The old mare waddled around happily. She couldn't get all over excited about her new coming babies, only because she feared she could hurt herself. Normally she'd be all over the place. With foals in her, she needed to remain calm. Which she had been doing very well for the past few days. It also calmed her down. Tetyawna stood by the mountain side, bent down chewing on fresh grass. She was often hungry but that was understandable in her condition. The mare took a step foward to reach a new patch of grass. It wasnt too hott for her to be out or too chilly, just mild and perfect for a nice stroll around the lands. She was getting sick of staying in one place trying to nurse her babies. However, the joy of seeing young ones once more made her happy. She already had six other children, who are now fully grown adults. Some felt as if they had gotten lost, only because they have not visited her in a while, in fact since forever. That broke their ma's heart, but what can she do about it? Not everyone knew where that one went and where this one was off to.

Tetyawna gazed up at the sky and smiled. Somehow she knew they all probably found their way and place in life. That was at least somewhat satifying. Its hard for a mother to let go of her children, to let them wander into the mysteries of the world.

((I have no RP color for her ATM, sorry))

Marina wandered along aimlessly, wondering what she was doing with her life. Sighing, she continued along her undetermined trail until she came upon a field of lush grass. Bending down to nibble a little bit, Marina noticed a large brown splotch off in the terrain that caught her attention.

Curious as to what the large brown mystery was, she started to approach it slowly, just in case it was something vicious. Upon reaching the mysterious figure, it turned out to be a rather large Soquili mare; her being rather large around the stomach. Seeing the mare pregnant, Marina almost broke out into an undignified sob. (But then again, what was dignified about her?) She remember when she was pregnant with her three children and missed those days sorely.

Sighing to herself, she decided to try and converse with the mare, at least give some form of congratulations at the joys that were about to be brought into the mother's life. Trotting in front of the mare, Marina said softly, "I see you are laden with young ones...might I extend my deepest congratulations and good wishes for the family?" She smiled sweetly.

Tetyawna's head flicked towards the speaking soquili. Another mare, she was not naturally coloured like herself but Tetyawna liked her colors anyways. She smiled and waddled over to her newest company. "Why thank you," biggest grin appeared over her face. "This is probably my last time having foals," she sighed, knowing she was getting too old to care for anymore, "I already have six other kids." Not knowing that the other mare was probably in pain listening to her chirping about how happy her mother hood was. Tetyawna loved all her childrean of course, even when they all ditched her. Tetyawna smiled and looked the mare over. She looked rather young. "I dont suspect you've had any kids yourself? Why, you look so young." Smiling, hoping this was looked as a compliment rather than an insult. The red mare waited patiently for an answer. Normally patience wasnt her thing, but her babies have been affecting her more and more each day. She was rather tired. Tetyawna bent her legs and layed down on her belly, she needed some rest. A yawn came over her and she only sleepily held open her eyes. "I'm..." yawn, "....Tetyawna." She smiled, still trying to look bright.

A kick was felt to the side of her belly, and that woke her right up. She opened her eyes, then squeezed them shut in pain like she often did lately. Then she relaxed her face and left her face with a tired look. "Its a toughie to keep them in my belly, but its worth it all in the end," trying to sound light and happy.

((Pwahaha I love how both Tetyawna and Marina are considered old mares. xDD In our time, at least. razz ))

Marina put on the biggest smile she could muster and chuckled softly and replied, "I've had three of my own some time ago...but thank you for the compliment anyways..." she trailed off with a hint of sadness, then added, "Wow, for having six already, you look quite stunning yourself!" She smiled warmly.

Marina watched Tetyawna's pregnancy getting the best of her, and out of courtesy or fatigue for herself she sat down herself. Almost laughing to herself, Marina answered, "A pleasure to meet you, Tetyawna. I am Marina..." She returned the expression with a wide grin.

Tetyawna seemed to be nicely along in her pregnancy; Marina would love to see her new foals growing up. She felt a small pang of sadness, suddenly feeling an urge to want to have her own. Marina's three kids already moved on quite quickly, much to her dismay. Smiling, she said, "Indeed it is; very much worth it in the end."

Tetyawna blushed at the returning compliment. Was it true? Her age wasnt that noticeable. King certainly made her felt young and 'small' with his size. He was an elder afterall. The red mare smiled and rolled more onto her side. She sighed and stared at her stomache. "They grow up quick," she chuckled thinking about Micah and Awnaety. "Marina, a beautiful name," she giggled then closed her eyes to rest them. They had always been open, it was a good time to let her body recharge. "It sounds like a name from the seas." A smile appeared across her face, but she did not open her eyes. Letting her head relax on her front leg, Tetyawna erected her ears and flicked them when she could feel a fly latch on. "Ahh, in the end is when all your effort has summed up," she said giggling again. Tetyawna had never really been her children's life. She was their mother, food collecter and shelter when they were foals. As they got older, they had all left. Although, Tetyawna was a way too happy mare to see the truth. Her children had any close relationships with her. In her mind, they were all precious. The mare lazily opened her eyes, and slowly got up. Her hunger has not yet been fulfilled. She started sniffing the air with her nose held high. Berries not too far. Then, she started walking. "Care to join me for some snacks?" she asked smiling, without looking back at her company.

