This is a private rp between Cricket2008 and Miroke Harly is searching the forest floor in the Jungle of sleep. He is VERY rarely out of his cove in the mountain in the forest but he is hungry, and he is running out of things to write about in his book. He collects all the information he can and puts them in a book describing the island and its inhabitants. He and is companion Quinny are searching for anything in the forest while flying just above the mountain tops.

 Tourmaline usually did her fishing on the eastern side of the island, but she needed a change of scenery. She found herself over the southern beach before she finally hooked a fish in her claws. She was flying back to the beach when she spotted an unusual colored wyvern catching the updrafts over the mountain range.

Harly spots something colorful along the beach side and goes to investigate. He can only see a form and vague colors because it was behind he sun. Harly squint and lands near by and shifts to be on the side of her. "Well well well a fellow Wyvern. I haven't spotted you before. What are you doing here?"

Tourmaline eyes the strange wyvern. "I'm not from around here," she replied. "I thought I'd try the fish on this side of the island."
Tourmaline held the large fish down with one claw and ripped the fish in half with her teeth. She picked up one half of the fish and tossed it in front of the purple and green wyvern. "I normally share this with my pet, but she's not here, so you can have half if you want it."

Harly looks at her. "You are odd coloring yourself, do you know what you resemble? and Thank you" he says picking up the half and feeding most of it to the pudgy Quinny.

"I resemble the night sky," Tourmaline answered back. She looked at the little animal sharing Harly's fish. "What is that?" she asked, poking her nose at the fat-bellied critter.

Harly just says," You look nothing like the sky except your stars, and that would be my companion Quinny, a Chureep. I came upon the gluten by chance and unfortuately he stuck to me and mutated to match me. So then I couldn't ditch him. Speaking of it, What is your familiar?" he says matter of factly. Qunny shrieks at the poke and hides on Harlys back.

"I don't have any familiars," she replied, still watching the Chureep, wondering what it tasted like. "I've sort of adopted a human though. I found her stranded in a storm and I've been keeping an eye on her ever since."
"Speaking of colors, how did you come by yours?" Tourmaline shuffled her wings. "I thought I was pretty bright, but I must say, you'd certainly stand out in a crowd."

"A HUMAN! ARE YOU INSANE! Those things that destroy are planet for their entertainment. I think I have misjudged you character. And I do not know how I came about mine, I assume, like familiars I copied an existing pattern. That is why i want to know what you saw because the pattern is familiar." he forgets his worries momentarily for his exploit of knowledge.

Tourmaline was a bit surprised by the wyvern's reaction to the mention of humans. "I don't know much about humans in general. I'd just as soon eat them, if it weren't for the uproar that the commons would make. They look kindly on the creatures." She put a few steps between her and Harly in case this casual conversation turned into something else. "I came across the human by chance just as you came across your pet by chance. I found it, I kept it."

Harly watches her suspiciously "You have a point but how can you stand it! It is vile. I bet it wouldn't even taste good. The commons are uptight about there information too. and Quinny was accidental, I will believe you for now." he says settling down.

Tourmaline could sense that the dark wyvern's friendly nature had changed. "I only know of the one human and she's not vile like you say. She lives off the land and harms nothing." Tourmaline didn't care what others thought of her, but she was protective of her human. "Where did you get the information that humans are destroying our world?"

"Well good for you but I will not tell you my source regardless, though I promise you it is factual. I myself ventured off once and witnessed small horrors compared to mainlands." He says with a shiver. "I do not trust humans but I will leave yours alone for now."

"Let's change the subject then. No more talk about humans." Tourmaline expected wyverns to be temperamental, but this one had really short fuse on the human subject. "So, where do you come from?"

Harly shifts uncomfortably, "Well I live in a cavern in the hill in the Sleeping Jungle. I spend most of my time there but I do help the training sometimes. The devilish farie will give me information in compensation. how about you?" he questions.
