Gunlock's the latest of the series, and as far as I know, production of the following series hasn't started yet. Gunlock ended with the Hazel arc, and that's currently where the manga is, too. So, we might have a wait a li'l bit still for the next installment.
But at least we can be assured that it's not the end. The Ikkou still has to reach Houtoujou, and confront Nii at some point. As much as I don't want it to come, I can't wait to see how it's all going to wrap up. It's anyone's guess how it ends, I think.

During some sort of Saiyuuki convention in Japan a few months back, Hoshi Souichirou, Goku's VA, kinda "accidentally" let out that they're in the process of making another movie. :3
Of course, before he could spit out any details, he was immediately hushed by the other seiyuu, lol.

Eiiiiiiii! Can't wait to see the first movie, if there's two saiyuki movies then adding all the series together with the movies you get one super awesome week without sleep.

So, if there's another Saiyuki movie in the works in Japan...it'll be in the US in...six years? XD;

There's also an OAV (or OVA if you prefer) for Saiyuki, too. I think the Japanese name is Kibou no Zaika. It's interactive, however since I lack a Japanese PS2 or any of the modifiers to make it play Japanese games, I don't know what the deal is with the interaction. The story itself is okay, worth getting if your an avid Saiyuki fan.

I have a question about the movies, actually...
Are they a continual of the series, or, are they just different incarnations of what's going on?

Razielistic I have a question about the movies, actually...
Are they a continual of the series, or, are they just different incarnations of what's going on? It's kind of both sweatdrop In Requiem, they are still heading West and the Kougaiji-tachi are there. But in Requiem they end up saving this girl named Houran, and she takes them to her master, Dougan's, place in thanks. Blah blah blah, stuff happens, I don't want to spoil the movie for you 3nodding In short, same storyline, but a "new" enemy. Highly recommend Requiem!
