The orange female had not expected the words her mother had uttered. Not in a million years, and even less with the conversation they had been havin before the idea was voiced.
She wagged her tail, walking with her head held high through the forest lands as she looked for Gren.
She wanted to speak to him, since he was oneof her best friends, it made sense that she ran to him.
She hadnt been able to find Chocolate since their last encounter, and she knew he needed a break from her for awhile.
So happily prancing through the grassy lands that contained rocks and small animals, which darted as she passed.
She lifted her head, knowing one way to find the male.
Giving a long, happy howl she called to him.
She was overjoyed. She wanted to celebrate, party a little..
She wanted to be free tonight.

Light paws paused as the distant sound vibrated through the air, forcing his ears forward. There was something in that note, a distant joy he could sense as the creature stood stock still, listening silently. There was nothing mournful about it. It sounded excited, elated for some reason the male figured he'd so find out, considering it was he who was being summoned. Gren, since their last parting, had lingered outside of the pack lands, not venturing in unless called upon, still not wishing to trespass on territory he was no familiar with. It was not his desire to join the pack, so he did not linger. But whenever he was called, he would venture back in without hesitation, not minding whom he might run into on the course to his destination.
Trotting forward, his lean body carried him swiftly. Black silky fur rippled with his gliding muscle, while silvery eyes darted through the woods, searching for Shezaam's scent.
It wasn't long before his eyes spotted the uniquely colored female. His paws slowed, carrying him easily while his tail lifted in a silent joy at their reunion. The female had become one of his greatest friends, of course he was elated to see her. Her expression added to their tender gathering.
"It's good to see you again, Shezaam," he murmured gently, looking upon her, wondering curiously what news she had for him.

She heard the pawfalls of the bigger wolf, and knew instinctively that he was answering her call. He always seemed to answer her howls these days. Never once had her call gone unanswered, and she wondered just where he was staying, in order to always be able to hear her..Though her voice could carry, she always figured it would take longer.
Her tail was wagging when she saw Gren, and she raced to him, nuzzling his muzzle and whining with excitement.
"Oh Gren! You'll never guess!"
She said, her voice sounding elated and happy. The first time the female had ever been so happy.
Giving him a lick on the muzzle, she leaned into him and sighed deeply.
"Mother actually spoke to me today.. She offered me Alpha for a day.. It doesnt change the way I feel, but hot damn if its not a happy thing."
She said with a grin.

He grinned at the greeting, nuzzling back while his tail gave a few short wags. He was thankful to see her joyous attitude, a contrast to the flitting gloomy atmosphere the pack hung over her head. But it seemed this day, her pack had shown in her favor. He looked her in the eyes curiously, interested in seeing what had her so elated.
For the moment, he allowed her the connection. Looking down at the slightly smaller female, he let her lean against him, enjoying her light heartedness. It was a youthful exuberance that reminded him of himself not to long before. Shezaam was filled with life, a thing he craved.
"Really? That's impressive," he commented, looking interested as she explained herself. If her mother was honestly allowing her to control the pack, even for a day, perhaps this was her chance to prove herself to her mother and those under her. It may even improve upon her rank, if she so wish it.
"I'm glad for you. You'll have the chance to show them what's for." He grinned, almost smirking.

Shezaams tail thump thump thumped against the floor, and she smiled, looking back at him.
"Oh Gren, I dont want the position, but that fact that she even offered it!"
She said with a sigh. It was a sign her mother saw her as more than pack fodder, which is what she'd always thought herself to be.
She looked into Grens eyes, she was happy for the first time,and she couldnt contol herself, lowering her chest to the floor, and bringing her rear up, she wagged her tail again.
"Come catch me.."
She said with a seductive whisper which was innocent, yet calling.
"If you can."
And she darted into the trees, with a giggle.

"I'm glad for you," he muttered, grinning, glad for her own excitement. Grencia hadn't seen Shezaam this festive since their first meeting when she had shown him her hide away deep within Aqua Azul. And perhaps this was the first time he had ever seen her at this level of playfulness. His tail wagged to meet her's.
Turning his head, cocking it to the side like a confused puppy, he lifted his brows, watching her sudden spring into action. The tone in her voice, the sway of her hips, she reminded him once more of his youth not so long ago. But in those days, he was in her position.
How could he deny her?
Giving a smirk, he instantly sprang to his paws, flagging his tail in the air as he ran into the wood. Black fur melded into the green of the forest. "Oh I will," he answered. His silver eyes darted about, locking on the female's form.

She giggled, bounding away from him, before dodging behind a rather large bush. She kept very still, watching him closely, and her tail almost writhed from teh inability to wag it in her fun.
She almost giggled, giving away her position, but as he caught up,she jumped out, pushing him backwards with her paws, and landing on top ofg him in a sort of pounce.
"GOTCHA."
She said, with a smile from ear to ear.
Her tail wagged like it was on its own motor.
But she looked down into Grens eyes, and her smile softened to that of kindness. She lowered her muzzle, licking his cheek gently.
She felt great love for this male..Be it friendship or actually love,she wasnt sure..But she didnt know that she wanted to wait to find out either.

