The discovery of a few days ago, with the help of those within another herd, had caused her heart to fly higher than her wings could ever reach.
She finally knew what "love" was... Afterwards, she had left his side for a few days to get head on straight; fleeing to this peaceful place, Nakia had lingered on the shoreline while watching several other couple pass by, simply walking or standing while enjoying the embrace of those they loved...
Much like they were doing now. Pulling away from his embrace, Nakia smiled and stared at Dinyin with neon-blue eyes, breathing in his earthy scent while admiring how handsome he was. The colors of the sunset accented the warm brown of his fur while the wind played with his curly mane...for a spilt second, the wind mare swore she saw transparent wings folded up against his sides.
Her Knight in Shining Armor, he was. Stepping closer again, Nakia shuffled so she was standing beside him and laided her head on his shoulder. "Dinyin...which do you like better? Your tree or this shoreline?"

Love, a feeling hidden deep within yourself that you had to learn and earn. It never came to Dinyin's mind that he would one day find the one. He'd normally think about the lazier things, like what he should eat. He worried about those. However, now was a complete new beginning, his heart raced as she nickered back. He thanked the couple up in the mountains silently and nuzzled her neck, feeling the warmth hit his nostrils. She smelt good, a swet scent. One that attracted him.
Her head felt soft against himself, Din smiled and looked out into the seas. The washign waves crashing into itself. "Anywhere with you....." he looked at her from the corner of his eyes, "I would like." The beat of his heart and her breathing somehow ended up with the same beat. The stallion closed his eyes and flicked his tail at her then pulled it away, repeating the action. He too shuffled and closer to her to let his side touch hers. If he had two-leggers' arms, he would hold her hand. They stood silently, he let it be silent before opening his mouth, then shutting it to think of a subject. "This is just....magical," whispering but he let it be loud enough for her to hear. It was like magic. A love that he did not consider even his mother and father had with each other. A relationship that he will put all his energy into keeping it. Course he did not want to end up like his dear sister. That was a tragic ending. How heartbroken she must be.
The wind continued its soft blow at them, causing him to shiver a bit but on one side, Nakia's side, he felt warm. A hott feeling rosed to his cheecks as he blushed. Couldn't believe he was beside her. All the stalking paid off. [[ xDD heh. ]]

"Magical?" She smiled at the soft comment and closed her eyes, feeling his soft fur caress her face as he nuzzled her; gently flicking her braided tail at him in return, she opened her eyes and stared out at the endless horizen glimmering in the vanishing sunlight.
A love that had started as a simple knot to be pulled apart at anytime had swiftly changed into something more...something stronger. The spirits had indeed blessed the two of them for life, perhaps longer. Rubbing her cheek against his shoulder, the silver mare listened to the throbbing of his heartbeat for a moment before returning her gaze back out to the ocean. "Yes, though I think there is another word to describe it..." She whispered back to him, not wanting to break the serenity of the moment the moment. Straightening up so she was shoulder to shoulder with the tall stallion, Nakia playfully nipped at his mane and tugged on a lock of the curly strands before releasing them to watch them flow in the breeze.
"Anywhere?" She tossed him a mischievious smile and unfolded one of her wings to drape it across his back as the coming nightfall caused the air to cool. "Then you best get yourself a pair of wings, Love." She giggled, eyes glimmering with a bright light. "Unless you would rather have me carry you?"

Chuckling as she played with his mane and tail. The stallion bent a bit and took a tug at her tail. Smiling at the one he planned on spending the rest of his entire life with. Another word? He pondered for a bit, but remembered a recent word he just learnt from the meeting of the two wise ones on the mountain. Thsiwas fate, fate had made him go up that mountain and found out the truth for himself. Eyes sparkling, filled with joy. His ears intently listened for her to speak. Such a lovely voice that ruled over the silence. "Love.....love is what we have aint it?" He asked pulling away to look at her and wink. Then slowly pushing himself back to standing beside her. Shuffling a little closer just so they were touching more. The feel of her warmth made him just feel jittery. Oh goodness, he will never leave her side...onless needed to for some (and better be a good one) reason. A life with Nakia was just like winning the lottery. Never thought he could end up like in this spot today. Always thought about food and all. This was real, wasnt it? Dinyin took a tug at her mane and chuckled. Her smell filling his nostrils. Unlike flowers, which smelt a little too strong, her scent was just perfect. Not too strong. Her wing brushed aginst and over his back. Made the stallion straightened up a bit, wishing he had the wings to put it around her. Dinyin looked away to blush. Putting your 'arm' around a lvoe was the male's part. He started mumbling a bit to himself to why he couldn't have a pair of wings as she mentioned he should get a pair.
Turning to face her with a smile. "Well, on foot we're just as good." Another wink. "I'm determined to keep you on earth's surface...and oh you will be for a very very very long time," wiggling his eyebrows. Something he never thought he could do. Carry him? If anything, he should carry her, another man's job that she suggested upon herself. Another sigh. "Nu uh, no carrying me. Only time you'll need to carry me is when......" he paused at the dirty joke and decided that best not to get on that subject as it made his stomache feel funny and also might make her feel uncomfortable. Make him seem horny. Smiling as a replacement. Hoping, or somewhat hoping she got the joke but it would not get inbetween the two. Laying his head on the other side of her, he pulled his head towards himself to 'tighten' a hug around her. Horsey hug. he meant too much to him to let go.

