There aren't really any rules regarding this place, because I trust you guys to make interesting topics here and not fill the place with crap.
It's basically an alternate General Discussion, but the rules are a little different. Firstly, I think it's wrong to have a separate forum to talk about Gaia itself (i.e. the Gaia Community Discussion) because if someone wants to make a topic about the GD, they want to GD to read it. So, this forum can be considered as the GD merged with the GCD. I think the GD's rules are too strict, meaning some really cool topics get sent to the Chatterbox, while people continue to spam the GD at a rate the mods can't deal with.
The only way to fix these problems, surely, is to regulate the flow of users.
So what sort of people do we let in here?
Well, when I get a join request I usually check the user's post history. If I see a few sensible posts rather than senseless trolling and spamming, I let them in. Although this is supposed to be a step back to the days of the old GD, even new users are allowed here if they promise to make at least a few sensible posts.
As for grammar, I like our users to be fairly literate, but they don't have to be perfect spellers. Remember, adding a spell-checker to your browser is a good idea.
So what's this forum for? Well, anything that you like! Since you guys came here to get away from the corruption in the GD, I'll assume I can trust you, so don't let me down.
