This thread is just in case something happens in another guild and I'd like to save this stuff. I may delete it later on or move it, but for now, it's going here.

Assassin's Bureau

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Sectors:
1 - Check In / Filing: This is where everyone has to go through to get into the Assassin’s Bureau. They must sign in, unless they are one of the founders. There are two people who are constantly there to make sure no one gets in who shouldn't be there. There are also a few rooms filled with papers and records.

2 - Indoor/Outdoor Training Grounds:This area is for the use of inside, outside training to keep your body in tip-top shape. All fighting challenges that are made MUST be fought in the outside arena and can be watched by others if permitted.

3 - Trading/Weapon Sales/'Blak' Market: This is where everyone can buy and trade weapons.

4 - Bunkers: These are the bunkers as the name states. Assassins are permitted to have dorm like places to sleep and call their homes if they wish. There can be as many people living in one room or two or three but we’d advise that you keep it small since the rooms aren’t that large.

5 - Lounge / Bar: This area was made for relaxing and drinking. Fresh beer and wine are sold at the bar and hot food is offered at a small price. The kitchen is open to all who wish to use it. You must, however, bring your own utensils.

6 - Blacksmith Area: The blacksmith sharpens swords and other weapons. He is paid with whatever, money, food, etc. Make the offer and he'll either accept or decline.

7 - Public Garden: Get here quickly, claim your spot, and you're good. Anyone can grow what they want here, though it isn't guaranteed that it will grow properly. Mostly, everyone picks their own food that they grow, but there are the few occurrences when someone's plants were taken by someone who didn't plant them. Try not to step on the plants.

8 - Lake: People can fish here, go swimming, or get their water, though the stream is used mostly for drinking water. There are plenty of fish, though sometimes they have to stop or cut down on fishing in order for the fish to re-multiply, but that is fairly rare.

9 - Billboard: This is where records, announcements, etc. are posted. They are updated whenever they need to be, which usually isn't very often.

10 – Gate: This is a gate locked by the founders and can only be opened by them. The gate requires three things for it to open which remain a secret.

57 - Cole & Flint's (founder's) Building: This is the living quarters of the founders. No one has walked in unatended and survived. We’d advise that you keep away from it.

58 - Private!!! Death to all who find their way in.

Cole walked into Hyrule Field and his silver eyes scanned it's vastness. They stopped on a small group, quite a ways away. "Well....that was fast..." He said quietly to Flint. He began moving quickly and quietly towards them. He kept to the shadows to stay out of the sight of unwelcomed eyes.

He finally came to the edge of the forest behind the ground and climbed up one of the trees. He crouched down on the tree branch with a smirk on his face.

Celest was standing quite still as she stared off into the distance. She suddenly felt something hit the back of her neck and then a sharp pain. She let out a small yelp as she reached back. She felt around the hood by her neck. She felt something small that had penetrated the hood and had dug into her flesh.
"What....?" She felt the object for a moment before pulling it out. It was a small silver corn holder. Her blood dripped from one end of it. She rubbed her neck and turned around to see were it came from. She saw nothing but the forest behind her.

Meanwhile, Cole had snuck behind them. He slowly made his way out, making sure to stay behind everyone's backs. He came behind Luna and quickly put his hands over her mouth and pulled her backwards. He was headed for the cover of the woods.

Luna went to gasp but was stopped by Cole's rough hands.

Aurora bit into Cole's flesh, her teeth sinking in and finding blood.

Flint reached the group quite quickly, his body not even tired.
He paused in front of Celest and Elliot, smiling at them.
"oh.... why fancy meeting you here." He said with an evil grin.

Cole gritted his teeth as Aurora bit into him. He continued to pull backwards, keeping his hand tight over Luna's mouth so that she couldn't yell. He figured they all knew she was being pulled away, but he didn't want to take the chance. He came to the woods and threw Luna to the ground, hoping Aurora would follow. They were quite a ways from the group, and out of ear shot now. He shook his arm that Aurora had bit and rubbed the spot. "Uhh...finally."

He looked behind him. 'Is Flint going to take care of Aurora or what? Ahh, I'll have to do it myself then....' He turned back to Aurora. "Hey, kitty, why don't you go play with your other friends. Me and Luna have got business to discuss." He figured that wouldn't be enough to make her leave, but he wanted to see what kind of reaction he'd get.

Celest threw the corn holder to the side and continued to rub the back of her neck. "I don't know....kind of lame if you ask me..." She turned her eyes towards Flint. She had never seen him in person before but she had heard about him. "What do you want?"

Aurora spat at him, although she didn't look like much since she was still a cat.
"Your as bad as a vampire you filth!" She growled.

Flint smiled.
"Oh, this and that. Perhaps a cat to stuff and maybe a pair of wings to hand on my wall. But that'll be up to you." His smile widened.
"I won't do much though. It isn't my time. I have to go get that stupid cat first."
He turned and rushed off into the forest.
He appeared, crouched, in front of Aurora. He smiled as he picked up the cat and threw it. Aurora went sailing through the trees, every time she seemed to get close to the ground Flint would be there to kick her back up.
She finally hit the group outside the forest, her body broken and she left gasping for breath.
"Now," he seethed, "Stay there like a good little kitty and I'll try not to cause anymore bones to be broken."

Cole smirked at Aurora's comment. "Why thank you." put his hands on his hips and watched as she got kicked around by Flint. "Looks like you're having fun."
He turned towards Luna. "Now it's my turn. You know why I'm here? It's for you. I thought we should have a little one on one chat. You know. Catch up. I haven't seen you in, what? 6, 7 years?"
He paced over to another tree and stood, leaning against it. He turned his head so he was looking behind him. "I don't think it's kicked in yet....guess we'll just have to wait a bit longer...."

Celest took a step towards Aurora but then stopped. She put her hand on her head and blinked a few times. She swayed backwards and had to take a few steps in order to keep her balance. "Uhh....I don't...I don't feel....well..." Her hood fell off her head as she fell backwards again. This time, she wasn't able to catch herself and she fell to the ground. She was sitting up, still holding her head.

"Damn!"
Elliot rushed over to Celest.
He handed her a bottle of purplish stuff from inside his coat pocket.
"Drink. It'll keep you going until I get Luna.
"Well, I have to go find Luna.
I'm sorry, but there isn't anything I can do about
you. Luna specializes with healing. I need to go get her."
Elliot disappeared in a blur.
He was after Flint, because he seemed to be closest.

"I'm sorry..." Celest began to say before Elliot diapered. She looked down at the potion and took the lid off. She took one drink of it and immediately started coughing. She was able to swallow most of it. When she finally stopped she stared down at the grass for a moment, the bottle still in her hand. She blinked a few times and something on her face seemed to...change. She set the bottle down on the ground next to her and stood up. She looked down at her empty hand as an ice dagger began to form in it.
"Elliot! Wait! I feel better now." She called as she began to walk foreword in the direction she saw him leave.

Flint was on his way out of the forest, after Aurora when Elliot filled his view, his eyes catching his quick movements.
"I'm sorry," he said, darting in front of him, "I can't allow you to go any further." A smile had disappeared on his face as he spoke to Elliot.

Luna struggled to stand, her body a bit bruised from Cole's rough throw.
She grasped her staff and smiled slightly.
"Oh, the nostalgia is just /killing/ me." She growled, "But I can't allow you to hurt my allies." she paused and smirked, " What are you planning? Are you going to try and frame me again?-"
She was slowly inching towards him while she spoke and while she was ending her sentence she swung her staff hard, the metal hurling forward at surprising speed at Cole's knees.

Aurora gasped for breath, thankful that she was not yet dead. The sounds around her were faint, like whispers upon the wind. It was a voice deep inside her that seemed to lift her to her feet. It was the voice that sent energy through her, that reverted her to her normal self.
She grasped her side as she tried to move, however, pain strapped her to the ground where she stood. she eyed the the bottles carefully, looking to the precious liquid. At this moment, she could only hope for this miracle.
She inched forward to the bottles, gasping as she made her way there and grabbed a bottle. She struggled to pull off the lid but was rewarded with the sweet taste of the elixir.
Her health improved, her body energized. Her bones were fused together once more, but her sides stayed bruised.
"That's better," She said, but only a whisper escaping.

Cole had been keeping an eye on Luna as she got closer to him. Her movements suggested an attack, so he was ready. He was, however, surprised at the agility of her attack. He jumped, just barley skimming the edge of her staff with his feet. He landed next to the tree and he backed up a step in case she were to attack again.
"Aww, why would you think I would do such a thing like that? I came here for you, not those....others. I can't say the same about Flint, though..." He began to walk a bit foreword and sideways, trying to circle around Luna.
"And what would you think I'd blame /you/ for? We're not in school anymore. You obviously don't know me at all. What a shame." He lifted his fists up and began to crack his knuckles. "And why are you being so hostile? I thought I said I just want to talk." The mischievous smirk on his face told otherwise.

Luna smirked as she pulled back, leaping a few feet.
"Oh, I don't know. You being an assassin and all. I doubt you'd just want to talk."
She glared at her staff and was surprised to see it respond with a bright blue glow. The metal began to morph, its usual rounded arches now pointed and sharp, the orb floating in the middle.
'Surprising,...' she thought to herself.
She snapped her shirt strap and looked back to Cole with a smile.
"So, what do you want to "talk" about?" she asked.

Cole stared at the morphed staff. 'Oh, so now it's a weapon. Okay then....' He thought to himself.
He pulled out his curved dagger and rubbed his thumb along the blunt side of it. "Oh, you know. This and that. Let's get to /know/ each other. I thought maybe we could be /friends/." His eyes were laughing as he spoke. He wasn't quite close enough to attack Luna, unless he were to throw his dagger, so he decided to wait to see if she would attack him.

Luna eyed the dagger carefully, inspecting its short blade.
"What are you going to do? Poke me to death?" She gave him a laugh and stepped back.
"A rabbit could do more damage me," a chirp came from her side carrying bag and she paused for a second. "Oh, sorry... No offense to you Rif."
She turned her attention back to Cole.

