User Image Siti had spent the majority of the day wandering, she was feeling a bit curious and a little adventurous today. She had chatted with a tortoise and asked him where she could find a drink. He told her she just had to go to the other side of the grass forest. There was a path and Siti followed it, but unfortunately the path became smaller and smaller until there really wasnt a path to follow. Siti figured she had probably made it at least half way so she decided to continue on.

That is exactly why Siti at the current moment was utterly lost. She had eventually found another path but the paths kept branching and now she was at the end of a path that turned into three. She had not idea which path to pick and she was worried about becoming more lost.

Siti wished she could at least find a tree to climb, so that maybe she could find the path that lead out of the forest of grass. "Why did I listen to that tortoise. I will never get out of here at this rate."

Eyal stretched, feeling the sun on his golden pelt. His mane is wet from where he'd decided to take a bath in a small lake. The lion had decided to travel again after just having mated with another female.

Since no one was around he'd rolled in the long grasses. A long while later he comes across a female standing on a path. He's in the middle of two of them and stares at her, tilting his head curiously. The poor thing looked plain lost. Little does he know but he's got soft yellow flowers in his mane from when he rolled.

He could just ignore but... He sighed and approached her. "Hello." He says, his voice rough and deep. "You appear lost." He voiced obviously but then again he could be wrong. She could be waiting. He noted pattern and what appeared to be olive eyes. She certainly was an interesting lioness.

Siti was startled by the male who seemingly appeared in front of her. She was so worried about which path she should choose she had not even noticed him. However, the fright did not last more than a few seconds and was quickly replaced with joy.

"Hello," she said in her soft, quiet voice. "I am rather lost. The tortoise said there was a watering hole on the other side of the grass, but the path cut off and then picked up, then branched off and I have not idea where I am."

Siti looked to the male in front of him, he fur was slightly wet and he had flowers in his hair. She hoped that the wet mane meant he knew how to get the the watering hole, or at least get her to a tree. At least then she could climb up and see for herself.

"Maybe you could tell me where I am?" She looked at him really hoping he could help her, before realizing she was being a bit rude and quickly introduced herself.

"Oh I am Nabila Siti. It nice to meet you."

He stared at her blankly for a moment. Hadn't he just come from a watering hole. He'd have to lead her all the way back there? Damn it. He sighed and nodded. "Ah tortoises often leave out steps or forget to mention that paths end." He turns, glancing at her. "I can take you to the watering hole. I know where it is. I came from there."

He hesitates. "I don't know this area well. I'm simply passing through. My name is Eyal. I am Warrior Chief of the En Gedi Pride. It is nice to meet you as well." He responds with a dip of his head before starting to walk.

Siti practically jumped for joy at the mention of the male being able to free her from the grass jungle. "Thanks you so much, you came about just in time."

Siti was glad to have met this passerby and smiled when he introduced himseld. 'Eyal', she thought. It was a very nice name and Siti thought to tell him so, but instead her ears perked up at the mention of a pride. Siti was always looking to know more about the prides of the lands as she sought to join one.

"En Gedi, huh? Where is that at? What is it like," Siti asked eagerly wanting to here more about the pride Eyal belonged to.

Eyal just nodded. He wasn't a talkative lion if he didn't have to be. His red mane pratically glowed in the sunlight as he started to lead the female. "Where do you live that you do not know the local watering hole?" He asked, unsure if her pride was traveling or if she was merely a lost rouge.

One of his ears twitched in her direction and he smirked. This was obviously a favorite topic if you wanted to get him to speak. "It is toward the setting sun. Five full moons from this point. It is a jungle like land with lots of water and the ruins of humans. Fear not for they no longer live there. We are a pride of strong and powerful Warriors." He boasted proudly.

Siti followed Eyal and felt slightly embarassed about getting lost. She was glad it was simply the tortoise bad direction. "I am traveling around. I'm on a journey to find a pride to settle into. You know to find a mate and raise cubs in."

Siti's interest was peaked at the mention of a jungle, that meant lots of trees. She could climb and spend plently on time in the tree. And ruins as well, it seemed like a wonderful place to explore. 'Warriors?', she thought. She was not really the warrior type, but that did not stop her desire to visit the land.

"Your home sounds wonderful. I love tree and ruins would be fun for exploring. Are the members allowed to wander or must they stay with the pride. What are the other pride member like?"

Siti hoped that she was not being to forward or nosey in asking so many questions, but she was always looking to learn more about the prides of the lands and find the perfect pride for herself.

The male glanced over his shoulder at her. He smirked proudly. "It does have a lot of places to climb and to explore. It is an interesting land. Large with waterfalls." He responds pausing to shake his mane. A flower falls out and he growls, shaking hard to remove them. Now it was his turn to look embarrassed though he pretended as though he meant it and keeps going.

