Welcome to The Slavewing, hallways winding around the darkest depths of the Mansion. The hallway is lined with large, sturdy wooden doors, each door with barred windows, and strong iron locks. Slaves are kept here, so that they might be either purchased by a Master, or so they rot away for all eternity. The hallways are lit by torches, and they are dank, and the air is heavy and humid, giving off a musty smell.

Ceres sat silently in his closed cell, the only light coming in was from a small barred window, fog rolling down into the small room. It was chilly, and everything was damp and had an odd smell, and he'd become dirty even though he hadn't been in the cell for long. He was wounded, various cuts, scrapes and bruises lining his thin and pristine figure, tainting his snow white skin. He stood up from his bed and he slowly padded to the door, peeking out the small window on it as he stretched out his wings slightly, they were sore and some of the feathers had been torn out from being handled roughly. He watched with grey eyes as a guard or two would ocassionally walk past his cell and down the hall, hearing odd noises from the other cells of the Slavewing. It was such an awful place, he didn't want to be here, but he didn't want to slave to someone else, either. He was an independant being, preferring to be alone than to be accompanied by a partner or companion, which was odd for angels as they were supposed to be loving and caring creatures. Ceres was almost the exact opposite, he as very dark and uncaring and it was apparant in the way he'd assaulted and almost killed his own Seraph.

The little horse boy was sitting alone in his dark room too skittish to venture out and not brave enough to run away. Though it didn't matter as the door was bolted shut from the outside. In his hands he gripped his pillow, pulling it to himself. He hugged it like it was another person or some dear familiar object as he clung to it's softness, gleaning what comfort he could from the sack of chicken feathers. His black hair was sprawled around him from both his tail and mane around the rags that he wore, having not a scrap to call his own. He had lived in the woods before, knowing nothing of material possessions. So even before he was a slave he had claimed nothing as his own. He had been part of nature, living like a wild thing with a burrow for shelter in the roots of a knarled old tree and eating the bounty of the forest. He swallowed hard, curious what would happen to him now that he had no idea who would own him. His only owner had been the circus after having caught him in the woods and making him a slave. Would he have to dance this time for money and the amusement of crowds of laughing humans? Would they make him wear that hateful bridle with the cold harsh metal bit that hurt his teeth? Or beat him with crops of leather and threaten to have him turned into glue and dog food? He hoped not. Maybe they would be nice and let him have sugar and fresh fruit, instead of half rotten vegetables. He could hope...

Isaaru confidently strolled through the halls of the slavewing, his hands rested behind his back and his chin held high as he inspected every slave that he passed. He was looking for a companion, something to take his mind away from his studies, something to ease the stress that often came from being a teacher of War Tactics in an Academy. His red orbs looked here and there, pausing for a few moments to look into every cell, he passed all the cells, even the horse boy's cell, then turned around at the end of the hall and stopped. He brought a clawed hand to his chin and pondered, staring back dwon the dark and damp hallway before finally returning to the young horse slave's cell and stopping. He motioned one of the guards to come and unlock the door for him, the guard returning to his post after the door had been opened. Isaaru slowly opened the door, filling the doorway with his handsome and regal form. "Good evening, young one." He said softly, his voice kind and gentle, but his gorgeous face was flat and void of emotion. "Come, I've paid for you, so you are now mine. My name is Isaaru." He said, his long, brilliant red tressed flowed around his broud tanned shoulders.

The horse child trembled at the sound of the door opening, thinking somebody was going to come in and inspect him again. The last time they had taken off his clothes to inspect his body and had him open his mouth by firmly grabbing his chin and forcing it open with fat fingers so that they could see his teeth. He wanted to look, but was too afraid until he heard a voice calling to him. The tone sounded so nice, warm and gentle, that he had too look up with hope in his heart that this was a very nice man.
What he found was somebody who looked like a prince to him. Long red fiery hair, beautiful features, and beautiful clothes. For once he felt a little bit ashamed of a tattered rags that he was wearing, which was odd because it was only within the second year of being a slave that he had even learned to be embarrassed about being naked. The only thing was his face. Though it was very pretty, there was no smile to go long with the warm tones, but there was also no sneer or frown indictating he was using that thing called sarcasim that people when they thought he was dumb or they wanted to be cruel.
"I.. I'm Kite." He started nervously as he still clutched his pillow, long back dirty locks falling into his face. The horse boy's long skinny body looked even leaner compared to this man's broader frame. Kite wanted to say more to ask him 'why him?', but he was scared to. He'd had cruel masters before and asking a question without permission was a quick way to a lash.