Cole, also, laughed at Luna's comment. "That would make things more interesting, yes." He looked down at his dagger and he placed the tip of the blade on his thumb. He pressed it down until the point cut the skin and a drop of blood fell. He pulled the dagger back without so much as a wince.
"Yes....that wouldn't do much damage." He looked back up at Luna. "And I would rather this be painful."
He continued to circle around. He came to a tree and went behind it. He didn't come back out, though. He had jumped onto one of the branches and then climbed up higher. After a few moments he appeared again above Luna with a smirk on his face. "Hello down there." He quickly threw a deku nut down in front of Luna, creating a blinding flash. Using the flash, he jumped down beside her and jabbed his dagger at her leg.

Luna went to cover her eyes but saw his movements first. she knocked away his dagger with the but of her staff. Turning with her waist, she brought down her staff on his back.
"Foul tricks won't work!" she yelled at him, her eys hurting her.

Cole fell against the ground as her staff hit his back. He recovered quickly and rolled sideways to get out of the way of any other attacks. As he rolled, he reached out to grab her ankle to try and pull her over.
'No matter how many hits she gets on me...as long as I get some good attacks, I'm not going to get angry...

Luna gave a shriek as she fell to her knees.
She staff caught her from falling too far to the ground.
She lifted it up and sent it for Cole's wrist.
She was happy she didn't have her robe on, she was able to but all her attention to Cole on not on how to move.
"Moon god hear my cry!" She yelled as her free hand gathered blue light at was sent at Cole's chest.

Cole had just let go of Luna's ankle as her staff hit his wrist. He pulled it away quickly to keep the damage to a minimal. He had rolled a bit away and sat up with one knee on the ground. He looked up in just enough time to see her attack coming, but not in enough time to dodge. It hit his chest and he began to fall back. He caught himself before he hit the ground, again and pushed himself up until he was standing. He put his hand to his chest were the attack had hit and looked up at Luna.
"I see you've learned some new moves." He pulled out two more daggers and held one in each hand. "Just remember, you were the one who attacked first." He backed up some more, never taking his eyes off Luna. His hands were down at his sides, seemingly innocent for the time being.

"And I'll keep in mind that you lost to a girl like me," She smiled as she stood and backed up.
She squinted for a moment.
"So..... what did you really want to talk about. Although I could never just see you talking....."
She was happy that he had kept her gloves on, they helped her with her magic and she'd hate to lose them.
For some strange reason the back of her hand burned but she put it aside for now.

"Oh, I haven't lost yet. I'm just getting started." Cole lurched his neck to the side and it made a loud cracking noise. He stopped backing up and started circling slowly around Luna again.
"I told you already. I thought we should catch up a little. So...what have you been up to since I've seen you last?"

"Oh, not much. Just honing my skills. I'm so happy that I could beat you up with them~!"
She clenched her fist as she recited the words in her mind.
Again her hand glowed blue, but this time it was pointed.
She raised it to her face and examined it.
"What do you think?" She asked, "Its a shame you left. You could have learned so much." her voice was a bit sad. she didn't really have anything against Cole. She actually wouldn't mind being his friend but he had obviously made it so that it'd never happen.
Her heart ached as she looked back at Cole.
"Why /did/ you leave?" she asked, her face confused.

Cole rolled his eyes. "You haven't beaten me....and I don't intend on letting you..." He mumbled under his breath.
At Luna's last sentence, Cole stopped walking. He stared at her with a straight face. Memories came flooding back to him. Memories he didn't want to remember. He blinked quickly to bring himself back to reality. "I...I had my reasons. That school was pointless." He spoke a little half-heartily. He was obviously thinking about something else.
He suddenly snapped himself back and the familiar grin returned to his face. "I'm not really one to use magic, ya know? The way I think of it...you're not really strong if you have to hide behind your magic all the time."

Luna shook her head a bit as she took the pose that was taught to her, left hand at her hip gripping her staff, the other palm open but curved slightly as it patiently waited upon her bend arm.
Her knees bent, her body leaning a bit back. she was poised and ready for anything.
She counted, as her breath slowed and grew shallow.
"You think you know so much." She said simply, her face straight.
"When all you know is childish myths taught to you by an amiture."
She stopped herself from letting a tear out, paused, and then spoke again.
"Choose your next action wisely my friend.... It may be the last you take."
She believed fully in her powers and her strength, and not a moment did her love for her god falter. Her eyes were shielded, much like her heart was now, and they burned with the simple urge to fight.

Cole didn't move. He stood still, watching Luna. His smirk had diapered and an almost serious expression replaced it. "I never said I knew everything, nor do I /want/ to know everything. I am not the fool you take me for." He continued to stand still as a slight breeze rustled the leaves of the forest. "I choose no action."

"Then what do you wish to do.... Killing me isn't an option either...."
She stood in her pose.
Like a statue in a garden, she showed no sign of life other than her slow, shallow breaths that hissed from her parted lips. She eyed his carefully, planning.

"Now why would I want to kill you? Just because I am an assassin doesn't mean that I kill every person I see. Though...I might if I'm having an off day. But that's beside the point." Cole stared right back at Luna, meeting her gaze.
"I say I'll take no action because I'm in no position to do so. If I threw one of my daggers at you, you'd have enough reaction time to block it. So all that would accomplish would be loosing one of my daggers. Then it would also leave me open for attack. So, I'm waiting on you."

"Fine," she said quietly, almost a whisper.
She stood straight up, her eyes closed.
She slammed her staff down upon the ground, her eyes flying open.
Her corneas were glowing blue as she lifted her gaze to Cole's face.
A circle of ancient writings formed on the earth around them, its border stretching 3 feet beyond where Cole stood.
"I hope you don't die Cole." she said, her voice sweeping through the air like a knife.
Her hair flowed in non-igsistant wind as she pulled up her staff once more.
"Ceado Hominus Pulchellus!" She yelled as swung her staff the ground and bolts of light shot towards Cole.

Cole's heart began to beat faster as Luna began her attack. "Yeah, finally! I haven't gotten this worked up in a while!"
When the bolts of light shot towards him, Cole lifted his dagger in front of his face to try and deflect it. One of the bolts hit the dagger and ricocheted off it. One other went past his head, but the rest slammed into him. He was sent backwards and landed on the ground a few feet away on one knee. His other dagger was sent flying and the blade sunk into the ground. He slowly pulled his hand away from his face. He was breathing hard now, but he was still smirking.
"That was....great." He turned and looked at his left shoulder were one of the bolts had hit him. His entire arm was tingling, and it was difficult for him to move it now.
He slowly got back to his feet, not showing any signs of the pain he felt besides his labored breathing. "Now it's my turn I guess." He drew his dagger back and threw it towards Luna. The aiming was a little off, but that was on purpose. He lunged foreword quickly and, when he was in close enough range, brought his leg up to kick Luna's stomach.

Luna went to dodge the dagger but recoiled instead.
The dagger skimmed past her cheek, cutting the skin, as she fell back from Cole's kick.
She grimaced and stabbed her staff into the ground, freeing her other hand.
She went to grip Cole's leg, for it was still making its impression upon her stomach.

Cole felt Luna's hands on his leg and his smirk widened. He bent over backwards until his hands reached the ground, his other foot still firmly planted. He then yanked the leg that Luna held backwards. He pulled it over the rest of his body and his other leg followed so he was doing a hand stand. He then brought his legs back down behind him and stood upright.

Luna's eyes widened as she was flung backwards.
"Oh no you're not!" she muttered as she let go and grabbed his rising shoulders.
She dug her feet into his back and pushed off.
She landed with a smirk and two planted feet.

Cole turned to face Luna and crossed his arms. "Nice. It seems they trained you pretty well in that school."
He eyed his dagger that was in the ground not to far from were he stood. He debated with himself on whether to get it or not. After a few moment, he squatted down casually. His legs were bent at the knee and his arms rested on his knees.

Luna lost her cool and began to pace.
Her staff was planted into the ground behind the ground that Cole stood on.
It was her only weapon, other than her magic and the dagger that Aurora had given her.
"Yes, they made sure I was able to fight. There's no point in sending a 16 year old out into the streets with out proper protection."
She glared at him as she paused and then returned to her pacing.
"Why are you doing this now!" she demanded. "Of all times Cole! Just like when we were young. You never really picked the right time."
She spun around to glare at him again.
"Why! Can't you leave me be! I've don't nothing to you! Oh no! But you did /everything/ to me! Or have you forgotten the planted evidence and crap load of work you did to make sure I was caught "red handed" when I did nothing wrong!"
Her face was growing hot with anger.
"Were you bored?!" She yelled at him again, her temper getting her.
They really were alike....

Luna loosing her temper only put Cole in a better mood. He laughed a little to himself before speaking.
"Maybe. Maybe I was bored. Maybe I wanted to blow off some steam. Not like you hid yourself at all. And that's true, you did nothing wrong. Buuut, that's just the way I am. You were the convenient target. I could have picked anyone else, but no. I picked you. Don't you feel so honored?" His smile grew as he spoke. He enjoyed pushing people's buttons. Especially someone like Luna who never seemed to loose her temper.

Elliot was ready.
He wasn't familiar with Flint's style of fighting,
but it didn't matter.
Elliot skidded to a halt, and twisted on his left heel.
His right foot flew up in the air at Flint's head,
the heel going to connect unless it was stopped.
With his right hand he drew his sword and swung at Flint's
waist.

Luna glared at Cole before regaining her cool.
"You're a cruel person..." she paused, "You're single aren't you.. Its kinda obvious..."
She continued her pacing but now with a smile.

Flint twitched slightly as she caught Elliots foot in one hand and blocked his sword with a dagger that he quickly pulled form his cloak.
He pushed Elliot's blade away and twisted his boot.
He pushed Elliot's foot towards him, seeing if he would fall off balance on his one foot.

Elliot fell, but brought his left leg up.
He brought it swinging down, his heel aimed at
Flint's head. Meanwhile, he twisted his wrist so
it rolled over Flint's dagger, and the blade swung at
Flint's hand. [the one with the dagger]

Flint moved the top of his body to the right, Elliot's blow hitting him in the shoulder. He placed his hands on Elliot's blade and pushed off it, his body flipping over and he landed to Elliot's left.
"Why not talk to your friend over there," he said, pointing in Celest's direction, "It seems that she's calling you. Don't you want to... heh,... protect her."
His eyes gleamed as he took a casual step towards her direction.
"Ya know... I never wanted to fight you guys.... Tis all Cole's idea.... I'd rather just take my leave now but I have to make sure you don't go after him or that Luna chick....." His eyes met Elliot's, "She can take her own ya know. She isn't that different from Cole in strength.... I'd be surprised if she lost..."

