Early evening the time when crickets started to chirp and the sky was painted in hues of pink, orange and purple with blue being the central color. All of them blended and swept across the sky like a person slashed at the blueness of the sky with a brush dipped in other colors, some of the pinks in the sky such a bright shade of pink it seemed unnatural.

Pale lilac eyes watched the setting of the sun as the daytime sky gave way to the sky of the night slowly but surely. The bright colors would soon be a memory, which would be seen again tomorrow at this time.

Long white hair seemed to take on a soft glow from the last rays of the setting sun. Shifting his weight a bit Silvera was standing at the edge of the forest watching it all and waiting for evening to fully take hold then he would wonder and enjoy all that came with the evening and night.

Clara enjoyed the sunset. It just made everything so beautiful. Colors become more soft, more pastel, and everything seemed to be painted some shade of pink or orange. It matched her very well, she thought, and this too pleased her. There was little that upset the unicorn, to be honest, and much that made her happy. Some might have found it annoying, but Clara had yet to meet that soquili.

Unfortunately, the setting sun could also be rather blinding, so that when Clara saw a distant figure in blue, it was an obvious case of mistaken identity. It was her friend, the one who had saved her when she was wandering lost in the forest! Hopefully he would be happy to see her, for he made Clara's heart sing. Oh, not romantically... Just happily. But he was very handsome, when it came down to that.

"Ithilin! It's me, Clara!" She wondered what he was doing, facing the sunset. And why was he glowing silver? He hadn't had a silver mane, had he? Upon closer inspection, drawing up, Clara was quick to discover this was not, in fact, her friend. The soquili was similar looking, but had the wings of a bird, and not those of a butterfly.

A blush rose to Clara's cheeks as she lowered her large blue eyes, stammering out an apology. "I'm so sorry. I thought you were my friend." Maybe he would be her friend? No, she had made a right fool of herself, hadn't she?

The colors of the dawn and twilight were both lovely to him though he wasn't sure which suited him better with his purple shaded body, which infact matched his eyes near perfectly.

Tossing his head sending white hair floating about him for a fleeting moment, which seemed to last longer, his tail gave a swish behind him, though only some of that hair moved due to how much hair he did posses, he had more then any mare he'd seen.

He hadn't noticed the mare also watching the sun set but he did soon enough when he heard a very familiar name being called and looked around, his brother? His brother was here? He hadn't seen him and didn't see him now so turned to the voices owner and stared confused.

Clara...that was the name she'd said. Her name was Clara, a very lovely name in Silvera's opinion. Watching her approach he saw her looking him over and seeming to realize he was not his brother, had she thought that he...? That brought a bought of laughter bubbling to the surface which he did his best to not let out as it would be rude and mean.

"That's perfectly alright, you are close in your guessing of who I am. Ithilin is my brother." He said turning to her fully as he flicked his tail, using a back leg to kick his hair out of the way so he didn't step upon it, his head tossed to the side to move his hair from his face again.

"I'm Silvera, younger then Ithilin, yet older then our sister." He said bowing his head gently.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 01, 2008 1:38 pm

Oh, so they were brothers! That explained so much, for the two really did look similar. They were both so handsome. It was almost dizzying, to be in the presence of either of them. Handsome stallions always made Clara feel a little bit intoxicated, like she had eaten overripe berries. Luckily they were so nice, or she wouldn't know what to do with herself!

"You and your brother look so much alike. I'm Clara. I don't know if he ever mentioned that he had met me." While Clara secretly hoped he had, she didn't realistically expect it. Not everyone divulged all the new friendships they had made to their siblings. Having never had any, Clara wasn't sure how many secrets and daily trivialities they shared.

Flicking a ringlet out of her face, the largely pink mare was not lost for conversation. She saw the same warm humor in Silvera that she had seen in Ithilin, which brought a smile to her own face. "It's okay, you can laugh at my mistake. It was a bit silly, wasn't it? You look very much alike, but I think you have even more hair than he does. And it's such a lovely color." It really was. Clara suddenly felt her own brown curls to be very plain in comparison to the silver fountain Silvera seemed to possess. He had enough hair to make any mare envious!

