The stallion was restless as it took forever for his wing to mend it seemed. Whatever the case Sasuke was fed up with things using an angry guise to cover his loneliness. Sure picking on Naruto was his usual motive but lately he was just down about everything around him. Of course this was his problem and the angeni knew it.
Reason being he was the last remaining Uchiha besides his wolf companion Sharingan who seemed to take interest in that new female wolf recently.
Whatever. He could do whatever the hell he wanted. Sasuke had no reason to worry over a fleabag that didn't occupy himself with things the Uchiha male did. So Sasuke of course was left to his thoughts, and that was the usual for the great stallion. He remembered back to his youthful days in the Konoha world as he called it. Alone and insecure yet he strived to always become the master of his destiny - a strong believer he would surpass his brother.
Though inside he felt he was dying literally thinking back to when his brother took the initiative to destroy what was precious to him. b*****d. He would pay greatly wherever he was. But for now his thoughts were building and formulating a plan. There was of course one that could help him in this situation but how to bring up such a deep and intimate question to someone you watched raised up from a foal to adult.
Naruto was of course the one that looked at her as a sister - he was foolish like that and Sasuke recognized this immediately by the way the Usuratonkachi acted around her. But he himself felt differently about the little mare. Not a term proposing love but something else. Oh Naruto would scold him for being so devious and yet did Sasuke care what the moron thought? No, of course not. This was his own plan - something that would help him alleviate that loneliness and make the male feel as if he wasn't the only one.
But seriously this was going to take planning on his part. A lot of precious time and good behavior to make it work between the both of them. The girl loved Sasuke he knew it deep inside but he could never return the favor really. He never was and never would be fond of females. They annoyed the hell out of him to no end and that's the way he'd be toward the idea. But she would love him secretly and he was fine with it for she was the only girl that didn't disgust him with every bated breath. She was Kakashi's daughter and she was a strong mare capable of holding her own. That was what he saw as he went in search of the little blue mare. The simple excuse to get what he wanted and still not be a conceited a** doing so.

Kunai on the other hand was always working with her training, Never a moment went by she didn't constantly strive to adhere and become stronger to her learning. She upon her first days with Sasuke and Naruto believed herself to be a top bred Ninja - in a sense she was correct. That dedication and prevalence paid off earning her the chunin vest of her father and respect of the deepest regard. Sure she faltered from time to time and yet Kunai always bettered herself in any situation becoming strong and wise as she constantly advanced her skills.
Her heart though secretly loved another.
How odd was that she pondered loving someone who could never return the affection. It was down right frustrating at times and yet she understood why he couldn't love her. It was no secret really for he couldn't even admit the great angeni was in love with another. But Kunai witnessed it growing to her sleek form and it was fine with her. She only wanted Sasuke to be happy and do what he felt was right. So Kunai would secretly love that massive creation and remember each time her heart fluttered at his very presence. She would never express feelings and become one of those fangirls as he called them. The mare had too much repect for her teacher to dishonor his view of her. Kunai was a patient mare and always watched things she did and the actions she played out.
It was strange really how she was the only one he consoled within. Brief interludes of his past were spoken and the hatred for an older sibling had reached her with heartfelt tears. It seemed Sasuke was lonely though he never showed it at any time - only when they both shared a quiet time with one another. He would speak in short muses and yet she drank in everything as if it were her very life. His lifelong goal, his friendship he never considered, and now his life here.
She clearly didn't understand anything when she was a foal, and yet there was plenty she did. Arwen had spoken of the other world and the bonds between companions. How the stallions were connected from their other world and if they let things go awry again they'd both die at the hands of fate.
Kunai would never let that happen again.
Right now she was seeking out Sasuke not knowing why but somehow she knew he desired a meeting, a talk if you will like they always had on those cool summer days when it was just the two of them. Lifting her head up she saw him approaching and smiled softly.
It was always quite odd how she knew when he needed something. Almost as if she too were connected to the great male. Fate and Destiny had a strange way of handling things she mused. Whinnying to get his attention the mare waited wondering what Sasuke had come to talk about this time.

