Okay, sorry it took me so long to write a review, and since the show was over 24 hours ago, I'm going to just cover the cool parts. I didn't have floor tickets by the way. D:

Alright, lets see, there was an opening band called Hella, they totally sucked. Couldn't understand what they were saying and basically were beating on stuff like mad.
Opening band - The Mars Volta, these guys were okay, they had some really cool music, though it was hard to understand what they were saying. The lead singer was cool, a skinny guy in a suit with poofy hair, he was a really good dancer too. XD
The music was okay, but the last song was 35 minutes long. D:
Then the lights went from bright to none at all instantly. Everyone stood up and we all screamed our heads off. XD
You see a big shadow of Daron with his mic and guitar, if you looked closely, you could see him through the giant "Mezmerize" backdrop. He was singing Soldier Side, obviously for the opening. After that, the backdrop fell, revealing the whole band, they were wearing the clothes they wore in the photoshoots (Serj's coat = <3). They played B.Y.O.B. and Revenga. Then they took their jackets and stuff off, They had to have been hot.
I think most of their upbeat songs were played even faster, we were such an energetic crowd, and everyone was singing the lyrics with the band. Serj's voice seemed a lot higher than it normally is though.
Basically, there were lots of flashy lights and stuff. It was really cool.
The atmosphere was great, everyone was in a great mood, dancing, singing, headbanging, screaming. There were a LOT of people smoking weed though, I smelled like it until I showered the next day. By the way, I'm against drugs. Someone offered my cousin a joint, t'was funny. XD
Hmm. Some cool things during the show.
Shavo was wearing his yellow socks.
During one of the songs, Shavo stopped playing altogether to have a smoke and drench his head in water. XD
In one of the songs, Shavo climbed up onto a huge speaker, probably around 20 feet high. He crouched down and started playing, then he must of realized that the people where I was sitting/standing were in a bright light... a light coming from his bass. I dunno if they meant to do this, but Shavo used one of the lights to reflect it off into the crowd and stuff, it was awesome. There was a guy hugging the speaker in the crowd, and Shavo reached down and gave him a high-five. X3
During Lost in Hollywood, whenever they said Hollywood or Hackensack, they replaced that with "Hockeytown" a.k.a. Detroit. >D
Something very cool and unique:
During Sultans of Swing-
The band is playing and everyone is singing, its awesome. Some assholes start a moshpit and are wrestling and fighting and that good stuff. :B
Daron: "Woah woah woah... hold it guys.''
Band stops playing, they're all like "Wtf. o_x"
Daron: "There are some guys who like holding each other over here."
Shirtless guys start throwing each other around.
Daron: "Alright, now I want everyone to go 'Booooo!'"
Crowd: "Boooooo..."
Daron: Alright, now I want you to actually boo!!
Crowd: "BOOOOOOOO!! >D"
Then some guys lifted up a fat, shirtless dude.
Daron: "Nice tits, dude!"
I think that's it. It was a very emotional show, I loved it. I would die if anyone recorded it. It was a great show.
The best part though, was they pumped us up with upbeat songs, then threw Sugar at us for the finalle. It was awesome, you know how Sugar starts off fast, just a couple of drums, then the singing? Well everyone knew exactly when it happened, I guess it's not that amazing, but I thought it was cool. >D
I bought a System of a Down messanger bag while I was there. biggrin DD

3nodding I quite agree with you about Hella. the only good thing about them was their drummer and the guy with the long hair and the green guitar. When the rest of the band got on the stage it was instant suckage. Shavo was wearing the yellow socks here too! whee
