I don't know what it is either.
Basically.
I'm on birthcontrol for my period.
I got it back eventually.
And like...
My boyfriend and I had sex during my period (gross I know xD)
and since then my vaginal area has been showing some odd things.
I don't know if it's a yeast infection. Cause I thought I had it before and it ended up being nothing really.
But I've got sharp, itching pains down there.
It's red.
And if I'm seeing right, a bit....swollen.
Not to sound childish or anything...but it stinks too D:
N' i'm having oddly coloured discharge... T___T;;
Any general idea?

It's fine to have sex during your period.
But you're right, it does sound like you might have an infection. We can't diagnose you over the internet though, so you'll have to make an ob-gyn appointment to find out exactly what the problem is. It could be a yeast infection; they're fairly common. But you'll need to have a doctor verify it before you use any kind of medication, even the over the counter kind.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having sex during your period, although many women find it weird or nasty. It's actually better I think, since your v****a is naturally and constantly lubricated.
You surely need to make an appointment with your ob-gyn to check out what is going on.