Elliot ignored Flint.
He twisted to his left, and aimed a kick at Flint's stomach.
He threw his blade at Flint's head like a boomerang.
Elliot knew that Flint wasn't lying, but it didn't matter.
He needed Luna because of her healing skills.
The purple potion would last only if Celest didn't overexert herself,
which was why he was ignoring her.

Flint swung to the right, Elliot's blow hitting him square in the hip.
He was happy though because this allowed him to be out of the path of his sword.
He reached out and caught it's hilt, leaping back again.
"Now who's got your weapon?" He smirked, "It'd be wiser to just go see your girlfriend..."
His smirk fell and he stared at Elliot.
"Please... Seriously... Go now! I don't feel like fighting you! I have no interest! You....Bore....Me."
His face seemed to age, strange for a vampire his age.

Elliot smiled.
The tree that the sword had been aimed at fell.
Elliot hadn't expected Flint to move so far, but it didn't matter.
He reached out and pushed the tree, so it was now falling
onto Flint. Meanwhile, Elliot flitted under and behind Flint, twisted his arm
so the sword fell out of Flint's grip.
Elliot then jumped out of the way of the tree.

Flint wasn't going to try and stop Elliot from taking his sword, he needed his hands free.
And he wasn't going to dodge the tree either, he wasn't afraid of pain.
The tree fell upon his back, his arms holding it only an inch above his head.
He groaned from the weight before giving a strong shove and rolling out of the way of the falling tree.
He sighed lightly and looked to Elliot.
"So you aren't so plain. I still don't feel much like playing."
He glanced in the direction of Cole and then to Celest.
Aurora's small movement caught his ears.
He cursed slightly.
"Stupid cat. Can't just sit like a good little kitty... Noooo, she has to go and move!" He grit his teeth and clenched his teeth.
Again he frowned at Elliot.
"Do I have to beg you on my knees to leave me be and go to your friend? I'm sure you can help her... She seems fine to me now..."

Cole glanced up at Luna, a questionable look on his face. ".....so? What's it to you? Leave my marital status out of this." He looked over at his grounded dagger again, seemingly not paying attention to Luna. "Besides....I don't need a girlfriend. In fact, I don't think I /want/ a girlfriend." He paused for a moment and looked back up at Luna. "You're single too, aren't you? So why does it matter?"

Celest had finally caught up to were Elliot and Flint were. She had sort of speed walked over there, so she wasn't too tired. She held the ice dagger behind her back a little and approached Elliot. "I feel better now. So much better, in fact, that I just want to /stab/ something." A grin spread across her face as she quickly lifted the dagger. She slashed down at Elliot's back.

Elliot yelled out in pain.
He instinctively rolled to the side and twisted.
His hand lashed out at Celest in the form of a wild fist,
and he brought up vines from weeds on the ground
that tied around Celest's ankles, keeping her still
so she would get hit.

Elliot's fist hit Celest as she struggled to loosen the vines. She cringed at the impact.
She shot ice down at the vines and froze them. She pulled her leg up and the vines shattered. She spread her wings and flew a little backwards a few feet off the ground. She put her hand out in front of her and ice shards shot down towards Elliot.

Elliot was shocked by what he'd done,
but the shards brought him back to his senses.
He threw up his arms to shield his face and took
shards to the stomach and arms.
They didn't draw blood because Elliot had very little
to spare, being vampire.
He'd already worked a strategy however,
and he jumped backwards onto a tree branch.
He kept jumping, and was soon fleeing from Celest.
However, he was going slow -compared to his standards-
and letting Celest keep in pace with him.
The purple potion would fail and make her injuries and sickness worse-
a lot worse- if she overworked herself.
If she fought for a bit more, she'd collapse,
and ultimately not be a problem.
It may sound cold, but that had been how Elliot had always been raised
by Emmet.
Logical- get rid of any problems and you should have it easy.

Celest slowly lowered herself to the ground and stared up at Elliot. Her mind was spinning in circles and all she could think of is that she wanted to attack something. Since Elliot was the closest, he was her target. She tossed her ice dagger to the ground and it melted almost immediately.
Celest stared up into the tree Elliot was in. She backed up a little bit and pushed her hands out in front of her. A large, thing sheet of ice flew towards the tree and sliced right through it. The tree then began to teeter before falling back.

Elliot was ready.
He swung around onto the trunk and began to run up
it. He got higher and once he reached what
he thought was as high as he would get,
he jumped.

Elliot landed lightly on the tree top.
It was a large pine, and that gave him an idea.

Using more of his season magic, the pine needles
turned into sharper needles and started showering down on
Celest. It wouldn't kill her, and it probably wouldn't
hurt her, but that was the point.

Elliot wanted her to move, and exhaust herself more.

Pine cones began to rain down as well,
and they exploded on the ground or in the air around
Celest, again trying to get her to move.

Elliot became steadily aware of his dropping magic level,
but he still had a ways to go until it was empty.

After 200 years, Elliot had built quite a magic meter,
as well. It would hold.

Celest brought her arm up to shield her face from the raining needles. She backed up a few paces to try to get away from them, but it didn't help very much. She put her other hand up and a layer of ice appeared, shielding herself from the needles. A few of the pine cones hit it and it started to crack. She moved back farther and it finally shattered. She then jumped back to get away.
Celest had begun to breath heavier now. Normally, she wouldn't have been tired now, but the poison was somewhat draining. But her not being in her right mind, she didn't care how tired she got. She brought both her arms in the air, her fists clenched together. She then brought them down to the ground and ice began to speed towards the tree Elliot was in. It proceeded in climbing up the tree, freezing everything it came in contact with. If it were to reach Elliot before he moved, it would freeze him too.

Flint was happy that he could rest for a while, although it wasn't needed for him. He was frustrated with Elliot not leaving him alone, he didn't sign up for a fight. He signed up for a simple 'movie'. But now that didn't matter. He was on his way to Aurora, who wasn't very far away.

Aurora was happy that she had found the potions and was wondering if Celest or Elliot would need it when she decided to pick up one of the remaining three.
She carried it gently in her arms as she headed for her friends, their voices and sounds drifting to her.
"Luna? Elliot..... Hey Celest!!" she yelled as she walked through.
Flint heard her voice and began to stalk her, it was in fact one of his main traits. He would see what was going to happen and then act upon it.

Luna smirked and shrugged.
"True... But I have someone I care about Cole..." she glanced to Cole, her eyes laughing, "And he's my opposite gender Cole. He's and interest to me. While all you have is your..." she paused to snicker, " Boyfriend"
She laughed as she leapt over Cole, doing a flip and then landing next to her staff.
She was revealed to feel its familiar warmth upon her palm.
'Hello old friend,' she thought in her mind.
Her gaze lifted to Cole, seeing what he'd do

Cole was about to argue with Luna, but he decided not to. He was learning now. Arguing wouldn't do anything for him.
He stayed in his squatting position as Luna got her staff back. "You're nothing without your staff and magic. It seems like they should have taught you how to use your fists. After all, weapons can get stolen and magic doesn't last forever." He almost looked bored now. He yawned, adding to the bored look. He stared at Luna for a moment before leaning back on his right arm, he still hadn't gotten all the feeling back in his left. He pushed himself back on his arm and his legs came off the ground. He pushed over sideways and kicked at Luna, the metal on his boot coming first.

Cole's foot hurled into Luna's Ankle, a small crack being uttered.
She didn't even flinch as she quickly moved her injured foot behind Cole's outstretched leg, her injured leg now touching the back of his boot.
She spun her hips to the side as she plunged her staff up closer to the back of his thy and brought her other leg speeding towards the front of his kneecap at surprising speed.
In truth, her leg was killing her. The pain becoming more intense with every move she made.
"you judge too much Cole!" she said through gritted teeth. "You never knew that I enjoyed the feel of a sword. the power that surged through me as I used my magic." she put emphasis on her last words as her foot/leg came closer to hitting him. "Or how I studied in martial arts for 3 years! I mean come on, it was required Cole!"

"Three years, huh? Well, we'll see." Cole quickly pulled his arm out from under him and he fell backwards, his legs coming back to avoid getting hit. He rolled over backwards, his back curling up so his feet could hit the ground. As they did, he pushed up with his arms and legs and brought his fist flying towards Luna's jaw.

Elliot stood on one hand.
He pushed off just in time, and only his arm was frozen.
Elliot landed on a wide branch and stood there.
A thump told him that Celest had indeed exhausted herself,
and had hit the ground.

He wasn't going to go down there and try and get Celest
or Flint with a frozen arm, but he was going to see what happened.

From his seat in the tree, he had a clear view of everybody.
Celest, who was slumped at the base;
Flint, who was at the forest entrance;
and Cole and Luna.

Flint hadn't been lying, Elliot realized happily.
Luna was holding up well.

However, the one thing he saw that worried him was that Flin was stalking her.

He wouldn't interfere, though.

Aurora could take care of herself for a while.

Flint sighed happily as he sat down upon a thick branch.
His smile widened as Aurora came upon Celest's passed out body.
Terror appeared in her eyes as she rushed to Celest's side, gently putting down the red potion.
"Celest... Celest are you okay?" she called, reaching for Celest's neck and taking her pulse.
A sigh of relief escaped her parted lips as she felt the steady beating of Celest's heart and the sound of her shallow breaths.
Her body seemed to slump as sat by her body.

Luna rolled her face the the side, minimizing the blow by 30%.
However, a satisfying sound of the bone was uttered as Cole's fist slammed into her.
She staggered backwards, pain searing through her leg and jaw.
She caught herself with her staff, now somewhat like a third leg, an extension of her body.
She tried to mover her jaw, cursing the fact that she'd probably end up with lock-jaw.
She lifted her hand and felt blood on her chin, it would seem that Cole's fist had torn away a few layers of skin.
"Thanks a lot..." she muttered as she moved her tongue around and spat.
She couldn't fight with a broken ankle, but her jaw would have to work..
The problem was, how was she going to heal it?
Healing takes time.... complete attention.... and obviously not someone trying to kill you.
She grew angry at herself and rushed forward, swinging her staff at his side.

