Carnadhiel did so and eventually became General of that pride. After serving the pride for many years, she was betrayed and taken to an enemy pride where males were completely dominant. She was kept as a slave. But it wasn't long before she escaped and freed the rest of the female slaves in the pride. After escaping, she wandered for many days in search of a place to call home until her wandering led her to the Antianeira. She has called it home ever since. Carnadhiel isn't one to show much emotion. She never laughs or smiles, constantly giving an icy, stiff-faced look and speaking in a rather calm, emotionless tone. She was seen as peculiar for her wing markings when no one else in her family had them, and was thus seen as an illegitimate lovechild from her mother parading about with a family friend or something supernatural due to strange happenings during her birth.When her sister was born and found to be crippled, Elphaba was expected to take care of her, which she did without any complaints.When she became an adolescent, she was tutored by a respected scholar, but also went to the main scholar circles with the other lions in the surrounding prides. During that time, she started dto pull away from society both by disliking it and feeling manipulated by the leaders of the scholar circles. There had been talk that she might have had a assassin assigned to kill her as she started to oppose their ideas and cause ripples in the peace of the pride. Becoming fed up, she went to live alone, having given up on political change in the pride after a mate and childhood friend died through association with her. Fleeing, she went to the rouge lands, but grew to want to reassociate herself with a pride. After traveling and looking trough many prides, she joined the Antianeira as a guard.
