I'm starting a new game in my ruby version. I started with Treeko. I've never had a grass starter and I've never built a team around a grass type. So I need Advice. I'm at the second gym, so i can train guys up and I have no problem waiting until later in the game to fill up my roster. I curretly have a treeko,kadabra,beautifly, and wingull (all at level 15 or 16).
Any advice?

Chances are I'm posting too late, but I'd suggest catching an Aron/Geodude for your defensive pokemon, and a Makuhita so you have some Fighting on your team. Otherwise, I'd say your team is pretty versatile for now.

I am raising an aron. i decided to ditch wingull except for when i need fly. I think i'll use a milotic/sharpedo/wailord as my water. and i'm also thinking about a trapnich. I'm not past the thirs gym yet, but i'm rasing a goldeen and aron to lvl 23 or so before i challenge.

Since you're in that area then, I'd suggest also picking up an Electrike. Electricity is handy for hitting Flying foes after all.

ya. I usually leave it to my Kadabra for flying types. I've always raised one and my usual moveset is reflect, psychic, thuner/thunerbolt, and thief/another dark move i can find a tm for. its pretty effective
