Leilani had never been to the mountains that lay just beyond the horizon from where she called home. They were certainly beautiful but it seemed exploring them might prove difficult. She had been wandering for quite some time and hadn't found a safe path that lead upward. There had to be one, she had heard tales of other Soquili's trips into the mountains.
Perhaps this is where Winds come from... She had heard stories of Soquili with wings from her Dada but she had yet to lay eyes on one herself. If the story hadn't come from Colonel she might have doubted that they existed at all.
The white maned mare came to stop by a small creek and dipped her muzzle in for a drink. It was time for a break anyway, it had been a few hours since the last one. Little did she realize her long mane had fallen into the creek as well when she had bent down to take a drink.

Abel had been traveling for some time now, whether by land or air. His recent travels have been by air and it found him at the top of a mountain peek. Now, he was pretty close to his home, but he still didn't feel he was ready to go back now... though he was curious what has been going on while he was gone.
Shaking the thought out of his mind, the tall wind found a trail and was now winding his way down it. Over time, he found himself coming to a stream. He nickered softly at the sight of it, wings fluttering before resting at his sides again. Getting closer to it, he caught sight of something else. Ears perking, he glanced at the mare drinking from the cool liquid some distance ahead.
The sight of her was refreshing after so many days of not seeing another, but he didn't want to disturb her. With that, he just walked to the stream silently and dipped his head down to the water, sipping up the cool liquid, his hair flopping over the side of his neck.
