In the heart of Durem, surrounded by flourishing night life and energy, lies the Dragon's Den. This nightclub is the most popular in the area and brings in a huge crowd every night of the week. It's spacious and modern, with top of the range sound systems and lighting. The main bar is well stocked with every favourite beverage imaginable. The bar staff are friendly, talented and eager to serve.
The dance floor is massive but even so it is often hard to see the space between the dancers on weekends. Weeknights are slightly less crowded but no less energetic. The walls are lined with comfortable seating and booths. A vast mirrored window looks down on the whole scene from above, reflecting the coloured light show. This is often ignored, as no one can see into it. It offers an excellent view of the dancers and the DJ booth. Behind this mirrored window lies the main office of the manager, Jack Corvi.
The DJ booth always has one of the top DJs in Durem playing. Often it's the highly-popular Raven. The music is loud and keeps everyone jumping. To one side, set a little away from the crowds are the VIP seats. A red velvet rope and attentive security keeps this area free of those who have not been invited in. A patio area through some double doors has an outside bar and seating, perfect for those who smoke.
Upstairs, opposite the vast mirrored window, is a balcony area to relax in with yet another smaller bar. There are lush seats and tables providing the perfect and slightly quieter space to catch up with friends and watch the dancing below. Spacious and modern bathrooms can be found below ground.
Rumours have it that as well as the offices there is a whole complex of rooms hidden from the public eye where a few of the staff actually reside. These are not rumours. Jack and Raven and a couple of the long term staff have personal rooms behind the scenes. If you know them well or catch their eye, you may get to see them.
((Anyone may play here, drink up a little and have fun. Usual rules apply. One addition is the suggestion that you may add Youtube links to any post you make here in order to set the mood and music for the post. This isn't compulsory, but it is encouraged as a bit of fun.))

Flutter had taken her friend's advice, and signed up online for one of those dating services. Ehormone therapy or something like that. She had paid the obscene amount of money, and been matched up with someone based on so many categories of compatibility.
The most important one being the fact that the guy was single. Or at least that was what he wrote on his application.

"Ah, Daniel!" the bar tender shouted over the loud booming music. "It's been a long time, hasn't it?"
"Yes John, it certainly has!"
"What can I get you?"
"Eh.. A shot of whiskey, for now."
A tall brown haired man, sat on a high stool at that infamous Dragons Den bar. He had heard about the place but never actually seen it for himself. He pondered to himself, beginning to worry about the blind date he was going on this evening. It wasn't his initial idea to be here. Although he was single and looking, he didn't have the nerve to ask anyone out on his own. It was his brothers idea to sign up for online dating.
"New experiences!" the words of his brother kept running through his head.
He shook his head slightly. Picking up the shot glass of whiskey, he pressed the glass to his lips and kneeled his head back quickly. As the liquid burned it's way down the back of his throat, Daniel quickly remembered the incident that drove him away from drinking, 3 years ago. Though he also began to remember the reason he was single... and the many reasons after that why he had given up on dating.
Ugh. I need another drink.
[I hope this is a good start. :3]

((It is. Better than mine.))
Flutter was searching through the crowd for the boy that she was supposed to meet tonight. Each time a boy drew near her, she could feel her heart start to race. She swallowed several times, and tucked her hair back from her face, then changed her mind and mussed it up to bring out her natural curls.
She dug in her purse for the instructions that she had been given. His name was Daniel. She looked through the profile, and it seemed like he would be a good match for her. They were similar in a lot of ways, which meant that he was probably as nervous as she was about this whole blind date thing.
How was she supposed to know who he was?

Acropilis, wearing very casual clothes, walked into the bar with complete surprise. From the booming Dance Gavin Dance music to the Asian setting, this bar was by far, one of the most unique he has ever seen. Upon entering, one face seemed so familiar to him, and he walked up to the girl.
"Hey, Flutter, is that you?"
He couldn't really tell with the scream-o in the background (DDG is one of my favorite bands) and the dim lights, but he guessed she wouldn't be able to recognize him in his clothes. He wore brown leather converse slims with baggy jeans, a thin brown coat that wore lightly on his shoulders, and an Underoath T-shirt on the bottom. His scar on his eye still showed, but otherwise, was hard to see in this setting.