Sasuke looked up his ears swiveling to her beckoning call. He found it ironic how well she always knew where to find him as likewise with him. But to the stallion it was a godsend that he never had to look far in his deliberate searches for the blue delicate mare. She was always at his reach should he need her. Letting his eyes lighten the stallion moved toward her in a cold rigid stance as he always did yet there was an air of mystery in his motives- especially this day in general.
"Kunai. I need to talk with you." he stated flicking his long velvety ears in her direction with that cold hard gaze which resonated intent of some sort. He knew she'd listen but the fact of the matter was would she accept his proposal he wondered. This was a huge step for the both of them and it was something unseen to either success or failure. His eyes lied upon the blue features deciding this was a definite consideration then he began his speech.
Her eyes flickered looking at him with query. Sasuke never asked something unless he was serious and this day she really was wondering what he wanted so eagerly of her. Kunai found it odd neither Naruto or the two wolves were around either - there was something brewing in that stallion's head and she really wondered what.
"Sure I'll listen Sasuke.." she smiled walking over with her head held high, "I always listen you know that." her smile was genuine yet she was cautious as her nature led her to behave. A certain trait that helped her stay out of harm's way and stupid notions as well.
"I've been meaning to ask you something that's sitting within my mind for awhile now. You're a sensitive girl and I don't need to push this on you. But well you've always heard me out so I decided to ask." His eyes averted from her though they still kept her perfectly through the side of his vision. This was his own doing, a plot that was building deeper and stronger then any other he had concocted. Sasuke had no idea of the outcome he just knew the motive and success behind his plan.
Kunai tilted her head moving closer to him yet leaving room for space as she knew he was fond of. Around anyone else he was so cold, as chilling as ice but around her he actually regarded her as more. Hearing his voice or the sweep of his wings upon the air was something out of a dream. She knew it was never meant to be but a lucid dream was all she asked for and he certainly delivered with poise and perfection.
"Go on.." she responded blowing out in confidence. Why was he acting so odd she wondered. Wasn't this just like all the times they simply talked and consoled doubts within one another?
Sasuke closed his eyes and shook his head ruffing up his mane before begining again. "Fine. I want you to help me reinitialize my clan or rather my bloodline. You carry Kakashi's bloodline in your veins and your eyes. It shows Kunai." he said with a longing that purely showed in his request with much consideration. "I don't have any family and I want you to help me accomplish that one last desire I seek. Its all I ask of you little one." he murmured still half watching her. This was a huge a** request and he was a bit nervous asking Kunai such a deep thing to do. He wouldn't press her either but she was the only option he really had. He smirked thinking of Naruto in that position and laughed to himself royally. No Kunai was his best option to ask such a favor..

The little mare listened and what her reaction told him was it would take some time to think over. She gasped in spite of her strong profile and temperament letting all inhibitions show. This was like a dream and yet she knew it was merely his way of helping himself. He was royally frustrating at times which made her ponder and wonder why Naruto did put up with him. He was conceited, selfish, and outright an a** most of the time. Standing there she remembered the days he made her cry but it never stopped her in her learning. Though he forced her to break down day after day she knew it was his way of seeing things through. Cold, hard edged, and strict only made her strive to push even harder - she knew this was his ninja way.
Closing her eyes she neared closer without breaking that trust barrier between them. Her breath was smooth yet there was a skip in her heartbeats when she finally spoke, "Sasuke..." she began trying to seem as strong as possible, "I've listened to you for many moons and sunrises. When no one else would take the time I was there for you. And you know I will always be in the future... but this request is not something I can't merely agree to on a whim. It means a lot to simply go and fulfill such an offer. I hope you know that." she frowned looking clearing at him with a flick of her ears.
"I just need time to think it through because one wrong step and we'd both be forsaken. What would Naruto and my father think if I simply just..." she paused gulping with tears that were threatening to escape. No I can't look weak in front of him.. I won't. Not Sasuke... Not now... Biting her lip she turned away from him wanting to agree but knew it was way too soon.
"You don't love me Sasuke and never will and I know this. I know who you love deep inside and even you can't admit it to yourself. " she murmured trying not to cry. "Damn teme... you know how much this is killing me to not say yes yet? I'd do anything for you in a heartbeat. But this... this one request is just so sudden."
Sasuke furrowed his brow snorting. She was a mare and they got emotional he knew this. But to see her worked up was actually affecting the stallion more then he would know.
"Damit Kunai! I said you should think it over. For crying out loud don't annoy me like one of those whining girls. I told you you don't have to accept I just asked. Heh " she groaned refusing to look at her now.
"Naruto well he's ..." he paused gritting his teeth, "You know he wouldn't be able to... aww hell. Kunai don't you dare cry runt." he scowled still not looking at her but eventually he did. "No I can't love you its not in my way of things Kunai I'm just not like that. I only ask because you can help me but if you want to say no that's fine. Just don't give me an answer right away.. think about it." He snorted walking away from her. Damnit Kunai don't make me seem like a villain right now. Just think it over.
He breathed smoothly then returned his gaze to her, "Look just forget I asked. You're right I can't love you and I won't bring myself to do it. Forget I even mentioned it and let it be..." He groaned to himself walking away.
Kunai was fully crying right now and shook her head vigorusly. This was always how it went because he was such a cold a** b*****d. She stomped her hooves in a frustrating manner almost like that filly Sasuke remembered. Her gaze fell flat though it glinted with seriousness as the last scattered tears left her eyes.
"Urusai! I'm not letting you walk away from what you asked of me Uchiha Sasuke. You asked and I will give you an answer but don't you think you can walk away and just act like your ego is bigger then me." she walked deliberately up till her nose was touching his, "Because I'm better then that and you know it! Its why you asked me of all mares because you see me as an equal. Yet you act like I'm a tool for your purposes. Which is it sensei? Am I am equal or a tool to you? Am I just an easy way to help you gain more power? Teme I don't know why anyone stays around you but I know why I do. Because..." she snorted tossing her head, "Id do anything for you. I'd take on Kalonas and Skinwalkers. I'd fight humans that are mean and cruel... Hell I'd turn from my family if that's what you wished. But you don't see that dedication do you Sasuke? " she sighed with more tears walking away from him.
"Naruto is right... you are a concited a*****e."

