This is a rp strictly for myself. It's a rp between my two dragons, Draco and Shannati, a past that happened long ago that still effects their decisions today....

It had been a long dreary night, one of legends that bards would sing of for years to come. The moon had disappeared behind a wall of grey clouds that covered the surface of the sky from any that might view it so low to the ground. The wind howled with an eerie sound that could shake any from a restful sleep, bringing forth with it a cold and lonely feeling.
Hidden deep in the faded light was a single soul, bright red liquid dripping off one claw into a pool of clear water. Eyes the color of crimson were staring deep into the looming substance as the red flared up like a cloud. And then suddenly in that moment that sound of crunching leaves caused the eyes to turn, focusing deep on a pair of orbs as black as the abyss.
"All of this devastation... I'm surprised my men lasted as long as they did." Came the deep male voice.
"You act much too surprised." Replied the raspy female, her red eyes glaring in his direction as she stood. "They were too easy to kill, I thought your father would at least provide better protection for someone he supposedly cares about so much."
A laugh raised itself from the male's throat. It was nearly a sick laugh, echoing in the empty dusk air. "You give my father far too much credit, and you don't give me enough Milady." He took a step closer, close enough that the lady could see the snow white of his fur with the black accents. "Though I suppose he sent you here?"
"Don't act so dumb!" She growled, eying him in pure hatred. "You act as though everything you were taught no longer matters. You were once one of us!" Her hissing grew in octave.
"Once." He gave a shrug as though it didn't matter. "Though that was long ago... the past is what it is, everyone has a choice.. don't you? Why do you stay with them?"

The female had had enough of his prattling. He was just as much of an idiot as his father. She couldn't exactly be sure how the two of them ever became a part of their great Lord's world or why he allowed it for so long. Shaking her head, she stood to her feet, eying him with her two orbs that were almost as red as the blood she had washed in the pool. "Perhaps I should finish the job right now for even insinuating that there could be anything wrong with our King."
The male moved his eyes up and down along her body, drinking in her appearance as he gave a shrug, nonchalantly turning to a tree as though her threat meant nothing. "Do you remember when we were cubs Shannati?" His voice was as calm as ever, just like his father it was rarely ever raised above a normal octave. And though it seemed as though he had let his guard down the male knew exactly what he was doing.
Shannati shrunk back slightly, a distance forming in her usually alert red eyes. "Don't bring that up..." Her voice was quiet, hardly above a whisper as the words formed under her breath.

"So you do... don't you?" He turned on his heels, eying the female with a glint behind his pure black eyes. "Do you remember the games we use to play...? Do you remember what all happened before Amoradae-"
"Don't!!" She screeched on the top of her lungs. "Don't you dare bring her into this!" She spat long and hard, a fire burning deep in her orbs. "You think you're so smug... How dare you even think such a thing! What happened in our past is exactly what it is." She stalked close to him ready to strike at any moment but something held her back, something pricked at her spikes long enough to cause her to flinch at what she should know to do.
"You remember Shannati... you remember when we were in love..." His voice was casual, almost as if none of this had bothered him. Perhaps to him it was fate that their great leader had sent her to him. Was it a test on her part? Or was it one on his...

Shannati was now seething deep in her lungs. It was becoming hard to breathe, hard to contemplate any of what he was telling her. When they were children they thought they would always be together, that it was their fate to be one. They were engaged... until he left, until he left to be apart of some uprising against their Lord. "You... you betrayed me..." Her voice was hardly above a whisper was an explosion of emotion spasmed through her body. "...How dare you!" She bent back her paw and struck him hard on the face, tearing open flesh that the nail had come in contact with.
Draco still remained calm. "I guess I deserved that.." He pushed back the blood with the back of his paw. "I'm sure I deserve that and whatever wrath you have for me Shannati... I'm sure I'm the reason you ran to Amoradae... Perhaps it is my fate to always let down those who love me." He stepped closer was Shannati huddled into her own skin. She was hurting and though he would never let it show he hurt for causing it. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry my love..."
A pang of remorse ran through her and for a second she almost forgave him, almost. "How dare you..." She snarled. "How dare you act like that would be all that it took for me to become yours again..." Her voice was low, snarling on the inside. "You wrecked my life..." With a shifted position she was now looking into his eyes. "You can never repay for the pain that you caused me..." With a raised claw she went to run him through again but before she could he caught it and pulled her close.
"I can't.. you're right.. but maybe.. somehow.. you might let me make it up to you." He pinned her, positioning her in his arms so she couldn't move. "Be mine again Shannati... even just for tonight.." He whispered into her ear, clinging to her as he use to. "We can be beautiful once more..."
