"Somehow this is your fault. I know it." Sunstreaker growled, glaring at his brother.
"How do ya figure that?" Sideswipe protested, holding his hand up. "I didn't do anything." He spotted something out of the corner of his eye and instinctively turned to pull out his gun and shoot it. However, he simply ended up spinning around and pointing at nothing. Right. No weapons.
"That was your tail, Sides," the yellow twin pointed out, his voice softening slightly.
"Right. Tail." Just one of the many things that changed. Most of it was things they lost. Com-links, weapons, everything they had in subspace, access to any technology, armor, everything. The only Cybertronian thing that survived was the bond and thank Primus it did. Neither twin wanted to think about what they would have done if the bond had disappeared as well.
"When I get my hands on Wheeljack, I'm gonna rip his arms off and beat him to death with them," Sunstreaker exclaimed, eye twitching.
Because it was thanks to the crazy inventor that they were like this. However, in Sunstreaker's opinion, it was Sideswipe's fault too. If he wasn't so extremely ADD, then they wouldn't even have been in Wheeljack's lab messing with things. But whatever Sides had been playing with was apparently volatile, like just about everything else in there. It had exploded, the twins had been caught in it. When they came to, they were... like this. And Prowl had told them they had to go to that weird shop where they'd be safe. So they weren't even allowed to go beat up on some Decepticons to take out their aggression. And someone had had the nerve to buy them!
"It's not so bad," a soft voice opined. The twins both whirled around and crouched, taking defensive stances. However, they needed not worry, since the person in the doorway was...
"Are you an angel?" Sideswipe asked, standing up again.
/How do you know about angels, Sides?/ Sunstreaker asked over the bond.
/Christmas. It was an angel on the Christmas tree. Looked a lot like him, only... happier./ Sideswipe replied, sending an image of the aforementioned tree to his brother.
"Yes, I am," Elijah smiled and stepped into the room. "Welcome to The House."
"The House?"
"Yes, this is Plushi's house," Elijah laughed and settled down in his favorite chair. "She is the one who adopted you."
"Bought us, you mean," Sunstreaker spat, settling down on the floor.
"She adopts us. It's going to cost her a lot more to take care of us than you can imagine." Elijah scolded softly. "When she adopts any Anthro, she has to pay a fee, yes, but she also has to sign a contract saying she will take care of us."
"So how many are here?" Sideswipe asked, trying to diffuse the tension.
"Anthros?"
"What are Anthros?" Sides wondered as he sat down next to his brother, easily accepting the extra weight as Sunstreaker leaned on him.
"We are," Elijah gestured between himself and the twins. "And there are... maybe nine or ten."
"Really?" Of course Sideswipe was happy. He had always been the more social of the twins.
"Yes. Myself and my other half, Leon. Cy and Terror, Aruna and Kayin and Vengence lives in the basement. And you two, of course."
"Any rules we need to know about?"
"Forget that, who's in charge here?"
Elijah laughed as the twins glared at each other. "No real rules, except the obvious. Don't trash the house, don't kill each other, don't leave blood or fluids around the house. Plushi is technically in charge. Her other half, Loki, is right under her. For the Anthros specifically, no one is in charge. Aruna's just a baby and Kayin's not much older. Vengeance is completely anti-social. Cy is strange and only a bit social. Terror came just a little before you did, so I don't know him."
"And your 'other half'?" Sunstreaker questioned as Elijah stood up and made his way towards one of the other rooms.
"You remind me of him," Elijah said softly as he left.
"That was different," Sideswipe commented.

Sunday, August 31th
Sunstreaker sighed. "This is boring," he muttered, laying back on the porch.
"If you say so, bro," Sideswipe opined, flopping down as well. "I think it's interesting."
"Well, you're strange," Sunny said, inching closer to his brother.
Sideswipe smiled to himself. Although they fought like dogs, they were closer than anyone would expect, save perhaps Jazz (who was observant like that) and Ratchet (who had seen then whenever one of them was hurt). They were closer than any of these organics - Anthros, he reminded himself - would know. Well, maybe the angel and his demon. Sideswipe shook his head and moved over to his brother, letting Sunny rest his head on Sides' shoulder. "Yes, but we're stuck here for now, so we might as well make the best of it. After all, it could be worse."
"It could?" Sunny asked, snuggling into his brother's side. He would never actually ask for comfort, but Sides always knew. That was their relationship in a nutshell. Neither had to say anything, they just always knew.
"Well, there could be Decepticons here."
"I'd prefer that," Sunny shrugged, careful not to dislodge himself from his brother's shoulder.
"You'd prefer if the Decepticons were threatening these Anthros?"
"You know that's not what I meant," Sunny frowned.
"I know, Sunny. We were made for action, so this peaceful setting is messing with our heads."
"Yeah," Sunstreaker sighed and wrapped an arm around Sideswipe's waist.
"Maybe we can find someone to play with," Sideswipe smirked, snaking an arm around his twin's shoulders.
"Sounds good to me."