Sasuke snorted as his head whipped around towards her with menacing eyes. He knew what she spoke was pure truth and he damned the girl for reminding him. He wanted to walk away to forget he saw her but those words were as sharp as the senbon Haku used to nearly kill Naruto and himself back in the lifetime of Konoha. She was right and he hated her for such memories when he turned from everything.
He was remembering now seeking Orochimaru to become stronger and defeat his brother. A reminder of taking on death by listening to the Sound Ninjas whispering the sleaze's demands. partially dying to let the curse seal take its course and devour him. The waves of unholy power that shut out his heart and mind. Revenge. That's all it ever was to him. The sheer feeling of winning - defeating and annihilating the enemy. His friend so close to him was merely a tool as his brother suggested to gain even more power. Is that all it ever was he cursed silently. Power to become the utmost strongest individual? Crushing everything in its path to stand and gloat he was superior as his friend lay bleeding and strewn half dead from his handiwork.
The vision now changed to something foreign as his mind was racing, the great lungs taking air faster then usual. He saw a taller version of himself lonely and powerful. His attire looking almost like a pirate in appearance. He was well toned from fighting and training, still he looked forlorn. He had killed his brother and a few others and yet there was remorse that never surfaced.
The stallion winced and willed away these horrible images to cease as he forced himself to go to Kunai covering her with a wing that draped over her like a willow tree. He breathed more slowly now and his actions showed he regretted what he had done.
"Look Kunai. You know I've never been easy with my feelings especially to anyone. Yeah I'm an a** you're right as is that Dobe. But I was serious about what I asked because you and Naruto are my equals. I'll never tell him that and you won't force me to either." he sighed deeply balancing his weight on his strong legs standing beside her.
"I just thought you'd be honored to share something with me. You've always been such a good kid and well even though I was a hard a** I always felt you surpassed even my methods along with Naruto. I think you're more of your father then you realize." he smirked tapping her on the head with a wing, "you're still a hard headed runt."
Kunai sniffed up her tears and smiled looking sideways at him.
"And you sensei are still an a** I admire more then anyone other then Naruto and my family. Its why I never stopped trying because I wanted to see you once smile in my achievement. But I knew you never would because its not you Sasuke. He who smirks more then he should." she laughed with a toss of her spiky mane. It was fun to tease the b*****d and yet she did it not as a mean objective but more so because he was something more.
Pausing Kunai took a deep breath and nodded, "Uchiha Sasuke..." she looked to the clouds as they drifted across the sky, "I accept your proposal. Not because you see it as a way of power but because you see it as a way to have a family. To not be lonely nor fear you'll die the only one. Sasuke there's so much more if you simply open your eyes and see them." she breathed lying her head on his shoulder - something of course she couldn't do when she was still a foal.

The stallion flinched at her being so close yet he didn't object or growl at her. Finally through burnt feelings and somber memories he got what he wanted to hear. But, for some reason he didn't feel happy by the results nor content for he was once again in control. Something was bothering Sasuke more then anything yet he had no idea what. He grumbled royally off and on and even then he wasn't happy. Was he doomed to never experience happiness he pondered? Closing those cold lonely eyes off to the sun that was nearly setting he let his inhibitions go away and stay away.
Sasuke had asked the impossible of his student so the least he could give her was a little closeness he figured. Flicking his ears he breathed deeply not knowing what else to say other then two words.
"Arigato Kunai, " he spoke with a smooth tone not callous nor unsettling. It was all he could do and say in his appreciation to what she had agreed to. Now he would wait till the time was right and regain his heritage taking it by the reins and create a life anew of his family name. He'd of course give her time because something like this was way too precious to simply rush. It would take planning and devotion something Kunai taught him from little on up.
Sasuke would have to grow up and understand his responsibilities.
Kunai stood with bated breath for once this change took place it was sure to change things between her and Sasuke immensely. Not to mention her family and even Naruto would see things in a new light .Be it bad or good her heart screamed that she might be abandoned for recklessness such as a decision of this magnitude. The fear was something that teased her to no end but for Sasuke's sake the little ninja mare would stay strong. For now this was her time to revel how close he let her with him. It was a dream saturated in hope and knowledge the stallion respected her. That was all Kunai ever wished for and always would. His huge chest was massive as she rested her head upon him hearing that distant heart that beat slowly in her ears. The thought was pure amusement to her bringing a smile upon her gentle face it was perfect truth the cold b*****d stallion actually did have A heart and was beating so fondly within that deep cavity known as his chest. It was almost too true to fathom but she'd definitely whisper it to Naruto the next time she saw him. Letting all her anger flow from her she sighed heavily closing her eyes from the setting sun. As long as Sasuke always remembered what she expressed this day, she was content to do anything even of this degree in dedication for the dark angeni.
