 It had been a while since Forte had seen Thanatos. But she went and saw them, and for the first time, he showered some time of feeling other then jerkiness. He hated that she had gotten close to another male. She was happy, honestly to hear him say 'his bonded' and such. She giggled as she padded through the woods quickly, and then popped out further down by the river again and headed east. She wanted to get to the end of the river at the border... Jaden said he'd meet her there.

 Jaden's tail wagged contentedly. Forte and he had agreed to meet here and it was always a pleasure to talk to her. He was a bit disappointed at how slow their relationship was going but he didn't want to rush her. Perhaps it was his fault, because he was still stuck between her and Lunar? But sometimes, it was hard to tell because Lunar didn't visit him as often. He knew Forte liked someone else, she had told him that, but they haven't seen each other for a while and he wondered if it would be just a forgotten love. He sat, thinking for a while until her scent reached him. He got up expectantly, smiling in his eagerness and waited until she was close enough to say a greeting. Before that could happen, the winds shifted and he smelled another wolf behind her. His hackles raised instantly and he growled. Did the strange wolf mean her harm? Worried for her sake, he ran the rest of the way. "Hello," he said to her. The other wolf might be her friend and he didn't want to offend her but he put himself a little bit behind her, just in case.

At this point Thanatos wasn't sure Forte was still unaware of his presence as he followed her. He wanted to see where she was going and if it was to this male...what he looked like and who he was. No matter what, this male was a threat to Thanatos finally finding happiness and stable ground. He finally caught the sent of another wolf nearby, male. He peeled his lips back over his teeth and he hunched down and stalked quietly out of sight. He wanted to get a look at the other male first.

Jaden looked around, confused. Did he just imagine the other male? He took a deep breath and he smelled the other but it was very faint now that the wind had died. "Did you bring a friend?" he asked Forte curiously. He still kept himself on guard. If the other wolf was her friend then why would he hide? Perhaps he was here to hurt her after all! His fur bristled at the thought and took a step closer to her.

Forte looked over at Jaden's eargerness. It was cute in the young male. She laughed a little to herself, and she leaned over to nuzzle him a hello. "A friend?" Forte looked behind her and make a bit of a face. Thanatos had gone down the river... she took a forest path... Haru wasn't around was he? And Lunar was off somewhere. Forte nor Jaden ever made the connection between Lunar being the same one they both knew. "No, I didn't." She tilted her head some and she padded forward a bit, "its probably nothing. What did you have in mind for todays visit?" She asked him happily. They had usually planned things to do, like hunting or swimming. She wondered what would be on the agenda for today.

Thanatos' fur stood on end all along his spine. This must be the male Forte had mentioned. Haru was a male Thanatos didn't fret over as he saw Forte as a maternal figure. But this male as an alpha and getting to close for comfort when it concerned Thanatos' bonded and hopefully mate. His tail poofed up like a bottle brush as he watched the two from his hidden place among the bushes. He kept his teeth bared in agitation. A soft breeze came up and tussled his fur making it stand more on end. His muscles bunched with the need to put this male in his place, making note that he appeared younger than both Thanatos and Forte. His bared teeth turned into a sadistic grin. He wasn't named after a god of death for no reason. Even as a pup he proved tough and mean.

((Sorry I reply late, lots of HW and I'm not allowed to get on until I finish it all :/ Do we make Jaden+Thanatos fight? If so, who wins? (prefers Thanatos wins 'cause like I never RP fought before XP) If not I already have some lines planned for Jaden -is wimp- .____.))
His tail raised, it always pleased him to hear Forte laugh, especially when it was him who made her happy. "No?" his mane bristled but he didn't want to worry her. "Would you like to go to the beach, today?" ((Is there a beach somewhere close by? If not I'll just edit this part.)) he asked. There were large rocks nearby and he could protect her better there, if he could trap the stranger in the rocks. The water usually helped too, by weighing down an enemy, unless it was him who got wet. He thought of the advantages and disatvantages of fighting on the beach and hoped the other wolf he saw was just passing by. He prefered not to fight.