"You and your brother both have the pearls, too. Does your sister have them too?" This was the first that Clara had heard of a sister. Was she as beautiful as her brothers? She probably was. She was probably one of the most beautiful mares anyone had ever seen. Some families had all the luck, when it came to the genetic roulette.

"It's so lovely out here too, don't you think?" It was hard to keep up with Clara, at times, but she had to share her appreciation for the environment. "And then it will be night, and mayhaps the moon will be full, and it will be a different kind of beautiful all together."

Of course he hadn't met many other Soquili so wasn't aware he, or his brother, had this effect on others. Though it may just be this mare. But both of them were indeed nice, and apparently handsome, something he hadn't been called thus far.

Laughing softly he smiled. "We do in some ways." Though not in a lot, he was more purple then blue, their wings were different and hair color different...a lot was really different but the beads and stars and softness, as well as long hair, was the same and those were major things he figured.

"No, he did not mention you but that's alright, I'll have to question him on why he didn't when I see him. And we do look something alike, unlike us and our sister." Who also acted different from them both, though perhaps if confronted with their sister Clara would see enough similarities to know her for their younger sister.

"I haven't seen my brother or sister for a while so perhaps that is why, but I shall have to talk to him." He said giving reason to why he hadn't heard of her, since he and his brother got on very well infact.

"I do...I have more hair then our mother even, by quite an amount really. The color however I did gain for our mother, my siblings gained their hair color more from our father." He said laughing softly. Seeing the family as a group he was sure would be impressive, all winged and horned and the like.

"You are quite pretty yourself Clara." Silvera spoke honestly and with a warm smile and a flutter of his pure white wings, which matched his hair.

"Some but there dark in color and in her hair, a small amount really." He said nodding his head smiling. His brother hadn't mentioned there sister to a friend, he really would have to talk to him and tease him some also of course.

Some families also had a very odd family where the sons were all about keeping their looks in order and being clean while the sister was the tom boy off in the mud and dirt and filth like their family. Also, where the father was shocked he had two sons and not two daughters, again like theirs. He still remembered his father knocking him and his brother over as foals and checking to be sure they were infact...boys.

Father had seemed twitchy after that when he'd realized that his sons were feminine and his daughter liked to run around getting herself all dirty. When she was clean though his sister really was quite lovely, he wouldn't not say this...though he would tease her when she was dirty.

Looking around slowly to take everything in the horned stallion nodded his head as Clara's comment about the surrounding area broke him from his thoughts. "It is quite lovely out. Mother will likely be out soon as she rather fancies the night rather then the day." He said thinking about his mother and how she would be out shimmering under the moons rays if the moon was indeed out tonight.

"Indeed, if the moon is out it will be even more lovely." He said nodding his head before deciding to question her himself.

"Did my brother ever speak to you of our mother or father? As it would seem he never did mention our sister to you, for which I will have to speak with him among other things." He said grinning at her to let her know he didn't mean any harm to his brother.

Aww, he hadn't mentioned her. Shame, really, but it was difficult to keep Clara down. So what if he hadn't? She had just met him, after all, and while she felt that she and Ithilin were friends, who knew what the fluttercorn might think? Deep down, Clara realized that she often took how much soquili liked her for granted. She knew that not everyone was as quick to warm up to another as she was.

"I should like to see your family, I think. It sounds like you would all look very impressive, lined up together." Oh yes, impressive indeed. Maybe even a little bit intimidating.

"I would offer to show you my own family, but I don't have any. My mother and father live far, far away from here. It would take us many moons to get there. Maybe even a year. I don't think that's a journey I want to make. Or you want to make, for that matter." Grinning, Clara once more flicked a troublesome ringlet from her eyes, cursing the curls she loved so much.

When Silvera called Clara pretty, the blush that rose to her cheeks was impressive. It was a deep, almost red, pink that seemed to coat most of her face, only setting off her blue eyes even further. "Oh... oh dear. Thank you very much. For the compliment." Was she pretty? Honestly, Clara didn't know. She didn't think herself ugly, but she wasn't sure what measured how attractive a mare was. There were others prettier than her, she knew, and others that weren't as pretty. But Silvera thought she was pretty. How kind of him! How happy that made her feel! It was as if butterflies were trying to fight their way out of her stomach.

