The golden mare who took her pelt after her mother and her mane after her father, glimmered with a brilliant glow that could only be explained by one thing.
The mare had become pregnant, and though it was unexpected, it was not unwelcomed. Her mate, Yiska, and she had been thinking about foals for awhile, but they had decided not to try..
She giggled as their not trying had turned into a big round belly that she now carried.
Funny how life worked.
She hadnt spoken to her parents yet, though she figured theyd be together as the pair had always been. Inseperable.
"A lovelike theirs.."
She said with a smile and shake of her head.
You couldnt match their love..They lived only for each other.
And she was feeling that way about Yiska.
Her curled tail flicked behind her and her chocolate eyes gleamed with mischief and newfound mother hood.
What would she do with foals? Could the loner mare really raise socially acceptable foals?
She had no idea, but her mother had donea damn good job..So she figured she could too..Though she remembered her and Tsa getting their mother all confused on a daily basis. They loved teasing their too sweet mother..
But her eyes brightened as the hue of a familiar coat caught her eyes.
"Daddy!!"

Otaikimmio'tokaan had been doing a lot of thinking recently.
Granted it had been very Esper-centric, but even sweet thoughts of his beloved mate would constitute deep thinking when he was puzzling over how many different ways he could surprise her. Naturally, it just didn't seem right to him to find out that he was a great great grandpa.. so he wouldn't use that sort of a thing to surprise Esper... afterall.. Bonfire had mentioned that mares could get funny about the age thing...and Tai was intelligent enough not to want to test the theory.
Unlike Killian, who had promptly tramped over to Amarinne and asked her age.
Smiling at the thought, Tai allowed his thoughts to wander away from Esperanza's lovely eyes and drift towards images of his adopted family and of his lovely children. He had recently heard news of Biscuit, that the young rake was showing his true colors as a doting father, and that Tsalyui and Andre were as much in love as they ever were. Marahute he had heard little of, though the rumors on the wind were of a dashing young stallion... though as of yet Tai had not met him nor heard his name.
Troubling, but Tai trusted his daughter.. even if she had been quite the handful as a rebellious youth.
So really, the sound of that very same daughter's voice echoing towards him served as a surprise he had been planning to spring on Esper, but with his characteristic resilience, Tai sprung back from the shock and lurched to his feet, replying in kind with a jovial grin on his face the belied the onset of age that had settled around his eyes and jawline.
"Mara!"

Her eyes were happy as she saw her father. She had missed him quite dearly, and had not seen him since she was a true youth.
But her bloated belly would show a surprise she was sure her father could handle.. Or could he? She knew her mother had been excited, though she had told herself seh was not old all that week..
Would father take it the same? She didnt understand the whole thing with other mares and ages..She guessed it was just their perogative.
"Oh father!"
She cried, rushing to him,and circling him with happiness and ease. Her golden body glittering.
"Father how have you been?"

While Tai was not the most assuming of stallions, when it came to his daughters and his son.. precious little escaped his notice.
Almost immediately he took note of the tone of her voice, the her heavy footfalls, and the glowing swell along her stomach that curved sharply upwards to her haunches.
But really, the happy glow about his golden daughter was all he really needed to see, so with a glad whinny he welcomed her wholesomely, reaching forward to embrace her in a equine neck-hug.
"This... has been FAR too long my dear Mara! And what have we here! Turn about so I may have a look at the fine motherly figure you cut!" He said, smiling from ear to ear. He had missed Tsa's pregnancies... and Biscuit's mate Lovey's as well... so he made a vow as he watched his lovely golden child that he would BE THERE for this group of grandkids.
Come hell or high water.

She smiled widely, so happy that her father had noticed without her having to tell him.
She had been far from her family too long, and Marahute had always been closest with her father..If only for the term daddys girl.
She hugged him back, tightly, before lipping his man and nuzzling him.
She was a good girl, so she knew her father knew that this wasnt unplanned, or unwanted..She was completely and utterly in love..Something she had seen her mother and father be, and she felt she needed to be that way.
She hadnt seen Esperanza in a very long time..and wanted nothing more than to see her.
She angled her neck, looking to see if the palomino was behind him.
But she was not there, and so Marahute turned her attention to her father once more.
"Mother didnt want to come with you on your walk?"
She asked smiling.
She knew she needed to see her family more..She too, was making a vow to see them more.
"And it has!"
She turned in a 360, and stopped only to show him the bulge in her belly.
"Look at how big they grow each day!"