Monday, September 1st
"I don't see what's so great about this Anthro thing," Sunstreaker complained, sprawling out on the sunny part of the back deck.
Neither did Sideswipe, really, but there had to be something to it. The youngling, Kayin, was always following their provider around. So was said provider's cat, come to think of it. There had to be something to this cat thing. But maybe... Sideswipe remembered watching their provider and her feline interacting. Looking at Sunstreaker, Sides mentally shrugged and ignored his common sense (which was a pretty normal occurance). So he reached over and scratched behind Sunstreaker's ears.
"Sides, wha..." Sunstreaker trailed off, eyes falling halfway closed. That felt so good.
"Heh, I think that's a part of the appeal right there," Sideswipe smiled, moving closer to his twin.
Sunstreaker couldn't help himself. He rested his head on his brother's leg and started to involuntarily making some sort of strange noise he'd never heard before. But he couldn't bring himself to care.
"Sunny, you're purring," the red twin laughed, scratching through his brother's hair before going back to his ears.
"'m I?" the yellow cat muttered, eyes falling closed. "Feels good."
"I can see that." Sunstreaker hadn't even admonished him for the use of his much-hated nickname. It had to feel sinfully good if he was falling asleep out here in the open. And as bad as it felt to even consider it, maybe this organic change was a good thing. After all, Sunstreaker had never been this open when he was a mech. And Sideswipe loved to see his beloved brother like this, carefree, happy and enjoying his life.

"Do you miss them?" Sideswipe wondered, from his favorite spot in the universe. Him and his twin were curled on the couch (not the rec room couch, the one in their new home, the one they'd asked for in their room) with Sunstreaker laying behind him, offering silent support and unconditional love. They both had the bond wide open and were just enjoying being together as one.
"Miss who, Sides?" That was a true sign of how at ease the golden twin was that the nickname slipped out.
"The others." Sideswipe watched the picture that was hanging on the wall opposite their couch. It was pretty and it moved, the water moved and it made a very relaxing sound.
"Some of them," the yellow twin admitted. "Not the minibots."
Sideswipe laughed. "No, I can't imagine that you'd miss them. Who do you miss?"
Sunstreaker was silent for a moment, thinking. He wasn't the most social Autobot ever, but there were a few of the others that he got along with. "Jazz. Mirage. Tracks. Ironhide, Ratchet."
"You miss Ratchet the Hatchet?" the red twin laughed.
"So do you, Sides."
"More than anything," he admitted softly. "I miss hearing him yell at us and threaten to turn us into toasters or hairdryers or other stupid appliances."
"That's why we have to be careful." Sunstreaker pointed out.
"Yeah. Organic bodies can't get replacement parts like Cybertronians."
"I hadn't really thought of it before this happened. But now I dislike organics more than before."
"Zomg, I hadn't thought it possible," Sideswipe laughed, snuggling into his brother's shoulder.
"Shush, stupid," Sunstreaker admonished, but he had a playful tone in his voice. "And stop picking up internet terms."
"Make me," Sides challenged, eyes slipping closed. It was so warm and comfy and everything felt good...

Tuesday, September 9th
Sunstreaker stood on the porch, leaning against one of the banisters. He glanced over his shoulder as his brother came out to join him.
Sideswipe smiled softly and stepped up to his twin, wrapping his arms around the yellow Lamborghini's cat's waist, resting his chin on Sunny's left shoulder.
Sunstreaker lay his arms on top of his brother's and leaded back. "It's raining," he pointed out, watching said rain.
"Yeah. This rain isn't acidic, though."
"We've known that for a while now."
"But as organics, this rain isn't harmful to us at all."
"Really?"
"Yup. Well, it may make us sick if we're out in the rain too long, but that's all."
"Are you trying to say that you want to go play in the rain, Sides?"
"Only if you'll play with me, bro."

Tuesday, September 23rd
"Wake up, Sunny!" Sideswipe bounced lightly on the end of the bottom bunk, where his brother was sleeping. Trying to sleep anyway.
"Go 'way, Sides," Sunstreaker muttered, pulling the blanket up over his head.
"No, come on, wake up! It's our creation day and our provider said she'd do something special for us!"
Sunstreaker groaned and did the only thing he could think of to try and save himself. He pushed Sideswipe off the bed.
"Oof! Hey, that's not cool. Come on, this is gonna be sweet!" When he couldn't seem to rouse his brother, Sides pouted. "Fine, I'm gonna go see what's going on then." He flounced out of the room and down the hallways to the kitchen. "Cool!" he exclaimed, looking at all the balloons and streamers and crazy decorations that adorned the normally bland room.
"If you say so," came a sullen reply from the bar area.
"Leon, at least be polite." Elijah scolded, stacking things on various counters. "Thank you, Sideswipe. I rather like it like this."
"It's awesome. You did a good job, 'Lijah."
"Thank you," Elijah blushed, opening bags of chips. "It is for you and your other half as well as Plushi."
"Neat. Her creation day is the same as ours?" Sides wondered, sitting down beside the almost-comatose Leon.
"The day before yours. But it is easier to throw one large party than two seperate ones."
"Why am I awake?" Leon complained suddenly, giving the angel a sleepy glare.
"You don't have to be." Elijah said gently. "You can go back to bed."
"...I'll be in our room. Disturb me and die a painful death." Leon muttered, dragging himself out of the kitchen and down the hallway.
"Why was he awake if he's so grumpy?" Sideswipe wondered, watching the demon wander away.
"This morning, it was an accident. I woke him up trying to get out of bed, since I fell asleep against the wall." Elijah explained, glancing up at the former warrior. "Why do you always ask so many questions?"
"I'm a cat," the red twin grinned at the angel. "Cats are supposed to be curious, aren't they?"
"True," conceded Elijah, laughing.
"So, what can I do to help?" asked Sides, sliding off the barstool. The angel sounded good when he laughed, the former-Lamborghini decided.