"Love?" What a simple word to describe an overflowing emotion. Gently tossing her head as he nibbled on her mane in return, she ducked her head and gently nuzzled against the strong neck while breathing in his familiar earthy scent. Flowers, grass, even the tree that he had claimed as his own. All those wonderful scents mixed together and clung to his soft coat for her to enjoy forever. They, mixed in with the romantic sensations of the beach, just caused her to drift away; that is, until Dinyins' light remark brought the mare back to earth. "Keep me on earth?" She smiled and blushed at the wink. "If you do that, my wings might fall off from the lack of use!" She laughed and returned the gentle embrace as the sunset drifted below the horizen and the stars flickered to life; silent witnesses to the bond the two Soquili forged. Ignoring the horny joke, she smiled and pulled back; just enough so she could lay her head on his broad shoulder again. Song started to bubble up in the back of her throat and touch her tounge; words describing this moment and moments to come just could not be held back. Humming softly, she gently sang the loving words; soft enough so the wind could not carry them away but loud enough so Dinyin could hear her:
"Like the sound of silence calling, I hear your voice and suddenly I'm falling, lost in a dream. Like the echoes of our souls are meeting, You say those words and my heart stops beating. I wonder what it means. What could it be that comes over me? At times I can't move. At times I can hardly breath.
When you say you love me The world goes still, so still inside and When you say you love me For a moment, there's no one else alive
You're the one I've always thought of. I don't know how, but I feel sheltered in your love. You're where I belong. And when you're with me if I close my eyes, There are times I swear I feel like I can fly For a moment in time. Somewhere between the Heavens and Earth , And frozen in time, Oh when you say those words...." ((I don't own this song! But it describes her feelings so much I just had to have her sing it! <3 Here be the youtube video where I found the song. Take a listen! Rest of the lyrics are there too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3869VfYNWk&feature=related ))

Dinyin chuckled at her comment about her wings falling off by the lack of using them. When his love began singing, Dinyin closed his own eyes and enjoyed the sweet song which flowed around them. The wind and waves seem to have stopped and paused just for this lovely moment. Nothing else seems to be making a noise as if they were alone. Her voice echoed, or what it seemed, and the warm feeling within him started frowing hot and his face started up its temperature. A tingly feeling from where Nakia had laid her head, Dinyin could feel it run from his shoulder and climb down his spine all the way to his tailbone. The world had fallen asleep to her voice, and he was about to too. Such lovely and true words sung with the most beautiful voice hes ever heard. So many thoughts and comments he wanted to burst out to her, but could not. They clung to his tongue and would not roll off. His heart skipped a beat everytime she brought up a new word. Why couldnt he compliment her? Is it because even words could not describe this feeling. Indeed there were no words. He had asked what love was, but clearly gt a blurr from the two one the mountain. Clearly, you'll know what love is when you've felt it. This, is very much more than friendship and more than 'like'. He wanted to spend every moment with her.
After she had stopped, the world seem to resume itself, and the waves began crashing into each other again. A few birds chirped and called out to each other near by. The wind continued to blow through his hair and brush against him. With his eyes closed, a faint yellow glow started appearing. Opening his eyes, he blinked a few times at how bright the day light was. Oh it was wonderful day to be out. He turned to his favourite mare, and smiled. Then leaning his head against hers. There were just no words in the world to explain to her how he felt. No action big or sweet enough to show how fond he is of her. Nothing, nothing could portray it. They...just have to know it inside. That they really felt the same way about each other. [[ ;o; the words to that song made my heart felt weak and skip a beat ]]

Nakia let the last of the gentle melody pass into the air before turning to stare at her mate, giggling softly at the dumb-struck expression on his face. Reaching up, she nipped and tugged on his ear to get him back onto planet earth before letting go. "You stare off into space, love. Was my song really that bad?"
The birds floating on the wind chirped their own greetings towards the two before fluttering away as the warm glow of the sun cast its' gentle light on the shore. So warm it was...nothing could ruin this day...