Celest let out a small groan as Aurora put the red potion in her mouth. Another sign of life. Her eyes remained closed and some of her blond hair fell off her face onto the ground. Her breathing was not so rushed and heavy anymore. The poison was slowly making its way out of her system.

A satisfied grin spread across Cole's face when he felt his fist hit Luna's chin. It grew when he saw the blood.
"You're quite welcome. Can't tell you how much better I feel now." He retorted.
Her staff came at him and hit him in the side. Once it hit, he moved a little, going the direction she swung. He then reached out and grabbed hold of the staff with both hands. He then yanked it downward.

Luna was pulled forward a bit but let go and sent to fist hurling upwards at his gut.
"May this will help!" She grimaced.
She couldn't help but twitch as her ankle grew worse.

Cole, with his new weapon, brought her staff up quickly. He placed one hand on each end of it and held it longways in front of his face. He then brought it down towards Luna's arm by the elbow to keep her from punching him.

Luna smirked, you couldn't use a weapon to its full potential against the person who had used it for their whole life.
She quickly grabbed her staff and pulled hard up with a twist to his wrists, mean while her knee was coming daringly closer to Cole and to what would be the second greatest pain. If he was hit that is.

Cole let go of the staff. He didn't need it so badly that he had to keep holding on to it. Besides, he just remembered he still had that hammer in the loop of his pants.((Or rather...I just remembered in math class today...))
He noticed the movement of Luna's knee and twisted his body sideways so her knee hit him in the hip. He fell sideways a little by the force of impact.
He reached down and pulled the hammer out and spun it in his hand once. He turned his head to face Luna. There was a smirk planted on it. He swung the hammer down towards her shoulder. If he were fighting to kill, he would have aimed for the head. But he didn't want to /kill/ Luna, only injur her.

Elliot watched from above.
He was ready to step in if Flint
was to appear again.

Luna yelped a she she lept to the side, the hammer still slamming down upon her shoulder.
She used the momentum to stab her staff's sharp butt at the skin neck to Cole's neck.
She she careful to stay away from his large veins but, if this hit, it would defiantly cut a few muscles and spill some blood.
Her ankle and shoulder killed her now, both bones broken and shattered.

Aurora sighed as she sat next to Celest.
Her ears pricked up as she looked up at Elliot, her eyes dialating agianst the sun.
She pawed the earth with her open hands, her attention still upon Elliot.
'Did she attack you?' She asked him.

Flint was getting bored and decided to race over to Cole and Luna.
Getting settled into another tree, he sat and watched as Luna brought down her attack.
His eyes darted every where, looking at the current damage.

Cole pulled his head sideways to try an avoid the blow, but it was too late. The blade came down on the side of his neck and cut a large piece of skin off. He cringed as he pulled away. Blood spilled down his neck onto his chest and arm. He backed up and put his hand on the gash. Upon his had touching the wound, a great stinging sensations shot up his neck and he pulled his hand back.
He put his hammer back into it's place as he backed up farther. His own spilling of blood only caused him to want to spill more of hers. He backed up until he was standing next to the dagger that was planted in the ground. He squatted down and pulled it out, never taking his eyes off Luna. He then took a few slow steps foreword. He clenched his fist around the dagger. He stopped walking for a moment before lunging foreword, holding his dagger towards Luna's already injured shoulder.

She didn't know if it was hate, longing, or just plain lazy-ness that made her do what she did.

She smiled as the cold dagger bit into her skin and stick.
Warm, maroon blood oozed from the wound, causing her to simply look at in.
Her face was bare now, no emotion finding itself its own place.
She looked to the dagger and then to Cole's face.
She didn't know what to do, but her body did.
She struggled as her body fell forwards, what was most likely going to be her doom.
Her arms fell around his shoulders, her silver hair mixing with his blood.
She clung to him, like a wet towel clinging to dirt.
She eyes were faint as her lips parted, her soft whisper of a voice cutting through the air.
"I'm sorry Cole," She said, almost sad, "I never meant to hurt you so."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 11, 2008 3:13 pm

Cole stared at Luna. He was in shock. Out of all the things he thought she would do, this was not one of them.
"Heh.....wh....what?" His arms were at his sides and he lifted them slightly, but stopped, as if he was about to do something but changed his mind. "Wha....what...what are you doing? Let go..." He finally slowly brought one arm up and grabbed her by the wrist. He didn't do anything with it, however. He just held it there for a moment, confused and not sure what to do.

Luna's tears ran into his blood, her body shuddering.
She couldn't take it, all the nostalgia..... All the pain.... All the heart ache.
"Why......" She muttered.
Her wrist began to hurt as it rested in his grasp, it's joint tired from fighting.
"I was never meant to fight... I never wanted to... not against you Cole..."
Her breaths were growing shallow, she shudders become more frequent.
If he wanted to kill her, he could. It was now... His chance...
'Why.... Am I doing this...' She thought, her body not doing what she wished.
Her tears flowed now, not stopping for anything.
Frustration and misery were taking its hold and didn't plan on letting go anytime soon.

Her tears ran into his gash and caused it to sting. He ignored this fact, however.
However much he wanted to, he couldn't bring himself to hurt her, not like this. He gritted his teeth as he thought. 'I'm getting soft....why can't I hurt her now? This would be the best chance....but...it wouldn't be very sportsman-like...So...maybe I'm not getting soft...'
He squeezed her wrist slightly. "Why...are you doing this? Why do you care? Why don't you want to kill me? To hurt me? To make me suffer the way I made you suffer? You're...pathetic."

Luna lifted her head up to look at him, his blood on her face, mixing with her tears.

"Pathetic Cole?" Her tears ran faster now. "Or do I just love you too much to cause you pain? Cole... I...."
She faltered and her head sunk again to his chest, her forehead resting against him softly.
She shuddered once more before she couldn't stand it anymore.
She gave a whimper and actually hugged him.
It was an odd hug because he was still holding her wrist.
"God Cole.... I missed you so much!" She wept.

Cole almost stopped breathing for a moment. "L....love? Wh....why....? He couldn't come out with a single sentence without stuttering.
He let go of her wrist and pushed her away from him. "Why...are you....when....?" He looked away, off at a tree. "You're lying." He pushed some hair away from his face. Some of the blood that had dripped onto his hand got in his hair and matted it a little. "I barley even spoke to you! Then all I did was hurt you! How can you...." His voice trailed off at the end of the sentence.
He backed up underneath and tree and leaned his body against it. The loss of blood from his neck mixed with the shock of this news was causing him to loose strength.

Flint leaned forward, ready to leave.
'Perhaps this is the time to leave.' He though.

Luna fell to her knees at his push, she was pathetic looking.
'Why!' Her mind screamed. 'Stab him, hit him, yell at him! Why can't I protect myself?!'
She placed her bruised hand on her shoulder, rubbing it slightly.
"Do you really believe that? That what I say is truly a lie? Can't you let yourself feel anything Cole....."
She thought about their past.
He was wrong, yet right at the same time.
They had talked, when he was at his kinder age...
She had respected him though, and in turn, learned to care for him.
That's why she never turned him in when she caught him red handed.
And that's why it hurt so much when he left.

"Yes!" Cole shot back, anger written across his face. Maybe it wasn't /only/ anger... "Yes, I believe that you lied! No one can love me! Hell, no one can even /like/ me! I can't expect anything but scorn from people! And I wouldn't blame them! I would hate me too if I were them!" He was quoting something someone told him many times before. It was hammered so hard into his brain that he had actually began to believe it.
His breathing had gotten slightly heavier. He brought his hand up and placed it on the gash in his neck to try and stop the bleeding. He ignored the stinging and continued to stare down Luna.

((Ooh~la~la! heart Major plot twist! Never saw that coming. ))

Elliot leaped from his spot.
He landed softly on the ground.
"Yeah. I don't know why."
he answered Aurora.
Elliot extended his palm over Celest.
Vines and roots climbed over her body and dug themselves
back into the earth. She was trapped, for now.
The vines weren't uncomfortable, but she wasn't getting out quickly.

Luna looked down at the ground, her tears steadily beating a path upon her cheeks.
"Why do you tell yourself that." she glanced up at Flint who was leaning over, worry on his brow.
"I'm sure you have friends Cole... Even if you are an assassin." She said, looking back at Cole.
She grabbed her hair and played with it a bit, fatigue plaguing her.
"I respect you, ya know..... You do things I never could....." A new wave of tears flooded behind the previous.

Aurora looked to Celest and then Elliot.
"Do we have any clue at all?" she asked him. "I mean,.... Somethings out of place... Why would she just attack you.."

Elliot opened his eyes.
He'd just read Celest's mind.
"There's a blank spot, and it happens right after me giving
her a potion to make her feel better.
Maybe a reaction to the potion?"
he suggested half-heartidly.
It didn't seem right to him.
No one ever had had a reaction to Emmet's old potions.

"It doesn't make sense.....I thought all potions were carefully made not to react to others.... I thought it was a universal thing."
She rubbed her arm slightly and she stretched out her legs as she sat.

Elliot scratched the back of his head with his left hand and raised his eyebrows slightly,
looking embarrassed.
"Well.. this potion was made a long time ago.."
he admitted slowly.
"And I mean, before you were born old.
It was made by my brother.
I watched him do it.

And this potion isn't safe like normal ones,
mostly because it's homemade.
So.. yeah."

Elliot looked at Celest again, his self-esteem shrinking again
without knowing that it was the poison's fault.

'I was probably alive when it was made Elliot...' she thought to herself but she kept quite anyway.
"It could be a reaction.... but... I'm just not sure..." she paused. "In my life, I haven't seen a reaction that made someone attack another... Especially one with such a tie...."
She held the empty bottle in her hands, happy that she had found it and that it was a pure liquid... she didn't want anything else going wrong.