( XD yes, Thanatos will be the winner~ for any type of fight. It could always jsut be more stand offs then anything if you wanted. As for the beach... probably not an Ocean, but lake would be more likely? )
Forte glanced at him, and then behind her... She they had been upwind from the other so no scent was passed... She tilted her head and smiled. "The beach sounds lovely Jaden." She acted as only friend with Jaden. She voiced to him, her feeling about Thanatos and never looked for another male to take that place. Where Jaden stood was in a different place then Forte hoped. "So Jaden, what ever happened to that other female you told me about? That one with the black fur, and moon? Did anything ever happened with you two?" She asked him in a curious manner. In the back of her mind she was thinking of Thanatos.

"Oh," he blushed. "Nothing's happened yet, although we meet when we can." He wondered if she was asking because she was getting more intrested in him. She looked like she was thinking of something important. Was he important to her? Hmm... "She's very beautiful but you're beautiful, too. You two look so similar, I wonder if you've ever met each other before." he laughed. He figured it would be awkward for him if they did know each other. "What about you and Thanatos? Have you seen him recently?" he was curious to see her reaction. Would she be more intrested in Lunar? He didn't think he'd ever told her Lunar's name. And she hadn't talked about Thanatos for a while. Was it over between the two of them?

She laughed at him a little, as they walked. "Well thank you, its nice to hear that." She smiled and nodded at him. "She sounds lovely. That pelt of hers must be a sight to see. I know a girl, that has a lovely one. " She took a breath and sighed lightly. "Oh yes, I just saw him actually..." She looked over at him waiting for his reaction. "I told him about you. He didn't seem all that happy, got a bit jealous. But... I think the fear of me not being around anymore, did get him to finally say what I've been waiting to hear." She smiled some... She blushed under the fur, but no one could see it. "He called me his bonded. I don't think I've felt so happy in my entire life." She glanced over at him again.

His ears twitched. That wasn't really the response he was hoping for but at least she cared about him. He smiled and asked, "Oh? And what might--" he was about to ask for the name of the wolf with the similar pelt until he heard her next words. "He called you his bonded?" he was getting worried and slightly angry but... she said she'd never been so happy in her entire life. "Are you happy with him?" he asked, wondering if there were any doubts she had about him. He kept his voice casual, and looked straight ahead as if it didn't matter to him but he watched her from the corner of his eye.

Thanatos kept his distance as he followed them to where ever. Some beach from what he heard. But then the conversation turned back to him and he listened more intently. He kept a watch on the male as Forte's words sunk in. He saw the displeasure. Thanatos was increasingly noticing that this male wanted Forte too. Well as long as he had breath in his body, no one would get Forte. His fur bristled as he listened to the exchange of words and hated how close the male was to Forte.

Forte blinked at him and she sighed a little. No matter how hard he tried, she was able to sense it in his voice. "Sure, he's a little rough around the edges... and sure, he can be a jerk. But.. He's all I've never known, and he does make me happy." She stopped walking, seeing as he wouldn't even look at her. "Jaden, you know i care about you. But... Not like that. Maybe under other circumstances... But.." She whimpered, trailing off.

He listened to her words and it felt like his chest was ripping in two. Suddenly, he looked up, shocked by her whimper. "Oh! Of course I know you care about me. I understand. It was my fault, I knew you were intrested in someone else but I still went after you. Please don't be sad. Like they say, 'I'm happy if you're happy'." he was ranting. He tried to laugh, hoping it would make her feel better. "And if this is really what you want, I won't stand in your way. I want you to be happy, too, you know." he nuzzled her. He was calming down now, and he didnt speak as fast. "I mean, it may be sad but it isn't the end of the world, so don't look so sad. We can still be friends, right?" he asked hopefully.

Thanatos swiftly and quietly moved through the bushes. He moved around them at a wide berth before turning and head straight towards them head on. He pushed through a couple ferns and stood in front of Jaden and Forte. Thanatos kept his tail and head held high.
