I cant seem to beat him....AT ALL!!

Oh wow what level are your characters?
It has been years since I played but I recall he uses Bio a lot.
Have you considered buying equipment that protects against poison.
I recall final fantasy game midboss that used poisons being quit a pain.
I still think the worst was the zodiac monster in Final fantasy tactics.

Make sure you have all of the ribbons you have equipped on your characters, especially the ones with lower hp. Use big guard if you have it, that'll help shield against his attacks. On his second form, don't worry about the arms since they just keep reviving--attack his body.
If that doesn't work, just try leveling up your characters and materia a little and try again.

LVL alot, equip ribbons to everyone, single out one character for healing only and use the reagen trick (cast reagen on all your characters and eject the disc until they're all healed up and put it back in). And lastly, haste works wonders, especialy because it's all one continuous battle. Which form are you having trouble with?

Ah yes, Hojo. A professor who created many horrible experiments, went insane, and eventually injected himself with JENOVA cells, which caused him to mutate into a monster. If I'm correct, he has three forms.
form #1: Hojo
This form is easy enough. just continually attack Hojo, ignoring the monsters he summons.
form #2: Heretic Hojo(in the english version of the game, its mistranslated to Helletic Hojo)
In this form destroy both his arms, and don't focus on the body. once both arms are destroyed, he should transform again. If not, just attack the body until he does.
form #3: Lifeform Hojo NA
Use all your strongest attacks and spells(this includes summons), and try to have many restorative items handy. a character with w-item materia is a good idea too.(it lets you use two items at once.)
