So, funny story. I quit WoW about a week or so ago. Gave most of my gold and items to friends, and uninstalled the game. A good 3 or so years of on and off game play deticated to this game... And I wasn't really sad or anything of the sort about quiting or giving my items and hard earned gold away. Infact, I felt almost relieved after. After all, with Warhammer so close to open beta, and my beta keys already input, I was extremely excited about playing the WAR beta. I still am, but now I have a bit of a problem.
I checked the email account I had used for my WoW account, and what do you know, they sent me a Beta key on the 14th of August. So with my heart and hopes set on WAR, I really doubt I plan on using the key. At first I thought about selling it, because hey, who doesn't like free cash? But it was given to me for free (okay, maybe not depending on how you look at it), so I've decided thats the way it will stay. I'd love to give it to someone who would actually use it, appriciate it, and use the bug report feature. Most of all though, I'd really like to find someone with a general love and passion for the game, dispite the games many flaws. I guess in short: "Would this beta key make your day?", type thing.
Also I don't believe this voilates the rules because I'm giving the key away for free, no strings attatcted. If it does by chance feel free to remove this thread.

I guess it can't hurt to try.
I would absolutely love a beta key. Prior to a few days ago, I had been out of the game for about three and a half months, due to real life and computer problems. Due to extreme depression on my mother's side, and physical diability on my father's (osteo-arthritis and spina bifida), my parents are both out of work right now, and technically homeless. They're staying with my grandmother and I (our arrangement was worked out previously, I pay rent), in a 1 bed + den basement suite.
WoW is my escape from that. It lets me be among people I enjoy, it lets me forget about my life's problems, and spend time with my fiancee - who lives in Houston, TX (I live in Vancouver, BC Canada). It's about the only thing we get to do together, so getting back into the game recently was a big deal for me.
I guess what I'm trying to say (albeit not very well, and with too many brackets), is that I would use the beta key dilligently - I love the game and what it has done for me, and I'd like to give back through the Beta to make WotLK as good as I possibly can.

I'd love a Wrath of the Lich King Beta key.
I've been playing since the game came out, maybe with a couple months off time at the most, finally got my first 70, can't wait to play a Death Knight, have been to both BlizzCons and have tickets for the third...
Funny thing is, despite having gone to both BlizzCons, thus getting instant beta invites, I haven't been able to do either. During the Burning Crusade beta we were moving, and didn't get the Internet back for quite sometime. The only access I had to WoW was at a PC Cafe, for $2 an hour.
And this time? I can't find my BlizzCon cards for the life of me. Very disappointing. I was planning on using one, and possibly giving the other two to friends or selling on Ebay or something.
Anyway, awesome thing you're doing, and hope you have fun in WAR. I'm definitely going to try it, myself. Got to play during the preview weekend and the Chaos Chosen is pretty badass. smile

My main is only level 48, so it'd be a waste. By the time I get my character to level 55 or higher, WotLK will probably be out.

Well, I've been playing since the early ages of WoW. Pretty much back when the auction houses weren't linked and you couldn't add extra bars to your screen. I can't help to play this game. It draws me back every time I leave it because It sparks my interest too much mad
I was pretty bummed when I didn't get into the Burning Crusade beta because It looked so amazing and the hype for Outland was flaring. Now WotLK looks even more amazing. I really wanna experiment with my Hunter and Druid, the new talents look awesome to play with and I wanna give both of them a try. I also wanna try out the Death Knight class. I don't like hearing from sites/other people about how OP/Broken/whatever the class is. I like to experience things for myself, and yet Blizzard has yet again decided to leave me out of the beta mad
So, if you'd be kind enough, I'd love to be able to explore the beta and the expansion itself before it comes out.
edit: a beta key would 'make' several of my days.

I've been playing WoW for a good 2 years, recently I quit due to the expansion and people getting bored and not wanting to raid and stuff anymore. I really want to check it out, see what it's like. Hehe it'll be so cool because I don't know anyone who has it, and I want to see what the game will be like...and if I even want to spend money on it.

My boyfriend has been searching for a key since his a few of his friends (and close guildmates) got their keys, pretty much leaving him behind reading forums and keeping up daily on the new situations dealing with his main class - druid. He's played since open beta and still plays consistently. It's how I got into it, watching over his shoulder. My fondest memories were when he was in ZG and I was cheering him on as the good ol' off tank when he was a warrior main.
It would be awesome to be able to give him the gift of a beta key. Again, all I would do is just watch him over his shoulder as he plowed through things with happiness and be able to play with his buddies. I'd still do my reading and maybe steal the account when he's not looking once in a while, but I'm content with watching him - just like the old days.

If we're going on a 'why you should pick me' kind of post, I'm no different than anyone else here. I've been playing for about 3 years, learning my way around the game and giving a few classes my all. I have friends on the beta and if I should get chosen, I'd be extremely grateful- and extremely lucky :3
I don't deserve it more than anyone else, because I can imagine how much we all want it- it'd be pretty freakin cool!
I've always loved Warcraft. I was too young to appreciate the first one but 2, 3 and Frozen Throne were what entertained me and kept my grades lower than they probably should have been through school :3 I was SO excited for WoW when it came out, I couldn't wait. I signed up for the beta and checked my email probably close to every 15 minutes any time I was on a computer, looking for the beta key. I bet anyone could imagine how sad I was when it was a week before the release and I still didn't have a key.
The computer I had wasn't even good enough to run it- so I only played it when I went over to friend's houses. It took me 2 years to find a character I liked and get it up to 45.
Now, I have a pretty decent computer and 2 level 70s (and a bucketful of alts on different servers) on an account of my own. My guild has helped me through tough times when no one else was around, and I've had a TON of fun playing with IRL friends, my boyfriend, the crazy kids on my server and my amazingly awesome guildies. I help people out ingame however I can- I don't have a huge need for money and I know I can make others happy with what I don't need. Its a good feeling :3
I signed up for the beta but, like last time, didn't get a key. I'm incredibly excited for WotLK. If I got to test it out, to see what Blizzard has been working so hard on, I would be ecstatic. Jump out of my chair and dance kinda happy. Run out into the street and kiss someone sort of happy, lol
If you don't want your key and are willing to give it away, I really hope you decide to give it to me. I'm not kidding when I say it would make my year.
But whatever you decide to do with it, I'm glad for whoever gets it :3
And I hope you had fun in WoW! Its always kinda sad to see someone quit but no one plays forever. Thanks Nearr smile

I would do anything for a beta key, i love wow and to be able to use the xpac before it comes out would be like early christmas. I hope who ever gets it, appreciates, cuz i know i would biggrin

Anyway, i dont want a beta key at all. D: it just spoils the game for you then gets took away when the betas over, i dont see the point unless your ~in the business~

I'll happily pay you gaia gold for the beta key, my boyfriend's been absolutely depressed that I got a beta key but he didn't..... and I miss him on beta, he's been my levelling/questing buddy for a year! without him, beta is boring, and I have WAY too much free time on my hands, working a 14 credit hour schedule in which 5/5 classes are basically me sleeping through lectures on things I know already. the "hardest" class is physics, because the principles are rooted in calc 1, which all freshmen are taking this year.... but I took calc 1-4 while i was in high school, so physics is zzzzzz time, please, i need this beta key to get my levelling partner onto beta!