"No, your brother never did mention your parents, but I was lost. There wasn't really too much time for that sort of conversation, I think. Well, he might have, but I'm not sure I remember now. I was so hungry at the time, and a little bit frightened at being lost. It was night, and it was the woods, and I had been foolish. So if he mentioned them, I can't recall. But if your mother comes out, I should like to see her! I am sure she is just as pretty as you. Erm... Not that you're pretty. I mean you are, but that's so feminine. Handsome. But I'm sure your mother is pretty."

Stumbling over her words, Clara blushed once more, suddenly intent on her hooves. What was so fascinating there, she wasn't sure, but it was better than trying to look Silvera in the eye after she had called him pretty. Ugh, now he would think she thought he was feminine!

Of course not all others warmed up as fast as others did to one another, it was simply how soquili were...all different and unique.

"My mother is lovely, my father often refers to her as a goddess." He said smiling as he laughed softly. It was amusing and cute to see his father call his mother by such and then when she would tell him she was no goddess he would call her modest.

"If you'd like I'm sure we can find my mother at the very least." She would likely be very easy to find, somewhere in the forest around there teepee likely and making for the river, she loved going there.

"I'm sorry to hear of your family being so far away, that must be sad. You don't get to see them or have them lovingly by your side, I wish they were here with you." He truly did he did have sympathy for other soquili, never pity. "That would be very long indeed and I'm sure it wouldn't be easy, thus even longer I'm sure." And impossible thusly.

"There isn't any need to thank me, a compliment should be treasured and no need of thanks involved as it is just someone merely speaking the truth." Silvera spoke kindly a smile painting his features as he watched the heavily blushing mare, those blue eyes of hers were quite lovely and had him wondering if perhaps his brother thought her pretty as well.

Laughing as he heard of her plight the night his brother found Clara he shook his head. "That sounds like my mother very much so! My mother does tend to become quite often in the woods. I can forgive my brother for not speaking with you of his family, but I will tease him for sure." He stated nodding his head, oh he would tease is brother and it would likely wind up an ariel chase between the two, or something else similar.

As she stumbled over her words he couldn't help continue to laugh it was quite cute and amusing really. He didn't mind her stumbling and calling him pretty, infact he took it as a compliment!

"I don't mind if you call me pretty, I consider that a compliment really." He spoke honestly to soothe her nerves at calling him that. "To be honest myself and my brother both consider it a compliment." Though his sister may not...he wasn't sure and didn't think he'd like to find out least she get him dirty.

As Silvera told Clara of how his father referred to his mother, she smiled softly, but felt a twitch of envy run through her body at the same time. She had never wanted a romantic relationship before this, but the longing suddenly came, try as she might to squash it. One day she would find a stallion to refer to her as such. Perhaps. If she could ever figure out when her heart said friend, and when it said lover.

"Yes, I'd like to go find your mother. It sounds like a splendid adventure." It did at that, even though Silvera had said she was close by. The mysterious mother of two such beautiful sons was surely beautiful herself, and perhaps she could help sort out Clara's mind from her heart, and tell her what feelings were, and what they meant. Maybe she could even tell her where baskets came from! As far as Clara knew, they just fell from the sky.

"I'm glad I'm not the only soquili you know with a talent for getting lost then." Smiling softly, Clara was glad that Silvera had taken her compliment. IT seemed important to her that he should do so, and that he didn't think her a complete idiot in the process. Really, she was quite intelligent, but phrasing things came so difficultly for her! It was easier with the younger soquili, who enjoyed compliments and the outpouring of love Clara had to give to the world. She never asked for it in return. Perhaps that was why she craved it, so suddenly.

Again, he took her stumbling words as a compliment, earning a bright smile from the unicorn mare. She hadn't messed up after all. "I thought handsome might be more appropriate. But you're both." Oh dear, she couldn't stop complimenting him, could she?

Changing the subject abruptly to hide her social faux paus, Clara continued to speak in her high, pure voice. "Should we go find your mother then?"

Silvera had yet to think of love but he was young, really young. He knew that one day it would happen and he was determined to find someone he could cherish like hie father did his mother, he wanted a loving relationship like they had, but also someone who wouldn't get him dirty and wouldn't mind him grooming himself...a lot.

