Another day was passing by with nothing to do. The sun was above blazing down upon the spotted leopards back. His green hair sticking out more then usual in the semi-long grass. Thona was just standing there for no real reason. He didn't feel like walking, nor sitting, or laying. It seemed just fine to just stand here for a moment or two. Take in the surrounding area as much as possible. He was scoping the lands for his pride he had in mind to make. This place wasn't too far off from where his mate was, Nande. Yet it gave a good distance to where she couldn't see him. With more trees then the normal place, rocks, some hills and some mountains that way. Though he figured this would be the best place to make the pride's main area.

There was a stream running threw the land, not quite a river, it was too skinny. The grass was greenish, but still a tint of yellow in it. It wasn't too hot or too cold. Where Nande was, it was a bit cold. He'd have to move her towards this area. He stood there thinking for a bit. There was a nice bit of rocks close together that made an excellent shelter. something like a cave, but one would have to find something to cover the top so they wouldn't get wet if it rained. There were a few trees here and there. Enough space to where if he had to run in chasing others off, he'd know he wouldn't accidentally miscalculate and hit a tree.

"Hmmmm." He said studying the land farther, then nodding his head. His ears were back like normal, but not in any threatening way. He just thought it made him look mean far away. Though, it helped a lot more that he had bone accessories all over. A necklace, two front bracelets, then two around his long thick tail. They were more then just something to scare others. They were of smaller creatures he had killed and kept bits of them as a bit of a pride for hunting. The wind had a nice breeze to it, which helped a bit with the sun continuing to blaze down on him.

He finally sat down and curled his tail around his legs as he was now satisfied with what he was going to do. Yes, perfect place. He continued to scan, just in case he missed something. Now all he had to do was get other's to join. Though, that'd be the hard part. Thona wasn't exactly what other's would call the best type of guy to run into. He didn't have the type of creature skills as many of them. Though, he was glad he didn't. Those who talked too much where to him overly annoying. He'd just have to find other's he influenced, or other's who were just like him. Shouldn't be too hard.... right?

Murdoc walked threw the slightly yellow glass, mismatched eyes smirking at the ground as he walked. A large, fat hare hung from his mouth. He'd been lucky enough to catch it, and it was just the right size to be a nice meal for the thin cheetah.

He was thin, dirty, mangy, and not at all attractive. However, even though he seemed a bit unhealthy, he had the aura of someone that didn't take grief from people very easily. He could hold his own, and if he couldn't... well, he could run fast at least.

He lounged up into a tree and settled down on a low branch to indulge in the meat, tail flicking here and there contently. He didn't attempt to hide from view, since it wouldn't take long to chomp down the hare.

Thona stood up, finally. Sure the area was just perfect for his future plans. Slowly making his way east, or what he thought was east. Thona thought he had a pretty good idea of direction. He flicked his tail as he walked, making a bit of noise. He felt like not running into anyone at the moment. His mood not really fowl, but not very social either.

His ear's tilted back, as always. Giving him an irritated look upon his face, even though he really wasn't. He wore a glare upon it as well. Good for keeping those away who might think he would attack them. Though, that was always fun to do, today he just didn't feel like it. Too much energy on such a warm day.

As he walked, something caught his eye up in a tree. He stopped to take another look. Odd... It was a cheetah up in a tree. Not something one would see too often. He heard that cheetah's couldn't climb trees, but didn't mean all cheetah's couldn't He raised a brown and started towards him. Not caring that the other was eating. He was a good subject to try to see how one would persuade another into a pride.

"A cheetah in a tree, now that you don't see every day." He simply said.

Murdoc licked the flesh off of the bones, a bit of red smeared across his maw. He didn't notice the other male at first, though his ears twitched as well when the leopard got close. He frowned, instantly getting possessive of his meal. Mismatched eyed turned to examine the head of bright green sticking out of the grass.

"Yeah, well... Helps keep people away while I'm eating." Perhaps a hint that he really didn't want to be bothered... And if he didn't leave, he continued. "What the hell do you want?" He said gruffly, his mouth licking still at the fresh meat.

Thona finally saw he was eating. Just shrugging it off, it wasn't something he didn't care about. "Well, perhaps a tree wouldn't be your best choice. Especially around here." He said rudely. Having seen a few leopards around. But whatever made the other feel comfortable he supposed. Again he shrugged. Wanting to be rather rude, but He had to try to be good and see if he could get more creatures.

"I'll keep it simple." He started. "I'm looking for others, who.... Might want to join a type of pride." He paused. "A pride that would, I don't know, beat up weak and worthless creatures that don't deserve to live." He said Straight up. "Can't really say you'd be the type to do that, but with snappy attitude you got is a good quality." He was getting bored with convincing.

