Schaden was working alone that night. Her twin brother had firmly been told to keep his big nose out of it, this task did not call for common thuggery but instead for a lighter touch. Silence and cunning were vital on spying missions, and Freude had neither of these qualities. Schaden, on the other hand, had them in spades. She was very petite for a woman, wiry and lightning fast. Traps were hardly a problem, her mistresses house gave her more than enough practise on that front. In short she was perfect for sneaking in to rival houses to gather information that could be used against them, or following people undetected. Tonight she was doing just that, as she made her way through the abandoned streets towards her destination, some upstart little house that was becomming overly confident. She just needed to make sure that noone saw her approach te building...

Vasryna sat rooted in her room, her eyes scanning the tome before her as she sharpened a dagger. The house was silent; everyone else in the Kilrahel clan had something better to do, apparently. The Drowess gritted her teeth at this thought, the tension her frustration created tight in the air. Why the hell was she safely on her bed reading one of her brother's books?!
"What is the point of this necromancy!" She cried, frustrated, quite apparently in one of her eccentric moments. It took a lot not to throw her brother's book across the room with force. It took a lot not to throw it at all. It wasn't widely known, but she did favor her younger brother. Still, life was boring right now, and so was her younger brother's subject of study.

Having failed to find a way of entering the building, Schaden had no choice but to scale one of the outside walls. This was hardly convient as the liklyhood of being seen was high. She had kept to the back of the house trying hard to find a foothold between the smooth stones. The young drow woman had the appearance of a giant spider, keeping to the hollows and alcoves to avoid being seen. There was a window nearby. That she could just about make it to. But a sudden voice from inside sent her scuttling back into the shadows. Damn it! She hadn't counted on anyone being home. Her informants had definitely told her that the family would all be gone that night. Obviously her informants were idiots. Her grip was failing fast, should she risk a battle with a stranger or fall to her death. Neither looked particularly promising, and the young woman wished she had allowed her brother to accompany her. He could at least have given her something squishy to land on. She sucked in a breath and hoped for the best as she swung herself onto the windowsill.

Vas'ryna detected the small noise with ease and something like shock, she spun around on her bed, immediately in a defensive crouch as she gazed to the Drowess on her windowsill. "Who are you?!" She demanded, angry yet shocked as she reached for one of her poisoned throwing stars.
The assassin looked more than just a little confused, as well. It wasn't every day that someone hopped up onto your windowsill... "Do you dare invade the house of Kil'rahel?!"

Schaden scrambled to her feet warily, her hand poised over the hilt of her knife, ready to defend herself should the need arise.
"Not invade. I merely lost altitude and needed a place to perch." she said with a cautious smirk. When in danger her instinct veered towards backtalk. Still if she was going to die, she could at least go with the last word. "Do you invade the house of Kil'rahel?" She retorted a pale eyebrow raised.

Vas'ryna glared. "If you do not leave, rest assured. I will kill you!" She didn't care for the other woman's excuses. Her mother would know of this. "Go now and maybe I'll spare you. Whatever you were trying, you're unsuccessful now. But I will kill you on sight if you come again!"
She was mostly trying to let this woman go because she wasn't at all properly prepared. Her defenses had been completely down.

Schaden was a little a little taken aback by the other woman but didnt need to be told twice. Being a scrawny thing, she had learned long ago to assess her opponents, and aven without a weapon this assassin could well and truly thrash her. Grabbing the window frame above her head she swung herself out of her enemies room and disapearing from sight and retreating to the safety of the roof quick as lightning and as expertly as circus folk.

Not much longer later; a tavern in Guallidurth near the house of Kil'rahel.
The Necromancer-in-training sat casually at the table in the filthy tavern, his eyes flicking around in search of someone. The pitch-black cloak disguised him well enough as he sat in wait, a soft frown appearing on his facial features. He was eager to know what had happened and if he'd any kind of reward or other information for his traitorous acts.
That was right. He had betrayed the house of Kil'rahel and he had enjoyed every last bit of it.

The young rogue stalked angrily across the floor. The clientele here were mostly males, needing to relax somewhat after their demanding training or labors. Some instinctively lowered their eyes as she passed, others who knew a little more about her did not. She was still their superior, even though she came from a destroyed house, but only just, which made things dangerous. Seething as she spotted the cause of her grief that evening, blending in with the crowd but not enough to hide the wealth in his fabrics and general hygiene. She sank heavily into the seat across from him without waiting for an invitation.

Triel'aun's eyes flicked up as the woman entered the bar, frowning slightly as she sat across from him. "You do not look at all pleased." There was obvious confusion in his tone as he regarded the Drowess. Of course, not many Drow often looked pleased, but this time it looked like something had gone wrong. The smaller Drow stiffened instinctively at this troubling thought, watching the rogue in slight disbelief as he awaited an explanation.
What was it? Had he forgotten something? Surely not.
