 Bliss hissed unhappily, head and body low to the ground moving quickly and quietly before swiftly snapping up her prey, the fat vole squealed squirming frantically before she clamped her jaws down sharply on its body ending its already short life. Munching on her bloody snack as she listened for the sounds of her packmates...of other raptors. She currently shared a den with three and of them she was probably the most volatile, being the second female among the group, she considered herself the alpha female, a bit bossy if friendly she liked to run things.
Her tail swishing contentedly gulping down the last of her days catchs remains bliss stalked off deciding to explore a bit maybe find more food or..well who knows. The female stalked the grasses for a time, tail high and senses alert...

 Suddenly a dark raptor leaped out of the brush carrying a dead deer which hung limply from his jaws. Looking slightly dazed he realized he was not alone. Bashfully setting down the bloody carcass on the ground he apologetically exclaimed, "Oh dear I hope I've not startled you."

((Hi hi sorry this took so long! I didnt know anyone had posted here! Squee! I love your raptor btw, pink floyd is awesome!)
Bliss let out a startled hiss, jumping back from the male that had suddenly leapt from the bushes! Her gaze going from the dripping limply hanging deer carcass to the large black males form, his colors were interesting, as was his apology. "Startled, hah no!" bliss said a blatant lie. Her talons clicking against the ground nervously as she walked forwards to him. "I dont get startled..feh" she said with a huff pretending she didnt care "So...you seem like a good hunter..whats your name anyways I havent seen you around before" it was a lame opening line she knew but bliss had never been good with talking to other raptors.

Echo picked up on the red and white female's bluff, and found it hard to restrain a laugh. She seemed like a good raptor at heart through all the toughness. "I'm not surprised that you haven't seen me before. I hunt mostly at night." He smiled a little. He clicked his large toe claw against the baked ground. "My name is Echo. May I ask your name?"

"Ah I see...you dont run with a pack do you?" she asked that may be another reason for her not recognizing him, snorting when he laughed at her, though if she could she probably would have been blushing. "Echo...its an okay name. Mmm Im bliss..I suppose its nice to meet you" tail flicking as she gave him a toothy grin.

"I am currently not in a pack. I kind of wander and dabble, listen to the problems that raptors have. And well I try to help them." He looked at his deer carcass nervously. "I pick up on things really fast, I guess that's the only way I can describe it. Enough about me, what about you?" He chuckled softly.

"I have a pack of my own, Im not exactly social though" she snickered listening to him well such a kind hearted soul and all alone? So odd for a raptor. "You realize your strange yes? Hee hee ive never met a raptor like you" she smiled nodding in agreement with him "Indeed you do pick up on things rather fast, thats a good trait to have" she smirked walking over to take a bite out of his deer carcass "And as for me..I am hungry small game isnt filling you know? kee so I believe I'll share your deer!" even though she hadnt asked she felt inclined to take..well he had surprised her so he deserved it.
"I live in a small pack, im the alpha!" her tail swishing proudly as she spoke. "Mmm....I guess..you could say im ill tempered, dont like other raptors..bossy..you know you really make me look bad in comparison to you" she huffed swallowing her food.

Echo let out a laugh at her naive way of steeling his deer carcass. "Bliss you should have asked me for part of the carcass, not just ask your self for it. I would have gladly let you have some," He snickered. "You'd better be careful, next time it will earn you a n** on the nose," he said playfully, "And even pretty alpha females deserve a little n** on the nose ever once in awhile."Taking a side of the deer carcass he started to tug.

"I suppose I should have but I didnt feel like it, besides you dont seem to mind sharing right!" she smiled running her tongue over her teeth as she gave the carcass a hungry look.."Ah what? Chee your saying your going to be the one nipping me hmm?" she chuckled teasingly echo was an okay guy.."I suppose that sometimes they do, mm thank you though for not getting mad" she nodded apologizing in her own way. Helping him as she tugged on the other side, tearing off another piece.

"Man this deer is absolutely delicious!" Said Echo as he tore off a small chunk off of the deer's leg. The legs were usually the best part, they had majority of the meet, and in general it was a good idea to stay way from the organs. "Do you enjoy night hunting Bliss?" He chuckled. He could tell that she was starting to loose her high and mighty attitude.

"It is! Hah..I suppose I should thank you for catching it shoudlnt I? Mmm and for sharing it" she smiled how odd her being so kind to another raptor..a male no less.."I enjoy it sometimes, though I tend to do better in the daylight because of my coloring..ah but I do love the darkness and the stars!" she said happily, she really did like star gazing..

"The stars are another reason why I enjoy night hunting. I also love watching the moon rise when it's full and orange." said Echo distantly. "You have never seen a truly starry sky until you been to the desert though. The stars are so bright that you can actually see the arm of the milky way stretching across the pitch black horizons. Have you ever seen a sky like that?"

"That would make sense..to get to come out and see them.." tilting her head curiously as she thought for a moment. "Ive never been to a desert before, it sounds nice though!" she chuckled "Never seen a sky like that, not ever heh this is my home and I've always been here with my pack..ive never roamed much"

"I've roamed a little too much," Echo murmered. He stopped chewing on the carcass. He shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot and looked rather nervous. "See I've been looking for my pack since I was an infant. I got lost, I used to live in the desert, it's my home."

Bliss frowned talons clicking as she looked up at echo.."Thats horrible..no one should ever be separated from their pack..the pack is..is survival. Mmm youve lived a hard life havent you echo" and yet despite that he was still so happy and friendly..how..intriguing..