Cole sort of slumped against the tree. "Because it's true. And....I don't have any friends. Flint....he's different. He can understand....but I....I don't know." He looked away over at the ground away from him.
"Well....you don't know all the things I've done. You wouldn't look at me in the same light if you knew everything...." He glanced up at Luna, and then back down on the ground.

Celest tried to shift, but the vines stopped her from moving. Her eye lids fluttered a bit. She was beginning to regain consciousness, slowly. Very slowly.

"Well, I can't think of anything."
Elliot said thoughtfully.
He looked at Celest and sighed.
She was beginning to stir, which he guessed was a good thing.

She would be exhausted when she woke up,
though. It was just how the potion worked.

"Maybe it wasn't the potion or anything.
Maybe she really intended to hurt me."
he said quickly to Aurora.

Luna struggled to her feet, falling once. She cursed her ankle and spat at the ground.
"That's sad Cole." she grumbled, pain gripping her emotions now. "I'd never /not/ respect you. It doesn't matter what you've done...God Cole......" she spat once more, blood clotting in her mouth. "This sucks.... I wish you believed me....or at least understood me."
Blue strings of light started attaching to her shoulder, mending the bone and muscles. A pop was uttered as two plates came together and a shiver of pain rushed down her arm.

Aurora glared at the ground.
"I somewhat doubt that would happen... She seems so innocent... But I don't really know her.... if anyone, it'd be you, who knew her the best.... I guess its what you think... But.... I still don't think she would do that willingly..."

Elliot just shook his head.
"People change."

He walked away and sat at the base of a tree facing Celest.
Elliot's thoughts turned to how true that statement was.
After the 'incident', Emmet had become a loner.
He used to be so nice, so sociable, so likable.
A people person.

Same thing happened to Elliot.
Elliot sighed. Life was a mess.

Aurora sighed once more and stood, walking over to a tree and scaling its height in a blink.
She plopped down on a branch and watched over Elliot and Celest.....
'This is just messed up,' she thought, 'I can't believe this happened.... '

Cole sighed, almost sadly. "I'm sorry, Luna, but I don't think I am what you think I am. You don't know me that well....and...then again...no one does. Not even Flint knows everything about me, nor would I want him to."
He glanced over at the base of a nearby tree. He noticed his dagger sticking in the ground a ways away. He pushed himself off the tree he was leaning against and had to catch himself before he fell. He walked over to his dagger and picked it up. He attached it back onto his belt and stared at the ground. His face grew slightly serious and he looked up at Luna. "Why am I telling you this? Why do you care? Why do /I/ care? Uuuhh...well....I guess I'll be seeing you later then...maybe." He then turned and started walking back towards the Assassin's Bureau. His entire shoulder was crimson and he needed to wash it off. He also needed to tend to his wound. He wasn't sure if he felt sad for leaving Luna, but he wouldn't let it show even if he did.

Elliot just nodded.
His arm had only just started to thaw,
and Celest was in restraints.

"What a perfect situation. Celest is in restraints for attacking me,
and we don't even know if Luna is alright. "

Celest's eyes fluttered and then opened. She blinked them a few times to clear her sight. She tried to sit up and found that she couldn't. She turned her head and saw the vines over her.
"Wha....what happened?" She thought back and found that she couldn't remember anything just after she drank Emmet's potion. She thought harder and couldn't come up with anything.

Flint bounded off ,towards the Assassins' Bureau, from tree to tree, pausing just behind Aurora.
He froze for a moment, his mind winding, before a smile appeared and her snuck up behind Aurora.
He straighten his two fingers and jabbed her quickly in her neck.
Her eyes fluttered before her body slumping and falling into his out-stretched arm.
He lifted her small body onto his back and ran out of the edge of the forest and into the plains, heading away from the group very quickly.

Sadness and longing filled her face as she tried to step forward, her arm reaching for Cole as he left.
"C-cole,.." she paused to cough, "W-wait..." She stumbled forward as she tried to move without her staff.
"Don't go," the last part of the sentence came out almost as a hoarse whisper, "not again....."

Cole stopped walking and turned his head part way. His hair hung in his eyes as he spoke. "I......I'm sorry. I got more than I bargained for here. I have to go back. I have a commitment. I have nothing to give you....not now" It was obvious that something was heavy on his mind. He turned his head back forward and began walking again. He walked slowly, all his energy drained out of him. He stayed in the forest to avoid the rest of the group. He had lost the will to fight by now.

Tears began to flow once more as she watched him leave.
She wouldn't fallow him, it wasn't her nature to do so.
Instead, she turned and headed back to where she remembered the group being last.
She hobbled along, using her staff to walk with her broken ankle.
Her should was still broken for the most part, although the smaller pieces were now connected to three larger pieces.
Her shattered ankle dragged upon the ground as she came up to Elliot and Celest.
Her face sprang into happiness and then twisted into confusion as she saw Celest strapped to the ground.

Cole turned for one last glance before he was out of sight. He then quickened his pace slightly.
He pulled his hand away from his neck. His gloves was almost sopping with blood by now. The blood flow had stopped now, however, so he'd just have to bear with it until he got back to the bureau.

((Now on page 17 in the Bureau and 192? in the Field.))

Assassins' Bureau

Cole trudged into the bureau through the entrance. His head was hung as his feet shuffled against the floor of the check in building. One of the guards stepped forward to stop him before realizing who it was.
Cole lifted his head as he came through the door. He looked over at the lake and turned towards it. He came to the edge of the lake and knelt down next to the waters' edge. He put his bloodied hand into the water and squeezed his glove a few times. The water around his hand turned red and he pulled his hand out. Water dripped from his hand as he pulled his wet glove off. He placed it on his shoulder and began to wipe it back and forth, cleaning the blood off.
It took a while, but he finally got most of the blood off. He stood back up and headed back towards his and Flint's house.

Flint trudged through the Bureau's entrance and his pace slowed as he reached his house and entered the building.
He walked into their house and dumped Aurora onto his bed, her breaths shallow.
He glanced at Cole, who had gotten there before him, and walked over to him.
"You.../somewhat/ okay?" he asked, his voice a whisper.

Cole glanced up at Flint with a sort of 'shut up' look on his face. He walked over to one of the cabinets and opened it. He pulled out a roll of cloth and unrolled a bit of it. He wound it around his neck and then around his shoulder to get the entire gash under the bandage. When it was all the way around he tucked one end of it under another end so it stayed.
He made his way to their room and stopped in the doorway, staring at Aurora. "What's /she/ doing here?" There was little to no emotion in his voice. He was obviously drained.

Flint paused and twitled his fingers.
Fake surprise showed upon his face.
"OH that thing?"
He paused again and laughed.
"Look what I found on the way here~! Isn't it cute Cole~!"
He did a little Vana White a smile his face.
"Oh Cole," He clasped his hands together and begged, "Can we keep it~! I promise not to let it die like last time....." We don't want another Morbid Kitty...." His face fell straight as he thought about it.

Cole stared blankly at Flint for a moment before waving his hand. "Ahhh, do whatever you want. Just don't let it get into my stuff. And /I'm/ not going to be responsible for it. So if you forget to feed it, it's not my fault."
He stepped away from the door and passed Flint. "If anyone needs me, I'll be on the roof." He continued to walk then stopped in the doorway going outside. "You know what, scratch that. If anyone needs me, tell them to go away."
He then turned and walked around to the side of their little house. He stared up at the roof. He jumped up and grabbed hold of the edge with one hand. He let his injured arm dangle loosely at his side. He slowly pulled himself up until he could reach his feet over the edge. He stood up and looked around him. The hole they had patched was just in front of him. He walked around it somewhere around the middle and sat down. He bent his knees up and rested his arms on them as he stared off into the distance.

Cole's eyes were part way shut and his neck was bent forward as he thought to himself. '.....she couldn't have been lying. If I know Luna at all, she wouldn't lie about something like that...unless she was joking. But...she was crying...so.......Uhhh, I don't understand. What is there about me for anyone to like? She said she respects me....but for what? I've been able to do things she couldn't....but I've also been /forced/ to do things....and...some things I'm not proud of...'
His entire body seemed to wince almost. He knees drew back and his feet came closer. He drew his arms tighter around his legs and rested his chin on his knee caps. 'I showed my softer side to her....Why? I talked without thinking....I told her I wasn't proud of some things I've done....I haven’t even told Flint that....She's made me question things I've come to believe over the years....She's made me question /him/. What /he's/ said to me...'
As he closed his eyes, a scene began to play out in his mind. A scene he hadn't thought of in a long time. It was something he had tried to forget...

A much younger Cole, only eleven at the time, was standing at the mouth of a cave. His ears were not yet pierced and his hair was quite a bit shorter. He looked very innocent standing there. He was confused and slightly afraid. He took a step forward into the cave, then stopped. He took a few more steps, running his hand along the wall as he went. In the back of a cave, a man sat on a large boulder. As Cole came closer the man smiled for an instant, then it was gone. He stood up and Cole stopped. "You know why I called you here?" he asked. When Cole didn't respond, a twisted grin appeared on the man's face. "....You don't do you? You're pathetic. Let me tell you something about yourself. Your's is a worthless existence. You're as pathetic as they come. You have no value, to /anyone/. Not even your parents. Why do you think they sent you away to that school? It was to get /rid/ of you. No one could possibly like you. All you can expect is scorn. Scorn from everyone. And who can blame them? You /deserve/ to be hated. You /deserve/ every hateful word, every blow you receive. You /deserve/ to /die/."
By now, the boy was blinking back tears. Never before had he been treated so harshly. Never before did he feel so beat down, especially by an adult.
The man, seeing his pain, smiled. He took a step closer to Cole and swung his arm out. The force of the blow was so strong that Cole was sent flying backwards onto the ground. He lay on his side for a moment before trying to push himself back up, only to be pushed down again with even more force. His head smacked against the rocks of the floor and blood poured out of his forehead. His cheek was scuffed and dirty. He closed his eyes as he tried to push himself up again. The man let him this time. Once Cole was on his feet, he looked back up at the man with more tears in his eyes and dirt on his cheeks. The man grabbed Cole by the collar of his shirt and lifted him clear off the ground. He lifted him so that their eyes were level with each other. Cole grabbed at his collar and struggled to get free. He was then thrown all the way to the entrance of the cave. More blood began to drip from his small body and a loud 'crack came' from his leg that was grotesquely twisted.
"Now go. Go back to your school. Go back to your so called 'friends'. Come back here the same time tomorrow. I must warn you though...If you ever do not show, I will find you, and you will think that what you're feeling now is as minor as a small scratch."
The boy finally found the strength to push himself up off the ground and limped as fast as he could back to his school. At school, everyone asked him what had happened. Why he was hurt. He ignored all of them.
He returned every day after that. The experience was never something he looked forward to. He would come to school some days with blood still dripping on his arms and legs. Sometime his face as well. After a while, he started skipping classes. After a few months, he stopped going all together.