Daniel leaned against the edge of his stool. Funny how a bar stool could also have a back rest on it. Next thing you know, there'll be stools with arm rests. What a ridiculous thought. These and many more seemed to populate his mind on ocassion.
He let out a bit sigh (that no one could hear over the music anyways; not even himself). Nervous was not the word to describe how he felt. More like frightened. Bars were not his scene. Atleast, not anymore.
He gazed up at the speakers that were pounding upbeat riffs and scratched his head wondering what exactly it was they were all listening to. It was far different from what his ears welcome. He debated on unbuttoning his jacket and revealing the 'Weezer" brandish that was etched across his chest. Perhaps this was not the right scene for that.
Shaking his head at his small waredrobe, he decided to get some fresh air. The flashing lights were starting to make him nauseous and the heat was starting to get to him. Standing up, he pushed his stool-chair-contraption in and began to weave in and out of the crowd.
He was almost at the door. He could see it a short distance away. It was calling his name!
Bump!
Oh no! He was so dead-set on getting out that he didn't even notice the young woman he bumped into. He looked up to see who it was. He couldn't make out the color of her eyes through the thick curls that vaguely covered her face. Was this..? He noticed another male coming up from behind and quickly shrugged the thought from his mind. A quick rosey blush painted his cheeks red. "So sorry..." he said as he quickly looked away and shuffled towards the door.
I'm such a clutz! But man... she was cute...

She reached out to grab him by the arm when he bumped into her. Large brown eyes, deep thoughtful look. She didn't let go of his arm though.
"Please. Don't leave me with him." she begs, leaning into Daniel to speak loud enough into his ear that she would be heard over the pounding of the music.
This would not be heard by Acro, not matter what his 'power' or 'abilities' were.
Flutter excused herself as having a prior engagement with Daniel, and walked with him outside of the bar. He was heading outside, she attached herself to him to follow him out.

As the male began to leave, he felt a slight tug on his arm. He turned back to see the woman he just bumped into trying to come with him. She leaned in real close and he heard the words "don't lea-- me wi-- him". It was too loud to make out every word, but he thought he had the jist of it.
Then it hit him. Looking back on the profile image he gazed at several times while debating on taking this chance, he recognized the lass as the lady he was coming to this place to meet. He noded to her slightly and directed her toward the front door.
As the door slowly closed behind them, suddenly, hearing was an option again. He wasn't really sure what to say, so the first thing that came out was "Do you know that guy?"
Smooth.
He began to introduce himself. "Uhm... I'm Daniel," he said with a smile as he reached out his hand for a good shake. Then he realised...
In all the commotion and all the worrying about things, he couldn't remember what her name was.
Oh crap...
[Also, what are you wearing? (in a non-perverted way!) xD]

It had been hot inside of the club. Flutter ran a hand up the back of her neck, her chin length wavy brown hair curling tightly against her neck in the dampness of the humid heat and her sweat. She flicked the curls off of her neck, and lightly adjusted the flower pin that she'd put in her hair over one of her ears.
She was wearing a short mauve dress, ruffled at the bottom hem and slightly larger than she was to allow her to move easily, and the hem to swing enticingly over her long, and lean legs. The dress clung to her waist, and the spaghetti straps criss crossed over the back of her dress that hung down to the middle, almost in a straight line from her waist. The front was a ruffled low 'U' shape. She didn't have to worry about hiding a bra, since she didn't have enough of a chest to justify using one. Plus the lines of this dress wouldn't have allowed for one.
Her fingernails, and toenails matched the color of the dress. She wore sandals, with dainty flowers on the front of them that matched her hairpin.
She thanked him for rescuing her.
"Yes, I know him. He follows me around to a lot of the places that I go." she says with a sheepish grin.
"I didn't feel like hanging out with him tonight, I see him enough as it is."
She looked around outside, there was a line up to get into the club that they just stepped out of. They would have gotten stamps from entering the club, so they should be able to get back in whenever they wanted.
No rush.
"I'm Flutter. This is a coincidence. The boy I was supposed to meet tonight is named Daniel." she said with a laugh.

Daniel laughed slightly. Flutter huh? It must be her. "It's funny you mention that, because I was supposed to be meeting someone here, too.
Online dating, right?"
Daniel admired the deep brown and curled locks that waved down from her scalp. Hair was one of his favorite features of a woman was their hair. The number one thing happened to be their eyes. He was affraid to look her dead in the eyes, for fear that he may fall for her in an instant. Wouldn't be the first time.
He was also a bit embarrased about his attire compared to his. She was dressed quite well compared to him. He wore a brownish-tan colored corduroy jacket, which covered a black band t-shirt beneath it. He also wore a pair of black, dressy-looking (yet hardly dressy) pants. He somehow managed to look exactly like Leon S. Kennedy from the Resident Evil video game.
"ahem."
He attempted to break the silence. "You look good."

