"Look!" the toddler demanded, tugging urgently on her sister's pantleg and pointing to the gift shop. She wanted to go in there; they had toys to play with and books to look at and boxes to open and....
Nataya looked at her little sister, shaking her head. "No, 'Zuba. Not until we're about to leave." she said, smiling slightly. "Don't you want to see the stars?" Since she was out of school today, and Momma was at work, they'd come to the local planetarium as an all-day sister-bonding outing. So far, there hadn't been any screaming; definately the start of what was sure to be a great day.
"Stars?" 'Zuba asked, tilting her head to the side. Weren't stars in the sky? "Look at stars. Now." she said, tugging on her sister's hand and pointing forward. Well, if she said there were stars here, she must know where they were, right? As the purple-haired child led the way, the little one examined her surroundings. There were so many pretty things to look at, like the giant marbles. She wanted some of those to play with... But, another thing she noticed was there were a lot of people here....people she didn't know. She frowned, clutching to her sibling's arm and walking as close to her as possible. She mumbled unintelligibly under her breath, resting her little head against the arm she had in her grasp, her right feathered ear folding back against her head.

Adhara whined loudly as she was pulled away from the gift shop to stand in yet another line, Noah's free hand plugging up one of his ears. She didn't want to stand in line again!! She wanted to know what was in all the boxes and how they worked! The things here were so much more interesting than the other things that Noah had in his crappy apartment. The lust child yanked her hand out of Noah's and crossed her arms irritably.
"For the last time, Adhi, you cannot go into a store if you're going to open everything!!" Noah snapped, causing the girl to turn her glare toward him rather than the floor, making the man shake his head. Already, he was in possession of more things than he'd planned on buying when he got here, and he was sure that this toddler wasn't going to make it any easier on him.
Of course, as soon as he turned his head away, something else seemed to catch Adhara's attention, and she wasn't at his side in a moment's notice, making the anti-parent groan tiredly. It was enough to ask for a child who didn't keep him up all night long, but did she need to wander off all the time? Maybe he should invest in one of those... child-leashes. That could very well improve the situation of 'being out of the house with this demon child'.
Adhi stumbled a bit when she finally caught up with what she'd been following; another girl who looked like she was from the same place that Adhara, herself, was from. But this girl looked much different than any of the others she'd met. She was split completely down the middle, like someone had stuck two people together. She continued following the girl, before jogged a bit forward, walking a couple feet away and watching her curiously. That is, until her fun was ruined when Noah grabbed onto one of her tentacles and it latched right back on, the other reaching for the other spawn, though it fell short quite a few feet.
"Sorry about that," Noah said, holding tightly to his own spawn's strange purple appendage, which was wriggling in his grip. He gestured down at the lust girl with the hand that had the bag full of opened-by-Adhi merchandise in it. "She wasn't bothering you, was she?"

'Zuba ducked behind her sister, peeking out at the big person who was talking to them. After about three seconds, she noticed someone closer to her size, waving shyly at the other girl. Someone her size wasn't nearly as intimidating as one of those grown-ups.
Nataya blinked as her sister darted behind her, then looked up at the adult. "Oh, it's okay." she said, smiling at both him and the little girl. "She wasn't bothering us at all, was she, 'Zuba?" To be honest, she hadn't even noticed they were being followed, so it was all good.
Azubahiel shook her head once. "No bother." she said simply, then tilted her head to the side as she looked at the purply squirmy thingies coming from the girl's side. "That?" she asked, pointing to Adhara's tentacles as a curious look spread across her face. What on earth were those purple thingamabobbers coming from the other child's sides? She'd never seen anything like it! Then, remebering those 'manner' things Mommy and Nataya had been teaching her, she pointed to herself as she stepped out from behind her sibling a bit. "'Zuba-heel." she stated, then pointed to the other girl. "You?"

"That's good to hear, then," Noah replied, relief obvious in his voice as he glanced down at her foster daughter. When he noticed she was trying to greet the other child about her same size, he let go of her tentacle quickly, assuming things would be fine between the two. He glanced back up at the older of the two small girls. "She has a habit of causing a bit of trouble around... well, anywhere, really. Not that she means to. At least, I hope not...
"I'm Noah, by-the-way," he finished quickly, remembering his manners in the last second when the half-and-half girl introduced herself to Adhara.
Adhi followed 'Zuba's gaze to the tentacle that was being pointed at and took it in one hand, where it squirmed like a captured animal until she let go of it again, looking as though she'd never noticed those feature of her's before. The other continued to reach toward 'Zuba, only to be tugged back by one of Adhara's own hands. "I dun'no..." she commented, investigating the tentacle further before she got that the other girl had asked her name. She let go of the bizarre purple appendage which twisted uncomfortably after being treated in such a way, and she pointed to herself.
"My name's Adhara. It's nice to meet you, 'Zuba," she said pleasantly, smiling at the girl. That lisp of her's seemed to be getting even worse with every passing day...