"The members are varying. Our King is Rotem a wise and powerful leader... if not a bit inattentive when it comes to fighting." He shook his head but there was a wistful look in his eyes. He was missing Rotem terribly. "A few cubs who think they're older then what they are... Its a friendly pride to say the least. Everyone is fairly welcoming especially to totems. Our guides. Such as the bird and the garnet. They are your inner spirit."

Siti eyes lit up at the prospect of places to climb and explore. It was something she greatly enjoyed doing, she could really past the time away exploring when she finally found a pride and finally settled down. She gave a small giggle as Eyal growl and shook the flowers from his mane. Siti thought it was cute, but kept it to herself.

She thought on his words as he told her about his pride. Rotem sounded like a bit on a conundrum, but it seemed there was more to his story than Siti was getting. She thought of the cubs, and how they would amuse her and maybe that she could teach the to climb and ht. The totems seemed very interesting, she wondered how someone aquired a totem."

"I really like you pride it seems very nice. I have been looking for a pride for a while now and your is quickly sounding more and more like the right one for me. Are outsiders welcome into the pride? How do you aquire a totem? Do you like it there?"

Siti could not help but bombard Eyal with questions but Siti wanted to hear more about the pride. She wanted to join. Something was telling her it was the right pride for her. It just felt right. She really hoped Eyal answer was the outsiders would be welcome warmly.

The male nodded sagely. "Does it? We welcome most outsiders if they show good intent. If you wish to journey to see it, it is a good and kind pride. A totem?" He chuckled slightly. "You and your Totem find each other. For example it may rescue you in a time of need or you may simply feel a bond. My totem saved my life. I was exhausted and very ill and she brought me water."

He gained a wistful look. "My Lady, I would sooner die then serve another pride and another king." The normally quiet lion was eager to talk to her about his pride. To get more members and to save its bloodline.

Siti smiled she would very much love to see the lands and meet the pride, Siti loved meeting just about anyone. So far she had not come across anyone who wanted to harm her so she was very happy to stop and chat with others.

"What do your pride member look like? I'm sure they all must have coats as nice as yours. Do you think I would fit in?"

Siti thought she might not fit in because she did not look like most of the other lions she had met thus far, but she like be unique, she thought it made her special. It sounded to Siti, like Eyal was very loyal to his pride and she was glad for that.

"Is your pride a large pride or a small pride?"

Siti looked around, still seeing tall grasses about her and wondered when they would make it to the watering hole. It seemed odd to Siti that for someone who lived so far, Eyal seemed to know the land here.

He was about to ask what she meant by 'look like' until she asked if she'd fit in. Ah, that explained it. He supposed there were SOME limits in prides. His own considered unnatural colored lions an abomination. He paused and glanced back at her, staring hard. "You're coat is fine. We do not accept those with... odd colored coats such as blue or green or things that are not found in nature. Yours is a redish brown. Perfectly acceptable like the bark of a tree."

He chuckles slightly. "We are fairly small. However, we are growing. I'm seeking to have cubs to take to the pride." They weren't far from the waterhole. In fact they had just come across the flowers that had recently decorated the male's mane.

"Its just across this grass." He informs.

Siti did not like the fact that you could be rejected because of the color of your pelt, but otherwise the pride seemed very nice.

Siti smiled, "sometimes a small pride is nice, but more makes it easier to defend against outsiders with bad intentions."

Siti was glad to her they were almost to the watering hole, "I am glad we are almost there I am rather thristy."

She thought it nice that she would fit in, her coat being naturally colored, but she couldn't help but ask. "Why do you not accept odd colored coats? I think they are rather beautiful and so unique. And what do you mean by have cubs to take to the pride?"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 14, 2008 4:05 pm

"It is... Though I worry our bloodline will run thin." He responds putting his ears back. He nodded back to her. "Not far at all." The golden male led her on past the flowers and to the watering hole. He bowed his head toward it and walked over, dropping down in the shade of a tree.

"Why? Because they are not natural. They surely are the mark of something... wrong. It is not my decision it is the Pride's." He licks his paw and glances over at her tiredly. "Our bloodlines... I fear they will disappear so I am bringing fresh blood to the pride by mating with females. If they do not want the cubs then I will take them with me to raise for the pride."

"I can understand your worry about your bloodline. I do not even know anything about mine, being a rogue and all."

Siti followed past the flowers and headed over to the watering hole as soon as she saw it, dropping down and bowing her head for a drink. However, she lifted her head at Eyals comment about others with odd coat colors being the mark of something wrong. The comment did not sit well, grating on her nerves slightly. She thought it was sad the pride thought that and was happy to let the conversation simply drop for Eyal seemed nice enough and she was grateful he helped her out of the grass.

"Seems an odd way to expand your pride and also kind of wrong, but to each his own. Have you been successful in you quest thus far?"