Murdoc blinked, clearly taken aback by the rather sudden offer. "...What?" The leopard couldn't be serious... right? He'd never really been with... anyone. Other than his father, when he was a cub. The odd cat thought it was good that he was a jerk? How odd. Then again... he was intrigued.

"Yeah?" He went on after a moment, his voice deep and rough. "A band of bullies, eh? Interesting." The cheetah seemed to think about it for a few moments, eying Thona as he licked at his meal. "I might be interested, I suppose... what would I get out of it, though?"

Wasn't it obvious? He'd get what any bully would want. The chance to beat up anyone he wanted. And if he needed, he'd have back up to help. Thona just shrugged for a moment. "Just think about it for a moment. A band of bullies, no one is safe. Eventually, maybe even take over the savanna." He said. "I care not what happens to anyone in the area, as long as they don't fight with each other."

"Bullies all have to stick together, right?" He flicked his tail and took a step back a bit to give the other male more space. Thona wasn't really one to invade other's space too often. Unless he wanted something from them. "And of course, the other thing is everyone would have to listen to me." He added "But not like I'm going to force anyone to do anything but harm the innocent." He shrugged.

The cheetah flicked his tail slightly, eyeing the leopard. He had to admit, the idea was interesting to him... Being able to rule the savannah and do whatever he wanted. The idea made his ears perk, and made him smirk slightly.

"That sounds... nice... Though I'd have to listen to you, eh? What if I don't want to?" He stood then and hopped down from his perch, leaving his meal where it was. He was being bold, that was for sure... Perhaps even stupid. But if he was going to except this male as his alpha, he had to make sure he was strong enough to lead him. If he could beat him, then there was no use following him!

His claws kneaded the ground, eyeing him. "Prove to me that you got what it takes."

Thona rolled his eyes. Being threatened by a pathetic and nasty male cheetah was something he could easily avoid. But getting more pride members was a top priority for the moment. "If you insist me beating the s**t out of you." He spoke. "Unless you don't play fair and run like the rest of the pathetic cheetahs around here. Afraid of a little blood" He eyed the other. He wasn't going to straight up attack the other, no, it was the other who was to make the first move.

Thona's muscles flexed a little. He didn't even look down at the other's paws. He already knew he was kneading the dirt. It was what Thona did to frighten others. It worked well, unless you, yourself was use to it. Instead, Thona looked the other straight in the eyes, with a threatening look.

The much smaller and thinner cheetah started to pace back and forth, mismatched eyes intently watching the leopard. He didn't attack, only analyzed.

To be honest... Murdoc was a horrible fighter. He never attacked anyone larger than him. He was more into mental and emotional fighting. Nothing like sending someone running off crying because of a broken heart rather than a sliced face.

So he just watched, his mismatched eyes scanning over the leopard. He watched the flexing, and the way the claws kneaded the ground... It was all rather impressive. Then he sat down, quite suddenly.

"Nice. You obviously look like you can hold your own." Well, he'd never said he wanted to fight! Just that Thona should prove it. And apparently Murdoc had found him strong and intimdating enough that he'd be able to protect him, if it was needed.

So it seemed the other didn't care for a fight. What a shame, he would have enjoyed beating the crap out of that cheetah. They look so fragile, maybe that was the reason they could run so fast, they were built like birds perhaps? "One has to hold himself when King of a pride. Never can know when someone might try to de-throne you." He told the other. Though, that wasn't much of a problem, yet.

He'd make sure everyone would listen to him, even if it meant killing anyone who disobeyed. It wouldn't be much of a problem to him at all. As long as it got everyone else listening in fear of him might killing them if they didn't. He flicked his tail and watched the other carefully. "So, whats the word then Cheetah."

Murdoc nodded a little musingly. After a few moments of consideration, he let out a grunt and stood again. His long tail twitched around his long legs.

"Yeah... sure. I'll join. But you won't be pestering me a lot. I'm not going to be anyone's dog, understand?" He eyed him with a slight scowl, mis-matched eyes narrowed.

"Other than that... Sure. Guess I can work with ya."

Thona shrugged. "You wouldn't be the type to do any of my dirty work." he spoke. More his agreeing to the males demands. He wasn't really someone who looked good in fights. Cheetahs always looked as if they'd break if a lion or leopard smacked them around a bit. Perhaps that's why they were fast. "I was more seeing you as a scout of some sort. Your speed seems something that might be useful." He spoke.

"Stick around this area, for it's where the pride will be." He told him so he at least knew where the pride would be. He flicked his tail and turned away from the cheetah. His job was done here. Or that's how he felt anyways. There was no reason for him to linger here.