"I'm Nataya." the little fairy said, smiling up at the adult. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Noah." She looked at the other little one, who reminded her an awful lot like her new sibling. "I'm sure she doesn't mean to cause any trouble." she offered, grinning.
"Is wiggly." 'Zuba stated, looking from the tentacle to the girl. She wanted some of those wiggly things too! She would have asked, but they looked like they were stuck on the other girl. She returned the smile. "Nice to meet you, Adhara." she said politely, struggling a bit over the other child's name. She looked again at the purple tentacles, still intrigued by them. Mother never said anything about manners concerning these things, so she had no idea what not to do, and childhood curiousity was nagging at her. So, without another word or asking to, she reached out and gently poked one of them.

"The pleasure's all mine," Noah responded kindly, glad to meet at least somewhat of a guardian early on, even if she was... well, a bit less-than-human. He chuckled softly at that second statement, smiling wryly at his spawn. "I tell myself that, but sometimes I have to wonder..." He ruffled Adhara's hair a bit and she glanced around fervently for the perpetrator before glaring up at Noah, pressing her hair flat again irritably.
Her attention was nabbed back, however, when her tentacle was poked at. Instinctively, it winced, fearing what had happened the first time. But as that didn't happen this time, it butted against what it could reach of 'Zuba's hand before wrapping around her wrist and practically yanking the two together, happy with its extended boundaries, though it simply continued pressing into 'Zuba's hand, glad for the attention.
Not that they were closer, Adhara could see the other more clearly. She closed one amber eye and peered at the girl. She gestured toward one of her own ears. "I like your, umm..." she started, but was unable to find the word and stopped, reaching out to brush the back of her hand gently against the girl's feathered ear. She pulled her hand back, giggling a bit. It was a so soft!!

A small giggle came from the girl as she looked at the man's daughter momentarily. It briefly came across her mind to ask if she'd come from the same place 'Zuba had, but she decided against it...for the moment, atleast. "Don't all little kids cause trouble?" She asked, her voice light and cheerful as she looked back up at Noah. 'Zuba certainly caused trouble, and Nataya was sure she must have stirred up a little mischief.
'Zuba blinked as she was suddenly yanked forward, a small squeak emmitting from her as she did her best not to fall ontop of the other girl. She definately hadn't been expecting that. She looked at the tentacle for a moment, smiling and petting it a little. It seemed to act much like their dog, Circe. So petting it was okay, right? Right.
She looked up at Adhara, smiling and giggling as her ear was touched; that tickled! The ear ruffled a bit, much like a birds wing, before settling back down. "Your....purply things cooler." she replied, taking a moment to find a proper name for the wiggling things attatched to her new friend. "Bigger ones pretty, too." she added, motioning the other child's wings. She then pointed to the hallway that they had been heading down earlier. "Look at stars?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Well... that's true. I can't say that I really remember being a child, and I've never had any but Adhara, so I'll trust your judgment and feel less like I got the raw end of the deal," he replied, smiling a bit sheepishly, though he obviously didn't much mind the fact that his daughter was so rambunctious and other wise hyper all. the. time. Brown eyes caught better sight of little girl, and noted her bizarre and inhuman features, before glancing up at the fae. "Say... Not to be rude or anything like that, but, where did your girl come from?"
"Mmm... I dun'no. They get me in trouble a lot. And then Noah yells at me," she commented, pouting up at the man in question, who was distracted by conversation, as usual. The other tentacle, as if on cue, went to slip itself around 'Zuba's waist, before Adhara caught it in one hand and gave it a glare, as though trying to reprimand it herself. All that did was bring the attention back to herself, and the appendage was once again petting down her hair, or stroking her cheek, or messing with her skirt. The other continued happily basking in the attention it was getting, practically snuggling with 'Zuba's hand. Adhi's wings fluttered with the compliment, and she smiled.
"Well, yeah, but your's is all gold and stuff. It's pretty!!" But when the other girl mentioned stars, Adhara had to realign her brain and remember where she was at the moment. "Oh right!! We're gon'na see the stars, aren't we?" she said, giggling in her slight embarrassment for forgetting it.