His mother would surely be close and could help Clara, though he didn't know she needed such help. He knew his mother however to be a very helping soquili and friendly, soft spoken, and gentle as could be. "Alright then, we shall find my mother and you can speak with her, she'll love to meet a friend of mine and my brothers." He said honestly, his mother loved to meet all manner of soquili, aside from skinwalkers and kalona as they bother scared her.

"Father has found mother lost in the woods many times, she would say she was looking for him and his teepee or that she was just wondering. Father often has to help mother find her way." It was cute, mother knew wheres his fathers teepee was and yet she got lost nearly everytime.

Laughing softly he bowed his head and gave his wings a fluffing. "I am, as is my brother. And you are cute cute and amusing Clara. I like your company quite a bit." He said nodding his head, already it was obvious from previous words spoken that he looked to her as a friend. He was quick in deciding if someone were a friend to him or not but he didn't mind any fault another soquili had. If they were generally nice and didn't harm him verbally or physically then all was good, right?

"Yes, let us go find mother." A nod of his head and a pure white wing draped itself over the mare as he came to stand by her side. "To keep you at my side and incase anything were to happen." He explained quickly.

He thought of her as a friend! She had a new friend! Clara was so excited that she could call this lovely, gentle stallion her friend. He would make a wonderful companion, and she couldn't wait to meet his mother. That would just make their friendship even more official.

"Yes, yes, let's go find your mother! I am glad you're such a nice friend Silvera. I'm so lucky to make a new friend." Grinning brilliantly, Clara pranced in place, her golden locket banging against her chest as she did so, nearly dislodging the bow that tied up part of her curly mane.

"I think I should find my own permanent home. Then if I get lost, I'll at least kind of know where to go. I sleep under the stars now, which is nice, but in winter it can get so cold. And when it rains I have to sleep in caves sometimes, and it's so hard there. It hurts my sides." Clara was a delicate mare, when it boiled down to that, and she was easily bruised. The rocks had created great blue markings on her sides, underneath the pink garment she wore.

"Do you live with your mother all the time? Or do you live by yourself? Or with your siblings?" Walking and talking now. She stayed near Silvera, trying not to get lost. Good thing his mane was so bright! He was a clear beacon in this dark forest, guiding her towards wherever she might wish.

Laughing at the bubbly mare at his side he found her antics quite cute and that of a foal almost, like he had acted when he was younger. He had been bouncy and active as a child always running and flying, though keeping as clean as possible while doing so.

"Yes, we will find my mother." He said kindly to the mare. "That would be a very good idea. I live in the teepee my mother lives in, along with some other soquili." Recently a green and black colored usdia, a tiny thing, had joined the group making the tent much warmer.

"I have slept under the stars but only twice, it was magical really." He spoke in a soft voice his tail flickering, as much as it could really, behind him.

"Now...mother should be near the river...somewhere near where the teepee is in the forest." Mother usually would walk straight from their home till she reached the river.

Had Clara known of Silvera's constant desire to be clean, she would have been even more thrilled. It was another thing they held in common, though the topic never came up. It was so easy to get mud on her flimsy pink garment, and so difficult to get it out. And she didn't like having things stuck in her intensely curled mane. Being dirty was far, far overrated.

Still prancing like a filly, Clara managed to gather herself, keeping herself in place, though her tail lashed like that of a cat. Silvera was providing to be a very interesting companion indeed. "It must be nice to still live with your mother. You always have someone to talk to about your troubles." That must have been nice indeed. Clara debated finding her own teepee mate, or moving in with another. That would be nice, wouldn't it?

"You should sleep under the stars once more. I know some places where it stays dry and clean all night, and you can see all the stars. There are more stars than there are blades of grass, it seems." Clara could be poetical and deep without realizing it, adding substance to a mare who seemed to be largely fluff.

"All right. Tell me if we see your mother. I don't know what she looks like, and I don't want to say hi to another soquili, thinking it's her! I've already made the mistake once today." Grinning bashfully, Clara looked down momentarily, before glancing back up and staring ahead.

Well with his pale body and snowy white hair any dirt would show up and the beads...ohh they would be hard to clean if they ever got dirty. He really was into keeping clean and washing...often. Of course he didn't think about mentioning that fact about himself or his brother nor asking Clara about her take on cleanliness, though perhaps in the back of his mind he figured her to be one to take cleaning seriously due to her clothing and hair.