Trees grew taller than her and were older than her. She wondered what adventures they held if she climbed up them. Being her excited little self, she has been one of the few, and perhaps the only, mare who could reach the near top of trees by hoof. She smiled at one that had branches low enough for her, even with her pregnancy, could reach. However, she knew better than to risk the lives of her children on her own pleasure of tree climbing. It was always a joy to go up there and watch the world advance from such a high view. She only wished she could share it with someone, perhaps teach King. He was so big he'd probably break the branch though.

((*laughs*))

Smiling a little, Marina agreed, "Yes...they do. Its good to catch them as kids for as long as you can." She felt sad again, thinking about how she was never in most of her childrens' lives while they were foals.

Blushing a cherry red, Marina mumbled, "Not really...but thank you..." She turned to look down, still flushed. To Tetyawna's next comment Marina replied, "Really? Hmm...perhaps so. I honestly don't know, seeing as how I was nameless for the most part of my life thus far. My two-legger friend was kind enough to grace me with a name, perhaps beautiful if you think, when she met me."

"Exactly so," Marina concurred again. For the burden they are, when they come out of their baskets, its just so priceless to be able to see them for the first time. Marina could remember clearly the little baskets that Miakoda had gotten for her to keep the foals in when they were newborns.

Giggling softly, a rare type of laugh that Marina hardly ever let out, she nodded her head and followed Tetyawna in her advance for some sustenance. She also could recall the immense hunger when you needed to support three other stomachs.

The mare smiled and walked deeper into the forest looking for a berry bush. She caught one with the corner of her eye. Taking careful steps close to it she took off a few berry and chewed happily. Feeling a bit of movement in herself. She giggled as she looked down, "I use to have a two-legger friend with me, except she left to go traveling and exploring mountains and all. I miss her, but we all need our seperate ways." Tetyawna looked up and grinned at the other mare. She hoped nothing was stuck in her teeth, or even teeth shaded red because of them berries. Her sentence made her think of her own children, "They grow up so fast eh, then they all head their seperate ways." She smiled and continued picking berries off of the bush. She watch one branch pull with her as she tried to get one. It flicked back into the bush and made it wiggle. She giggled and decided that would do for now. A nice walk down the forest path wouldn't be such a bad idea. Tetyawna turned back to the mare and nosed foward, which lead deeper into the forest. Then, she started heading in.

She flicked her tail side to side, waddling sort of. Tetyawna giggled at how she walked, it was funny looking but also cute to her. Another pain hit her on the side, she paused in her tracks and squeezed again in pain. Trying to breathe at the same tiem fight back the 'cramps' those foals in her were giving. It would be soon 'til she had to give birth. She sighed and let the pain slowly wander off. Turning backwards she wekily smiled and continued her waddling.

Taking her fill of berries, Marina's lips had a slight red tint to them when she finished. Even licking her lips multiple times would not remove the new color she had on her mouth. At the mention of two-leggers, Marina's ears flicked and she added, "Me too...her family had to move for the coming spring a while ago and they haven't returned since." She thought of Miakoda and how she was doing, hoping that she and her family was fine.

To her next statement, Marina felt a twinge of sadness of basically never seeing her only daughter and other son's face since they grew up with their father. She sighed and said, "Yes, it seems thats the painful way of life everyone needs to take."

As they ventured into the forest, Marina just had to smile at Tetyawna's entertaining walking style. She chuckled lightly and wondered if she walked like that when she was pregnant. When Tetyawan showed signs of pain, Marina walked up closer to her and gave a supporting smile.

Tetyawna turned to her company and smiled more willingly now. She sighed and continued her ridiculous waddling. It was definetly awkward walking the way she was but she couldn't walk any other way. Even if she had wings, she wouldnt be able to fly with those babies in her. Tet stopped at a sunny spot in their path. The trees leaves and branches did not quite stick out so far to block the sun's ray. It shown down on the two of them and this excited her. Another tiny kick just about made that happiness disappear. "Sheesh, they....." she took some time to fight off the remaining pain, "....really need to back off with their hooves." She laughed, but not as loud and happy as she would liked her laugh to be. Tetyawna looked up once last time before continuing to waddle. Her hooves clicked against the dirt, making a thumping sound. Not very loudly but one you could hear quite clearly in silence. Normally she would have something on her mind to chat about but at the moment she just kept her eyes and mind on her foals. What they should be named and wondered what they all will be like. Tetyawna remebered how hard it was the first time, and hoped that it would be easier. It should have been since the second time she had four and that took major strenghth.

The orange-red mare took a few more steps and then slowly laid down. Just to the side of the path. Her heart beated silently against her chest, she could hear it in her ears. Yawning she felt herself being a tad tired. "You planning to have anymore?" She asked curiously. If this mare had children before, she must have a mate and they should be happy right? At the same time, Tetyawna knew not everyone was so lucky like herself. The mare grinned hoping that would somewhat soothe the question.

((Sorry for the delay. ;; ))

Moving slightly foward to Tetyawna in case she needed support, Marina gave a small smile and said, "Just shows that they're healthy, beautiful foals." They moved along the path together, their hooves in sync.

As Tetyawna lay down to rest, Marina broke off from the path as well and sat down beside her. To her question, Marina was quiet for a long time. Finally, she said softly, "I don't believe so..." Her voice trailed off at the end in pain again. As much as she would die to have more children, even taking in one that wasn't even related to her, Marina didn't see the prospects as very high.

Marina, the used-to-be scatter-brained but quiet mare, who never really thought before saying the rare things she said, took a hard hit a bit ago. It seemed to have woken her up to some realities, and she hoped that she grew wiser with her coming age.
