I believe that true feminism means supporting everyone's right to chose who they are, what they do with their bodies, and how they live their lives. If someone likes being a housewife/ just fine. If someone wants to have sex with another consenting adult? Just fine. I feel the separatists are just as constricting and domineering as the old order they were trying to over through. They call themselves feminists sure, but when they are telling me what to do with my body and are restricting my choices they are spitting on the core feminist principals such as self actualization and choice. As far as I am concerned the late Andrea Dworkin and her separatist legions are as reactionary as someone like Sara Palin and are the true fringe. It's people like them that make the rest of us look bad and who make younger women with feminist principles afraid to own the term "feminists" for fear of being lumped in with the crazies.

However choosing to bow down to the supposed male elite isn't exactly helping, now is it?

I see alot of women taking steps backwards just not to be associated with feminism in general because "they're all a bunch of bra burning dykes who have nothing to fight for anymore"