"Mmmm it is nice. And it's not just me and mother. Lyra, the one who took my mother in when she hadn't a teepee, lives there also with his son Asa and theres now a Usdia living there also." He said nodding his head happily, it was a rather full and thus warm. "So weather it's my mother or someone else I do always get to speak to someone if ever I need." Or get watched by someone.

"I've seen...there are millions it seems all shimmering it's like a blanket of them in the sky. I wonder if there is an end to how many there are." Silvera whispered in response, it really was something to wonder and ponder over.

Laughing he nodded his head and hugged her close to himself with one large white wing. "Of course." He said laughing some more.

Approaching the river where his mother often was he wasn't disappointed.

Just stepping out of the clearing as the sun was lowering itself to sleep for the night. A silver horn atop her head and wings that looked like some master of art had crated them from sheer gossamer. Little spheres of light trailed around her wings following the mare as he graceful steps brought her from the tree line into plain view.

The gentle, cool, breeze blew her white hair, not quite as pure white as her sons, froward and into her face. A little toss of her head and her hair was back in place, pears and beads jangled against each other.

If her son was stunning she was mesmerizing. From the color of her body and the markings to her wings and beads. The silk fabric she wore about her lower half trailed behind her fluttering behind back silver hooves.

It was when she heard her son, Silver's, voice that she turned to him and spied him and a female with him. "Silvera." Her voice was soft as a whisper and yet seemed to carry with little difficulty.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 07, 2008 5:38 pm

Clara leaned in for the brief hug, enjoying the physical proximity of the stallion. It was so nice to have physical contact added to a friendship. It made it feel so much more intimate, like they hadn't just met. As far as Clara was concerned, it seemed like they hadn't. It felt as though she and Silvera had be friends for ages and ages. Maybe in another life they had been friends? Clara couldn't concern herself with the metaphysical; no, not when the current was so beautiful!

Speaking of beautiful.... Lady Requiem was easily the most beautiful soquili Clara had ever seen. Her mouth dropped open, and even though it was terribly impolite, she couldn't close it, or tear her gaze from the fluttercorn.

"I... I can see where you and your brother get your appearance from." Chuckling weakly, Clara stepped forward, as if to bring herself closer to the magnificent apparition, before stepping backwards once more.

"I'm sorry, this isn't polite of me at all! I'm Clara." She inclined her head politely to the mother of the two brothers, both her friends. "Your son Ithilidin rescued me from a forest once, when I was lost, and I've just met Silvera today. You've raised some wonderful children." It was true. Both had been so gallant to her! There was no way their mother could be any different. Her voice, her appearance, her aura... Everything about her was beautiful and serene. Clara found herself wondering what it would be like to have Lady Requiem as her own mother or relation, though she knew that thought to be rather silly.

"Silvera," she said in an undertone to the alicorn, "You didn't tell me your mother was as pretty as this! This is overwhelming." It was, and Clara found herself with breath caught in her throat, blue eyes wide and starstruck.

Standing with Clara and smiling as he saw his mother approaching them both while his horn shone gently, like his mothers did.

"Mmmm father is quite handsome, or so mother tells him, so it's not just mother." But their mother did play quite the role in their appearance. She was indeed beautiful and he was sure if his mother were more social, and not always getting lost, she would hear it from many other soquili.

"You know you can approach my mother, she is quite gentle and nothing to be scared of." He said in a soft voice.

Watching her son and his apparent friend she smiled even as the mare backed away as if in fright. "It's quite alright dear." She spoke gently her voice soft and gentle as a cool evening breeze.

Bowing her horned head to the mare at her son's side, as she stood infront of the two, she smiled gently. "I'm Lady Requiem." She spoke introducing herself gentle as could possibly be.

"Ahhh yes my sons are bother very helpful boys, as is my daughter of course." She spoke laughing softly and her wings fluttered behind her gently. "I have the same problem with becoming lost though I find I do it often, my mate often finds me although my children do also."

A light smile graced her gentle, soft, appearance. "Would you believe me if I said I was shocked and surprised to know I was with foals, I had not planned them in the least and knew nothing on raising children?" She half asked half simply stated.

"I did tell you my mother was lovely." He said chuckling some at her whispered words. He had warned her properly, hadn't he?