Cole's head was now hung down so his forehead rested on his knees. Without realizing it, he had fallen asleep.

Flint winced as he watched Cole walk away.
He sighed, knowing it wasn't his place to dig at.

He turned and walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a unique set of arm chains connected to a throat chain.
Reaching back into the cabinet, he pulled out a small bottle of liquid and dripped it onto the metal.
It glowed slightly before returning back to normal.
"That should take care of her transformations." he muttered softly as he picked up the metal and walked over to his bed where Aurora was lying.
He lifted her with odd gentleness and sealed the "collar" around her neck and then around her wrists.
He took a long chain that hung from the back of the "collar" and clipped it onto a small rig that hung from the wall.
Satisfied, he walked out of their house and headed for their secret place, quietly slipping in and locking the gate behind him.

Hyrule Field

Elliot looked at her.
"Ouch. You look bad."
he remarked.
"I'm sorry I can't do anything."
Sensing something awry, he looked around.
"Where the hell is Aurora?"

Luna was about to shrug but she quickly remembered her shoulder.
"I'll be fine......." She paused and looked around, worry rising in her chest.
"I-I don't know....Aurora!" She called aloud but the only reply she found was the call of the forest.
Tears weld in her eyes as she looked around.
"Not another..." she whispered.
She forced herself not to be frantic.
'I can't go look for her, not until I and my group are healed....' She desperately fought to tell herself.

Celest struggled to see what was going on. "Ummmm, excuse me...but is there a reason I'm in these? I can't seem to remember anything...." Worry began to well up in her as she thought about what was going on. She couldn't remember what had happened and now she found herself restrained. "Did....did I do something?"
She heard Luna calling for Aurora and more worry pilled up. "Aurora...is she...missing? What's going on?"

Elliot ignored Luna.
Not the time for tears of pity.
"You can't remember anything?"
Elliot said harshly. His eyes narrowed.
"How about I refresh it for you?
After I gave you a potion, you stabbed me in the back,
and then proceeded to freeze my arm" -he lifted his heavy solid iced arm- "And thankfully the potion made you collapse because you overexerted yourself. So. Why?"

This was all a test: Elliot was scanning Celest's mind
and was going to see if she was lying or not.

It all came down on the next sentence.

Celest's eyes widened as Elliot spoke. "Wh...what? I did...? I'm soo sorry, Elliot! Ohhh, I'm sorry." Her head fell backward onto the ground and she stared up at the sky. As her head hit the ground, a slight pain ran up her neck from were the corn holder had struck. She shut her eyes until the pain eased, which was fast, since the wound was very small and miner.
Her next words were spoken very softly, almost a whisper. "I'm sorry. I don't know why...this always happens to me."

The vines split up into shreds.
Elliot smiled.
The test had been aced.

"Alright, I believe you." he said quietly.
He offered a hand up.
"Now we need to find Aurora and get her back.
Any ideas to where they're headed?"

Celest smiled shyly as she took Elliot's hand. "Thanks." She still felt bad about attacking him, but at least he was alright.
She stood up and looked around the vast field. There seemed to be no signs of them anywhere. "I don't know. Where would they go? I couldn't think of anyplace in particular. Aurora, I think, first noticed Flint in the Gerudo Valley. And then...we first ran in with Cole in the Border...." She sighed as she couldn't think of anything. She turned and looked at Luna. "Are you okay? What happened with you? I remember Cole pulled you off....but..."

Elliot frowned.
"Actually, first thing we need to do is get you proper medical attention.
We should go to the city. They could fix your shoulder and ankle." he suggested to Luna.
"Besides, we might get a lead on Cole and Flint there.
So much information travels through there;
someone probably saw a werecat on a vampire's back.
Unless, of course, you don't want to..."

He quieted down a bit.

"We could go to town anyway," she muttered, feeling a bit tired and down from all this drama. "But don't go just for me, I can heal myself."
Her hand was already placed upon her shoulder and healing it the rest of the way, next was going to be her ankle.
"By the way," she looked up solemnly, "Do you need any healing? I can offer my assistance."

Elliot nodded.
"How do you feel about it, Celest?"
he asked worriedly.
"Oh, and Luna, Celest kind of froze my arm if you haven't noticed." He attempted to move his arm, but it didn't budge.
"Do you think you could thaw it?"

Luna paused and looked at his arm oddly, thinking.
"I know basic spark magic.... but nothing that could melt ice magic like that... Not unless it was my own body... And since your a vampire... I don't think it would work..."
She thought hard, did vampires have cold blood?
Or was it simply black ink that warmed their pale bodies.
Would the speeding up of body react more heat, or would it all be in vain?
"Perhaps the best way is simply to melt it by campfire and then heal whatever damage is evident."

Elliot nodded.
"Maybe, but that'd take to long."
he said. A vine began to grow from the ground and wrap around his frozen arm.

Dry leaves began to sprout from it.
"Sparks, please. And don't worry about hurting me.
I'll make sure it's stopped before I burn myself to death."
He smiled warmly and reassuringly to erase any doubt.

Celest blushed a little at the mention of her freezing Elliot's arm. "I'm...sorry about...that...." She said a little quietly. "I would offer my help but...I don't know any other magic besides ice. And I don't think that would help much...."

Assassins' Bureau

Sounds of crickets chirped from the woods next to the house. Cole's eyes slowly opened and he found himself staring at the roof of his house.
'Uhhh, why am I so cold?' He thought to himself as he lifted his head up. He looked around and saw that it was now dark. A large moon had risen just over the tree tops. He blinked a few times to try to remember what he was doing up there.
'Oh.....yeah. I guess I fell asleep. Ah well. I guess I should go in.' He stood up and shivered once before stepping over to the edge of the roof. He jumped off the edge and walked to the door. He turned the door knob to find it locked. He backed up and reached into his pocket. He pulled out his key and unlocked the door. He walked inside and shut the door behind him.

Auroa began to stir as the sound of an opening door reached her cat-ears.
"Mmmmrmmm,...Wha-?" She muttered as she tried to pull herself up.
Her arms reached out but stopped as the chains pulled tight.
Her eyes flew open as she shook the chains in horror.
"What the-!! Ah.... Grrhhh, Get off!" She spat, cursing as the metal pulled down on her neck and wrists.
Her ears twitched as she heard Cole, fear striking her heart.
'Where am I? Who is that! Oh God, help me!' her mind screamed.
A brilliant idea came to mind.
'I know... I'll just transform and slip out.' A smirk appeared as she closed her eyes and thought as she normally did.
Nothing.
She paused for a moment before trying again.
Nothing.
Tears welled as she tried once more.
Again, nothing.
"Why!!!??" She yelled, catching her breath.

Cole stood in the middle of the room for a moment. He heard Aurora yell and he stared, puzzled, down the hallway. His face lightened suddenly. "Aahhhh...so the cat's awake..."
He walked casually down to the open door to the bedroom. He stopped and stood in the doorway. He leaned up against the side and a smirk spread across his face. "Wellll, looks like you've finally waken up. Did the kitty have a nice nap?" He pushed himself up and came closer to her. "Awww, what's the matter? You don't like being chained up?" He was enjoying himself taunting her.

Aurora froze, her eyes wide with fear.
She turned to face him and leapt back, pulling her wall chain tight.
She gripped her hands tight to her chest and glared at him.
"I don't enjoy being patronized," she spat.
'Not like I don't have some dirt on you though,' she thought to herself.
She paused to shake her chains, but then returned her attention back to Cole.
She glanced at his large bandage and smiled.
"Looks like Luna took a number on you. You poor thing." She teased.
She wasn't being very bright right now, not in her situation.

Cole's face didn't really change as he stared at her. "I know, it looks cool, doesn't it? Personally, I could take the pain, I just like the look the bandage adds."
He came even closer and squatted down in front of her. He drummed his fingers on the bed and he looked down at the bite mark on his arm. "If I'm not mistaken, you're the little cat who bit me, correct? I would return the favor, but that's what Flint does. I don't know what he'd say if he came back and his little pet had bite marks. Not to mention what he'd think."

Fear gripped her heart.
"That's....disturbing..." She muttered, her clenched hands at her neck.
Sweat piled upon her face.
"Heh... Oh was that me? Yheaaa.... About that..." She looked away and tried to find the best exit, the best way to get out of these chains and leave.
"I was thinking... I meant to apologize..."
She paused and swept her foot out and aimed for her head, the rest of her body scrambling to the end of the bed, her midn hoping the momentum would be enough to pull the chain from the wall.

"Woah there. I don't think running is gonna help you any." Cole smirked as he stood up. He casually walked over to another part of the bed. He kept his eye on Aurora to see when her small body would get pulled back by the chain. He had no doubt in his mind that Flint's chains would hold. Flint had a sort of knack for keeping things in tact and they usually weren’t easily broken.

Aurora gasped as her body stopped still.
The air spilled from her lips and her eyes grew large.
"No..." she hissed as the air escaped.
The chain pulled her back sharply and she fell to the bed on her back.
Her fingers struggled to pull off the chain, which seemed to be suffocating her.
She clenched her teeth as her back arched and she tried to pull herself up, but no energy was there to do so.
Her mind said to scream for help, her heart denying.
She was stuck, perhaps forever.
She cursed at herself.
'Stupid!' her mind screamed.

Cole burst into laughter and he turned his back to Aurora. He pulled his hand up to his mouth to try to quiet himself, but his shoulders shook still. "Heh...heh...you...you don't know...heh, how funny...that was...."
He finally turned back to face her, his face a little red. He was still laughing a little. "Ahh, well...now that you've succeeded in hurting yourself...what do you plan now?" He walked up closer to her and lifted his hand up in front of her head. He slowly curled all his fingers back until he got to his pointer finger. He pushed his hand forward and poked her in the forehead.

