This is the place where you can leave your suggestions, comments, etc about the guild newspaper.
Tell is if you liked this issue, if you didn't like this issue. Tell us what you liked or didn't like about it.
Tell us what you'd like to see in future newspapers, such as which herb, gemstone, god, etc that you'd like to read about.
Tell us what new articles we should have.
Just tell us anything really. We love to hear our members' feedback. And don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings. We need constructive criticism and your ideas to be able to make this newspaper better.
If you're uncomfortable posting your comments here, you can always PM them to Blessed_Scribe.
Here are some ideas/suggestions that have been given so far: - An advanced craft practitioners section - A current events article. What's going on in the pagan world that we, a smaller, more secluded, audience should know about.
So, we've had some great suggestions/ideas so far. Let's hear some more! Or maybe you could just tell us your thoughts on the current suggestions.

I liked this months God/Goddess article. I don't see deities from this region of the world getting much coverage in most of the materials out there so it's refreshing to see them featured! I also thought the gourd-candle idea was neat. I'm not sure if I'll make something like that this Autumn Equinox, though. I like to use local materials and I'm not sure I'll be able to get a gourd at one of the farmer's markets in town. It's so much fun to decorate for fall!
One thing that bothers me a bit with many articles in general though is so many citations are web-based. I know that for some this may be the only option but I for one like to see primarily book sources or if it's a web source, a dot-edu or another generally well-reputed information source. For some articles and topics these standards aren't as important, but I thought it'd at least voice the concern.

I hear your concern Starlock, but because this is an online newsletter that doesn't actually pay it's writers, the editors have limited control over the writers' sources. We can ask writers to try to use some book sources, but we have no way of knowing if they are able to do so. Thanks for voicing your concern!
Blessed Be

Nothing like coming into a conversation late, but...
I think too it will depend on what the article is on, and what, if any access the author has to actual books on the subject. For some people they may still be in a situation where they can't bring books on certain subjects into their homes because of their parents. This will almost certainly limit them to online sources. Usually when I use online sources, I don't take the word of just one site. I will check around to see if there are other perspectives on the info, and also check to see exactly who the author of the site is - what their background is. When I write my spell articles, if it's not a spell that I have written myself, I still only use online sources for reference only. Very rarely to I submit something as-is, and for the most part I almost always re-design what I find in some way or another.
Even if you are using book based sources, there is still no guarantee that they are any more reliable that what is found on the internet. I've seen plenty of really horrible books, that to someone who may not have known any better - sounded perfectly legitimate. In then end it is just up to everyone to check and double check their sources. For me writing articles is a way of increasing my knowledge/practice, so I would want the info I am presenting be as accurate as possible - otherwise it is a big waste of time. But that's just the way that I am. smile