Gren had slowed as he had come to the bush the lovely female hid behind. Of course he realized she was there, his senses sharp, but he wouldn't let her know that. Smirking inwardly, he started to trot by until unexpected paws launched out at him, rolling him onto the ground with the she-wolf following closely.
With paws against his chest and a firm back nestled in the foliage of the forest, he blinked up to the female, his silver eyes once more curious and intrigued. This whole encounter was both new and old to him. He had seen it before, but through different eyes...a different time, a different place. Somehow, his heart felt for once at ease.
Her lick came as a surprise. Jolting his head back, he stared up at her still, unsure how to respond further. Of course he wasn't sure how to read it either. Blatantly telling her women weren't really his thing would have been odd in a situation where she was only expressing their friendship. This simple act left him befuddled.
But that didn't mean he wasn't male and couldn't respond. Without thought he reached back up, responding with his own lick against her cheek.

She could have gone with a wolf who wasnt even interested in girls even from a male persepective, and she wouldnt have cared.
She was enjoying herself, and she felt free.. She couldnt help herself anymore, she was entirely out of control with a sense of happiness.
She always seemed to be the hyper one, but as an adult, she had merely become the spaz when excited..Or she was sure it was seen that way.
Wagging her tail, her eyes smiled as she leapt up from him, lowered her chest to the ground, lifted her tail in the air and smiled.
"Come play with me.."
She said, her voice low and seductive..but in a teasing way..But she was in no mood for teasing.

The male watched her perpetually, observing her behavior with interested eyes that glazed with perplexity shining there. As she sprang away from him, Gren raised up a little, observing her playful attitude that was fueled with joy and relief. He wondered if it was her mother's words alone that had helped her to this point.
But what was most curious about her behavior was what was hidden beneath her playfulness. He could hear the seduction in her tone, but identifying it for what it was proved to be difficult for the male who hardly remembered a time when this was encountered. In fact, he didn't ever remember a time when it wasn't him who was behaving playfully toward another.
Finally he responded, springing onto his paws without effort, flinging up to n** her on the ear. "You wanna play, you're going to have to catch me first, my fairy," he murmured against her ear before, prancing off, almost skipping in his step.

When he whispered in her ears, her heart thumped loudly, and she bolted up, chasing him almost in an instant. She wasnt even sure how she knew to run when she did..But she was up and moving in a heartbeat.
She'd catch him, that was almost a given. She wanted nothing more than to catch him, because with him caught, it meant that for a moment he was hers.
"Oh I shall!"
She said, bouncing and grabbing his tail her jaws gently. Her eyes dared him to run with his tail in her mouth, and she repositioned her mouth so that if he ran, she wouldnt drop it.
"Do eet."
She said with a muffled giggle.

He paused as his tail was grabbed and immediately turned his head round to stare at her, looking to see what had taken hold. Her gentle fangs held him perfectly. For that second he wasn't quite sure of moving would be appropriate, but he was feeling feisty and wanted to test her willingness to follow through with her words.
"You asked for it."
Without another word he took off again, yanking her along (and his tail), and grinned despite the initial pain. How would she respond to this, he wondered.

She let go, before she ripped the skin right off his tail revealing a long bony appendage. She smiled, wagging her tail and bolted after him.
"Hey!"
She giggled as she ran, loving the feel of the wind in her fur.
But she caught up rather quickly, and nudged his side before slowing, and then eventually stopping alltogether.
She was standing, her tail wagging, her ears and head perked.
She was excited..for something yet she wasnt sure what this feeling deep in her chest was.
She had never experienced lust before..

While she had never experienced it before, he hadn't had the sensation kindle in his blood for quite some time, and was a feeling he thought would forever be dormant. Had he thought about the situation he perhaps might have made it stay that way. Regardless, lust was something that tore away common since and replaced one's usually intelligent responses with something less than reputable.
Looking back at her, seeing that expression, his body burned. Gren wanted to understand it, or more like, he wanted to forget what loneliness was. His ears perked forward while a sly grin cross his lean muzzle, giving him a coy expression.
"Yes, Shezaam?" he asked, murmuring the words instead of speaking aloud. It was a different tone than he usually used.

Oh great, what a time for her thoughts to run together and make themselves completely incapable of being spoken.
"Gren I..."
How was she going to say this? How would he take it? She wasnt looking for commitment, she wasnt looking for love..But she was feeling lust for her best friend, and she wanted a little comforting from him..
She loved him asafriend, and he meant the world to her.. She knew that she did not love Gren romantically, but god did that pelt look so nice against his muscles..
She smiled, giving a wink.