Some men could dress casual and pull it off. Daniel was one of them. The jacket, and the band t-shirt were becoming. She liked it. They were at a bar, so to get formal for a bar didn't make much sense. The reason she had dressed up a bit was because she didn't get a chance to do it all that often.
It had been fun getting ready. Whether or not she looked 'good' was something of a matter of opinion. That he'd noticed, and took the time to tell her made Flutter beam, and blush.
"Really? Not too much?"
Rhetorical questions that there was only one answer to in order to set things off onto the right foot for the evening. She ran her fingers through her hair and thanked him for the compliment.
She tugged on the edge of the sleeve of his jacket. She smiled, and rubbed his arm.
"I like what you're wearing."
"Yep, online dating. Only way for me to break out of my shell to meet anyone." she says with a mock cheer leader enthusiasm. Hip, hip, hoorah!!
She'd been distracted by his noticing her appearance.

Setting the SceneHans Fritz stood at the entrance to the VIP area, with arms folded over a bulging chest. It was easy to see that the man meant business, especially considering one would have to be blind not to see the 8' mountain of muscle. The custom black tuxedo he wore did little to hide his frame, and the lights within the dance club continually flashed off his Romani style shades.
'I wonder what she's like in the sack.'
Hans gave an inward smirk, as his hidden eyes traveled along one of the dancers within the club. She was out on the dance floor, hot, and sweaty with her red hair bouncing off her back. Oh, and that bust~
The large man shook his head at the thoughts though, because Hans had a job to do here. His eyes casually danced upon all the patrons, scanning the upstairs, the entrance to the bar, and everywhere in between. Generally speaking, the smaller men and women who served as the bar security kept to the mundane tasks of making sure that only VIP got into the section, because Hans was the muscle to enforce order in the place.
Not just muscle either.
In Hans' tuxedo jacket, a harness was laid over his white tux shirt, and it held a couple of .50ae magnums (also known as desert eagles). A couple belts crossed the shirt, and they held 30round extended mags for the 14" barrels of death. The silver polish on those guns would bounce off some of the light whenever Hans unfolded his arms to 'fix' his jacket, to hint at people that he was packing without being too outright over it.
There were large ka-bar in Hans' boots too, even though they seemed rather dressy with the tuxedo he wore. Hans had quite a few weapons stored on him, and it wasn't too atypical of Durem bar security to be so equipped either.
Hans also had an earpiece/ transmitter equipped, so that he could stay in touch with the rest of the club security. Updates along the channel were typically things like one of the bouncers checking in, reports on specific VIPs, or people that could be possible trouble, nothing too complex.

He chuckled slightly, wondering if she had also connected the dots on their 'chance' encounter. Clearly, they were here to meet each other. He was somewhat distracted by his own inner thoughts when he felt a slight tug on his sleeve.
Flutter had made herself quite comfortable with him. She returned the compliment. He noticed a minor reddish tone in her cheeks and thought maybe he embarrassed her with his compliment. Her compliment would be the counter-weight, as he too felt his cheeks getting warm.
"Um.. Thank you." He felt a little too casual compared to her, thought he was certain that in her mind, she probably felt too formal compared to him.
He attempted to make a minor joke, "We're a little mismatched, aren't we." He said it with a playful laugh, hoping she would find it funny (and most importantly hoping he didn't just make an a** of himself.)
He wasn't certain if her response to online dating was a generally positive one or a half-hearted one. Perhaps she shared his enthusiasm about blind dating. It was something that was quite overwhelming to him. But if all carried on like this, none of that would matter.

She looked down at herself, then back at him to give his observation a mock assessment. She laughed, and nodded.
"Yep, we are on different pages. You are at the end, and I am at the beginning and somewhere in the middle we'll meet and get along famously."
Flutter was horrible at the small talk. She often thought she was saying something funny, only to find out that everyone was looking at her like she was from another planet. No, she was human.
Mork from Ork was currently touring about the country on a comedy tour, and signing autographs while dressed in spandex, and upside down.
She was thirsty. All this talking, but mostly her being nervous was starting to make her want a drink. They could go back inside, but they wouldn't hear each other unless they went to a VIP room to sit. There was the impression that naughty things happened there, but she didn't want to think about that if she was sitting down where they may or may not have happened.
"What happens on page 2 of our story?"

"Oh. So this is what Benjamin Button must have felt like, huh?" he said with a witty smirk. One of Daniels favorite things to do was to make obscure quotations and refrences to movies, books and video games. He always got a chuckle out of it, though most people never found a way to make the connection.
"What happens on page 2?" he repeated the question, to make sure he heard it right. "Well..." he paused and pondered for a moment. "I say that page two of our adventure, the heros sit down and have a philosophical debate about what should go on page three, four and possibly five."
Always a joker.
