Tama stretched, his paws still feeling a little big. but he was happy. He had new siblings! Seven beautiful new siblings! Though...one had a tendency to nom on his tail. He trotted out from the den, curious as to what he would find today. Maybe the reason he was here? He still trusted his old mother's Sight, and he knew she'd left him for a reason, told him he had to find something here. And so far, he'd found a family.
Shiri and Kei and all their cubs and the hares. It made him happy to have such a big family! He purred as he spotted a dung beetle, trundling along without a ball of dung for once. He growled playfully and crouched down. The great hunter Tama was ready to spring.

It was a strange day. Ekundayo was out and about... on her own. Mivu was nowhere to be seen, which was a strange sight indeed. Ekundayo usually went nowhere without her oldest brother to protect her. Perhaps the little white cub was feeling particularly adventurous? Well, whatever the reason, she meandered along happily, eyes turned skywards to watch the intermittent passings of various fowl.
So, its wasn't surprising that she passed right by Tama without noticing him. With her gaze focused upwards, how was she supposed to notice him stalking the dung beetle? Dayo was no hunter -- she was merely a young cub. So, her senses weren't honed quite enough yet to sense Tama lurking nearby.

Tama blinked as something passed him. Something white. White?! He hadn't seen another white cub since he'd gotten here! He was quickly alert and ignoring the beetle. He blinked, staring at the girl-cub that had passed him. Yup. Very white. He smiled brightly.
"Heyla!" Maybe she was related to him? Maybe she was just another with a white coat? Oh the mysteries! But he would ask in due time. For now...he was just glad to see another white among all the brown and tan and gold.

Ekundayo really wasn't aware that Tama was anywhere close to her. The bright blue sky, with its fluffy, white clouds was just so pretty! So, when Tama addressed her, Dayo gave a squeal of fright and leapt into the air [think of a scared housecat 8D]. She whirled to face him, for she had been looking in the opposite direction. Due to being so scared, her fur stood on end, and her tail was held out straight-as-a-stick. Her ears lay flat against her head, and her body sunk low to the ground, a submissive posture, as well as frightened.
"Oh! I di-didn't see you there," Ekundayo stammered out in a small, quiet voice. She inspected the older male with some curiosity, intrigued by his entirely-white pelt. He looked like her! A bit older, but still -- a lot like herself! Ekundayo was a bit amazed to see another entirely-white lion in the area. All of her siblings had some sort of brown, gold, or tan coloration; she was the only white one.

Tama jumped a little when she squealed. He hadn't meant to frighten her! He looked rather apologetic, a genuine 'sorry' in his blue eyes.
"That's okay...I'm sorry for scaring you like that. I got a bit excited..." He smiled softly. "I haven't seen another white cub since I got here...until you of course." And he hadn't seen an all-white lion or lioness either, not since his mother had left him to the care of the Pridelands.
"I'm Tama...what's your name?"

Ekundayo relaxed somewhat when she realized that her squealing in fright had actually scared Tama a little. Realizing that she had frightened him, too, made Ekundayo feel a little guilty. The little cub looked up at the older male, her expression also apologetic.
"I didn't mean to scare you, either," she admitted. Her voice was still quiet and soft, but she couldn't help but giggle a little bit at what had happened. "That was kind of silly... you scared me, then I scared you." Ekundayo giggled again, her expression brightening considerably.
"I'm Ekundayo," she returned the introduction, smiling at Tama. "Are you the only other white lion around here?" She asked, curious to know if they were a unique pair.