Aurora was starting to catch her breath when Cole poked her.
She winced slightly as his finger jabbed into her forehead.
'Now!,' her head screamed.
She opened her mouth slightly and went to bite down heavily on Cole's finger.

Cole stared at his bitten finger for a moment. His face twisted a little, not so much in pain as in annoyance.
"No! Bad kitty! Let....go!" He pulled his finger back a little, but that did no good. He let out a sigh of frustration and then smirked a little. "You're not very bright, are you?" He balled his free hand up into a fist at his side. He then lifted it up to just in front of her head and let it fly.

Aurora glared at him, biting down harder.
'I can take anything you dolt.... Since I can't die...' She thought in her mind.
She winced a bit, her jaws clenching, as Cole's fist hammered into her cheek.
She yanked backward, prying her teeth from Cole's finger.
"You know you aren't supposed to hit women." she muttered, rubbing her face.

Cole stared at the red circle around his finger lined with bight marks. A drop of blood dripped from it. He looked back up at Aurora, slight amusement on his face.
"Oh? You're a women? My bad." He grinned as he went and leaned up against the wall. He wiped the blood off his finer with his other hand. "I wonder what Flint plans to do with you? I wasn't expecting another pet, especially since the last one turned out so badly....Poor morbid kitty..."

Aurora grumbled slightly.
"And who might 'Morbid Kitty' be?" she asked.
She struggled with her chains as bit before sighing greatly.
She adjusted her legs slightly before looking at Cole.
"And yes... I'm much older than you. Many people make the same mistake."

"Whatever you say..." Cole muttered to himself. He glanced out the window, beginning to grow bored with Aurora.
"Morbid Kitty...is none of your business. If you ask nicely, Flint might tell you. But I'm not in the mood." The moonlight streamed in from the window and crickets were heard outside. He walked over to the window and glanced out at the moon. "How late is it? I wonder how long I slept...."

Hyrule Field

"Meh. No worries. If Luna can muster up a few sparks, we'll be fine."
he said, smiling the same smile at Celest.

Luna shrugged, not really worried at this point.
She walked forward and sighed as her hands began to warm.
A burning sensation filled her fingers and became intense at their tips.
She her eyes twitched as the burning became a constant pain and a spark of flame lept from her tips and ignited upon the leaves.
She pulled back, holding her hand gently.
"Lets see how much that'll work." She muttered.

At first nothing happened, but soon a smoke began to rise from the vines.
The vines ignited, and then stayed for a few minutes.
A slight tingling sensation indicated to Elliot that it was working.
Water began dripping, and Elliot knew it had worked.
He excused him self briefly, and set off.
He began to run as fast as he could, nothing but a blur.
He swung around a tree and headed back to the others.
He dug his heels into the ground and abruptly stopped.
The force of the two winds put the fire out, and Elliot smiled.
"You might say that was impossible if we were in any other situation and I was any other person."

"Impossible things seem to happen very often around here."
Luna yawned and looked behind herself and then back at Elliot.
"Its kinda logical if you think about it."
She bent down adn started healing her ankle, it had started to bruise already.

Elliot nodded.
He waited patiently for Luna to be done.

Celest's eyes wandered about the field for a moment before falling back on Luna. "Hey....what happened to you? I remember...I think, Cole grabbed you? Is that why you're hurt? What did he want, anyway? Did he tell you? Oh, sorry if I'm prying..." She put her hand on the back of her head and smiled a little.

Luna went to speak but found that she couldn't form words.
She stood up straight and looked out at the field.
"I don't know why he came... But...WE got something said."
Her mind traveled.
"Something I think needed to be said a long time ago..."

Elliot, out of courtesy, tuned his mind out of Luna's thoughts.
"Shall we?"
he asked.

Assassins' Bureau

Aurora glanced at the moon then back at Cole.
"ITs about 3 AM....." She looked away.
Her heart swelled, she didn't want to be here.
'I'm probably making things worse for everyone.... I hope they aren't worrying about me..' She thought.
She scanned the room once more.
Was there anywhere to go? No.
None.
She was stuck.
A whimper tried to claw its way out, but she choked it down.
'I can't keep being this way,' she scolded herself.

”Three eh? Ahh, I won't be needing sleep for a while then...." Cole smirked, but it was a little half-hearted. His mind was elsewhere. It shifted back to the forest in Hyrule Field. Where he and Luna had fought. He couldn't help but question Luna's motives. She had never shown much affection towards him before and then suddenly, this.
He pushed the thoughts from his mind and turned back towards Aurora. "Ehhh, where's Flint? He should know you're awake now....I don't want to babysit you..."

Aurora shrugged and stuck out her tongue.
"Why? Your the one who needs babysitting..."
She glared at him with a smile.
"Besides... I don't want that vampire anywhere near me..."
She thought about her dagger and absent mindedly patted her side.
She was happy to find that it was still there.
but the shackles wouldn't allow her to use it.

Flint... Is...Erm... Gardening...

Cole pushed himself away from the window and began pacing beside the bed. "Ehh, well, Flint's the whole reason why you're here. Without Flint, you'd still be with those...other...people. I think you should thank Flint." He had a sort of twisted smile on his face as he spoke.
"And as for babysitting, I haven't had a baby sitter in years. I wouldn't let them tell me what to do. Besides, my parents wouldn't trust anyone else with me. Heh, who could blame them?" In fact, Cole's parents didn't trust baby sitters with him, but it was for a whole different reason then he was implying.

Aurora stood and yelled at Cole.
"Thank him!" she spat. "WHY? I don't WANT to be here! I'd rather be with that other Vampire jerk!"
She pulled at the chain once more and was happy to see it pull out an inch.
Perhaps one more pull and she'd be free.

Cole backed up one step and crossed his arms. "Ohoho! What have we here? Some anger against Flint? Well, what could have possibly caused that? What could Flint have done to /you/?"
He backed up a few more steps until he came to his bed. He sat down on it and leaned over. He placed his elbow on his knee and rested his chin on his hand. He had a fake-serious look on is face. "Well then, what could have stirred this sudden outburst? Let's go back. There must be something that has triggered it now? What was it?"

She glared at him and made another tug, the chain coming out further.
"Why do you want to know... Scratch that. You don't."
She smiled as she tugged once more and the end came out of the thick wall.
Her face lit up as she leapt off the bed.
"See ya loser!" She called.

Cole stared at Aurora as she ran by. '....I should probably follow her....Flint wouldn't want her to escape but....I don't want to. Nyah, stupid.... He stood up and walked to the door. He was obviously in no hurry. Aurora would probably get lost in the forest, or, better yet, get lost in the bureau. He knew his way around quite well and didn't think it would be too hard to find her. He walked out to the main room and looked around for any sign of Flint. He then walked out of the door to outside. A breeze came and prickled at his skin. He ignored it as he scanned the area.

Aurora smirked as she ran out of the building, happy to be outside.
Fell down quickly as she ran into a cloaked figure.
She struggled to get up and rubbed her head.
"Sorry sir I-"
She gasped as a soft hand gripped the back of her shirt roughly.
A dagger was at her back, already greedily digging into her skin.
she uttered a sharp cry.
Flint looked down at Aurora and the lose chain behind her.
"I'm happy that it held for so long.... I haven't been able to make new shackles. I'm honestly surprised," he said with a plain face. "You should be passed out by now, that potion I used was really old. I wouldn't be surprised if it killed you.. But alas. You live. I guess that's good for me."
He released the dagger that stuck in her back and turned back to their building.
He looked to Cole and smile.
"Sorry if I caused you any trouble. She'll be less of a hassle soon."
Aurora cringed.
'No!' Her mind cried.
'Why /him/.' she thought as she tried from pain and stress.

Cole shrugged and leaned against he door frame. "Ehhh, whatever. She at least entertained me for a bit."
He stared off to the side with an almost bored expression on his face. "So you expected her to brake them, huh? What would you have done if she had gotten loose earlier? When I was still asleep? Speaking of sleep..." He let out a loud yawn. "...why am I still tired? I just slept....ehh, this is why I don't like sleeping..." He turned around and walked back into the house, his feet dragging on the ground as he walked.

Flint didn't feel like explaining agian the fact that he was a vampire.
Superior hearing, out-of-this-world sight, and of coarse... He can run faster than most beings alive.
He chuckled in his mind.
'I've only found one person who matched my speed.'
He lifted up Aurora at looked her in the face, his glare scaring her.
She squirmed in his grasp.
HE turned and walked briskly into their home, Aurora in his iron grip.
Walking through their multiple rooms, he came upon a small cabinet.
He smiled as he bent down and opened the doors, grabbing a slightly glowing potion in a small vile.
It was warm in his hands as he threw her onto the table and opened the vile.
Aurora turned to run away but he quickly grabbed her by the hair.
He quickly put a drop on her neck, the skin sizzling against the potion.
The red liquid burned into her skin as she screamed.
Her yell filled the AB, reverberating off the walls and trees.

Cole cringed as Aurora screams rang in his ears. He covered his ears with his hands and let himself fall against the wall. He shoved his hands against his head and waited in agony for her to stop.
When she finally did, his hands slipped off his ears and one fell against the wall. He turned around to face Flint with an angry look on his face. "Why....must you make her scream...in the house...when I'm in the same room?!?" His eye twitched as he stared at Flint.

Flint smiled an evil grin, one he hadn't allowed to show for 30 years.
Aurora was in a pant, sweat streaming from her face which was twisted in agony.
fur was bristling and covering her body as her cat form emerged adn took over.
"Now we won't have anymore problems...At least.. Not for a while." Hissed Flint.

Cole stared at the two for a moment, a little unnerved by Flint. His hand slipped from the wall and fell to his side. Other than the movement of his arm, he stood still. His eyes moved from Aurora to Flint, back to Aurora.
His fingers twitched slightly and he began to take a step, but stopped. This was a confusing day.
"So.....what are you planning on doing with her now?" His tone was serious now, and he spoke softly. "You planning on keeping her here forever?"

Hyrule Field

Celest was curious as to what Luna had meant, but she didn't want to pry.
She nodded at Elliot and then turned towards Luna. "Is your ankle okay now? Can you walk alright? Because, if you can't, we can help you."

Luna smiled gently.
"Don't worry. I'm fine" She said as she stepped froward.
She glanced at her staff and took a few moments before realizing it was still sharp and pointed.
She fell into curiosity as she pulled the staff closer to her, the warm metal being spun on her soft hands.
'How does it do this? And... How can I return it to normal?'
She thought hard.
'Perhaps if I do what I did before.'
She closed her eyes and thought, no, wished hard... Just like before.
'Bend to my will!' Screamed a voice inside her.
She metal heated and melted, the prongs became their usually small point and the large gem found its place hanging at the top once more.

Elliot looked at the staff.
Not seeing anything to unusual, he began to walk across the field.

They came to the gate of the city rather quickly.
even though it was dark, the drawbridge was still down and ready for people to cross.
Elliot thought his a little odd, but didn't take any notice of it.

"Okay then." Celest said as she turned towards Elliot. She followed along behind him until they reached the gate. Her gaze fell upon the moon that was already quite high. She hadn't realized how late it had gotten. She turned her head to make sure Luna was following them.

Luna started to walk, her eyes to the ground and then the sky.
she looked up to see Celest and Elliot far ahead of her.
She grimaced as she ran to them, the faints lights of the city finding her.
"How odd.." she said to herself. "This I'd be right back where I started."
She brushed it off,. convincing herself it wasn't as odd as she thought.
"I guess we enter then..." She muttered.

Assassins' Bureau

Flint's smile fell and he glared at the floor and then Aurora.
"I don't know.... My past.... Its important.."
He squeezed his arm as his blood burned, one of the side-effects that this werecat caused.
"I need to know what she is to me Cole. There is something about her that calls me... Like we've met before.. Its very odd. My blood has only burned like this a long time ago... So very long ago.. "
He brushed his hair out of his face and smiled, gently this time.
"I don't really know Cole... I-its a mystery to me."
Flint hated himself.
He totally hated the fact that he could be weak around Cole.
His feels could show, even if he didn't want them to.
He was confused and irritated.

Cole's eyes fell to the floor and he nodded. "Okay...." His voice trailed off as he spoke. It seemed they both had things they forgot about in their past. Cole didn't want to remember his, though. Every now and then it came burning back on him and he did his best to push it away.
He finally looked up from the ground at Flint again. "I hope...whatever it is you're looking for....you find. I'm going...to go outside." He moved himself away from wall and walked past Flint. He walked to the door and walked into the cool night air. The breeze stirred as he walked outside. The cold air prickled at his skin, but he continued to walk.

Flint faintly looked at Cole.
His attention was still upon him as he heated the metal and formed it to Aurora's new body.
the hot metal burned his skin, the flesh sizzling.
Her stared blankly as it healed once he was done.
He picked her up by her fur and placed her on the ground, tapping the chain into a new part of their wall.
He turned and left once more, heading out to the lake.

Cole lingered just outside the house for a moment before moving on. He didn't know why he had gone outside, he just felt like he should. He wandered around the Bureau, not really caring were he ended up. The cold, night air had ceased to bother him now he was used to it.
He stopped near the edge of the small patch of woods in the center of the Bureau. He stood there and stared up at the tree's leaves. A light breeze caused some the them to flutter around and one fell right next to Cole's feet. He took a step towards the woods and continued to walk. He didn't walk very far before he stopped again. He came to one tree that was quite tall. It's closest branch to the ground was quite a ways from his head. He stared up at it and shrugged. He put a hand on either side of it and began to climb.

Flint sighed with pain as he sat down at the waters edge.
His hand slipped through his hair, his nails biting into the skin.
He cringed slightly as black blood began to flow.
His hand fell to his lap, blood oozing on his finger tips.
His thoughts were astray and he needed to get it fixed.
He thought for a moment.
"Perhaps there is a calling for my services somewhere..." He muttered.

Cole pulled himself up the tree. His hands gripped the trunk while his feet pushed himself up. His shoulder ached, but he pushed it away. He had had much worse pain before.
He finally came to the first branch and he let go of the trunk with his arms. He grabbed the branch and pulled himself up onto it. He sat there for a moment, staring down at the ground. He then looked up to the next branch. He stood and put his hand on the base of the tree again to steady himself. He jumped off the branch and grabbed hold of the next.
He continued to scale the tree until he finally made it to somewhere near the top. He could see over most of the trees from there and he sat down on the branch he was on. He stared down at the tree tops. The Bureau was well placed. Even from above the trees, he couldn't tell that there was anything there. He could make out part of a roof in one area, but that was only because he knew what to look for. To anyone else, it would just look like forest.

"#%**!!," Cursed Flint.
Blood oozed down his face and ran into his eye.
He blinked out the pain but the black ink refused to leave.
A rubbed his eye gently, finally riding himself of the liquid, and stood.
He walked over to the gardens to his lot. He smiled slightly as he saw a red apple among the unripened green.
Sadness filled his heart as he reached up and took in in his hands.
Taking the apple, he turned and walked back to the bunkers and his home.
'Home... Why do I have one?' He thought to himself.
He quickly reached his room, walking swiftly to the door and entering with a key.
He spotted Aurora, her body still resting upon the hard table.
His face was pained as he placed the apple gently next to her, and then he left once again.

Cole stared up at the stars. His eyes wandered from one to another and then finally landed on the moon. It was large and shone brightly. He blinked a few times and slumped a little. His mind wandered. However much he wanted to, he couldn't keep it from slipping back to what Luna had said to him earlier. He wanted to keep his mind off this topic. He didn't want to face what he knew he would have to deal with eventually. He tried to push the thought away, but it kept coming back. His face twisted to anger and he slammed his fist against the branch he was sitting on.
"I don't....I don't want to do this...."

"Careful," Said Flint as he walked past the tree Cole was in.
"Don't break it.. I won't be able to heal you if you fall and break your leg."
He paused and looked up at him and then the sky.
"The moon......" He paused once more. "Try not to dwell on it okay? It won't help."

Cole glared down at Flint, jokingly. "Hey, you need to shut up. And who said I was dwelling on the moon?"
He pushed himself up from his spot and slid off the branch onto the next. He made his way down the tree and finally came to the point were he could jump. He landed in front of Flint and then straightened himself.
"You don't seem like you're in a great mood either."

Flint looked to the sky, his face hard.
'Show No Emotion! .... Kill Them All.... They're Worthless!'
His mind ran with memories, but his skin had thickened over time.
"I'm not a good person Cole... that's all.... I'm no good.. I'm as Foul as our enemies... "
He sighed and shrugged.
"We need to go." He said simply.
"We need to get whatever is on our minds out and have some good ol' fun."
A smile had crept upon his face

'And who, exactly, is our enemies? Everyone....or no one. Whoever opposes us, which are most people.' Cole's mind wandered. He quickly brought himself back to what Flint was saying.
"Fun, eh? It seems like ages since we've had any fun. Well....I suppose...in reality, it's only been a few days. Heh, well....what do you propose we do?"

Flint tapped him gently in his shoulder.
"Lets go, I saw a flier for a person out a while ago and caught it. the bounty was pretty large which means a somewhat good fight."
He lifted up a flier, and held it infront of him.
"What do you say?" he asked as he wagged the paper infront of him.

Hyrule Castle Town

Elliot walked right into the nearest shop.
He just didn't really feel like walking.
The shop was a simple one, it looked like it would serve various meats and
limited fruits and vegetables.

There was a bar that had a few local vagrants,
but nothing special was going on.
Elliot sat down at a table and waited for Celest and Luna.
"If anyone asks, I'm a cousin of you two.
Alright?"

Celest quickly followed along behind Elliot. She lingered in the doorway for a moment before walking in. Her eyes drifted around the shop to take in everything there.
She walked to the table Elliot was at and pulled out a chair next to him. She had been holding the sleeves of Luna's robes in her hands, but she now let them go. They fell over her hands and covered them almost completely.
Celest looked over at Elliot. "Okay...but, why?"

"Gee, I dunno, because your head is wanted by both Sheikah and Hylian?"
Elliot hissed.
He didn't want to be mean,
but he didn't feel like dying right then, either.

Celest stared blankly for a moment before looking away. She stared down at the table and put her hands in her lap. "I'm sorry. I don't know why I seem to be so much trouble....Mabye I should keep my hood up..." She reached her hands around to the back of her neck and pulled her hair together. She tucked it down into the hood and then pulled the hood up over her head. She then looked back up at Elliot.
"I really am sorry. I wish there was something I could do...."

Elliot smiled.
"Nah, it's alright." he said.
"It's not your fault. Anyway,
what are you going to order?"

Luna fallowed quickly.
Her hands gripped the back of the chair and pulled it out swiftly.
She sat down in the wooden chair with a sigh.
Her long hair hung over the back as she stretched out, her head stretching out back and neck resting on the top of the chair.
She wrapped her arms around her chest, squeezing tightly.
She was bored, tired, and most of all, depressed.
'What the heck.... Why...' He mind was confused and numb to the world.
She practically ignored Elliot's rash anger at Celest.
She would have spoken up upon it not being her fault, however, in her current condition she was in the mood for anything and he "Apologized" faster than she could muster the strength to talk.
A smile tingled her lips for no reason other than exhaustion.
'I'm worthless..' She thought, 'A failure among geniuses. A joker performing for the King and Queen...'
Another sigh sat upon her throat, threatening to make its presence known.

Celest placed her hands on the table again and pressed her two pointer fingers together. She stared up at the wall and thought for a moment.
"I feel bad always spending your ruppees, Elliot. I wish I had some of mine left, but...I spent them quite a while ago. Is there any way I can repay you?"

Elliot didn't catch the thoughts of Luna;
he was much too busy reading the barflies' minds.
Finding nothing, he sighed and stared in another direction.
He vaguely heard the waiter ask Celest and Luna what
they wanted, when he saw the flier.
As soon as the waiter left, Elliot said,
"Guys! Look!"

He pointed at the A.B. poster,
especially the names underneath it:
Flint and Cole.