Nataya smiled serenely, then blinked at the question. Her girl...? Oh, he must have meant 'Zuba! "My sister came from a lab," she said as if it were as normal as wearing pants. "Momma didn't specify which lab though....why?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
'Zuba watched the exchange between the wriggling purple limb and Adhara, curious. "Get in trouble?" she asked, looking the other girl in the eye. How could they get her in trouble? The one she was petting seemed well behaved. She smiled slightly; this one seemed very nice, though she wasn't so sure about the other one. "Not pretty." she said, shaking her head and smiling slightly. Her expression brightened a little. "Yes!" she said, her hand moving away from the tentacle to tag Adhi on the shoulder. "Tag!" 'Zuba said, grinning before jogging down the corridor.

Ah, so they were sisters then. He would keep that in mind for future reference or whatever else he might need it for. "Curious. Adhi came from a lab, as well. It was a... strange place, I'll say that much." he went to put his hand a'top Adhara's head, only to find that the toddler had run off after 'Zuba, in hot pursuit of the other girl.
Her tentacles stretched out as far as they could go, barely bypassing the reach of her arms, and she ran down the hall as best she could without tripping on her untied shoe laces. She stopped, however, when she caught sight of a large room with a massive, holographic display of the planets. Gaping, she slowly stepped one foot in the room before remembering her friend. "'Zuba!!" she called, "Come lookit!!" She stepped into the large room finally, and walked around it, staring at all the huge displays about various parts of the solar system. It was so pretty!!

Nataya tilted her head to the side, thinking for a moment. "Maybe they came from the same lab. They both have special extras." she suggested, smiling. Her gaze followed his hand to the now-absent child. That's when she realized her sibling was gone as well. She sighed, not seeming to surprised that the girl had run off.
She skidded to a stop, claws screeching across the floor a bit. She ran back, stopping in the door way. "Whoa...." she said, eyes widening as she looked at the room. Sister hadn't been lying.....they really had the stars here! She made her way to the center of the room, turning slowly as she took everything in, awestruck. "Wow...stars." she murmered, not sure what she wanted to look at first. It was all so amazing... She walked foward, her eyes still looking all over the place.

"It's possible," Noah replied, nodding a bit. "In fact, I think we've run across a few other sp- er, kids who have come from that same lab. They're pretty varied in appearance, though, so it's hard to tell..." he trailed off as he watched Adhara slip into a room somewhere down the hall, while the other girl sped off a bit further, before doubling-back and following his daughter. With a sigh and a wry chuckle, he pointed his thumb down the hallway. "Think we should follow them?"
Adhara was in just as much awe as her counterpart was, staring up at the planets and the displays with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. Then, one specific display caught her attention. It was something about trying to find life on other planets, but all she cared was that it had buttons and strange looking models of little grey men on the table. She laughed, before pushing one of the buttons. The voice coming out of the speaker in the panel startled her into jumping backward, before she listening to the man babble on about the possibility of men on other planets. She giggled at what the men looked like, one of her tentacles trying to reach into the display, but failing when it came upon the glass cover. She smiled over at 'Zuba. "I like this place!"

Nataya nodded, listening. There were more like 'Zuba and Adhara? It wasn't surprising, but it was still new information to her. She then looked back up to the adult. "Yeah...who know's where else they'll run to if we don't." She didn't know about his child, but her sister had a habit of playing "hideanddon'tfindmeforhalfanhour" in public places when she ran off.
'Zuba, after a moment of regaining her composure, looked over to her friend who seemed to have found something interesting. It had buttons and made sounds...was it a video game? She walked over, inspecting the little men who stood on the table. She ignored the man's voice, but turned her head when she heard Adhara. "So do I." she said, grinning from ear to ear. "Is nice. Pretty too." She then pointed back to the little figurine on the table, one claw tapping against the glass. "Funny looking."

Noah smiled a bit and nodded in reply, before heading down the hallway, assuming that Nataya was going to be following him, if not leading the way. He chuckled softly, remembering the last time that he'd taken Adhara somewhere, and she'd run off to go look at sharks with that other child she'd come across. Or... who'd come across her, to be more accurate. "We can just hope we find them before they cause any trouble," he commented. Though Adhara had never caused trouble in a public place yet, he wasn't too sure that he could completely trust her to stay out of trouble. There was still a high possibility that something might happen, especially with how grabby her tentacles could be at times.
After listening to a couple things that the man had said, Adhara decided that he was boring, and that men living on the moon didn't make any sense whatsoever. She grinned at 'Zuba's comment. "Yeah, they are," she said, nodding, before her attention was seized by something else. This time it was a rocket model, which looked large in the room but was rather small compared to the real thing, that caught her attention. She bounced over to it, and leaned on what was supposedly a protective railing, gazing up at it. But, of course, it wasn't what it looked like that interested her. It was whether or not they could get inside of it. "Hey, 'Zuba?" she asked, looking back at the girl, and pointing up at the rocket. "D'you think that we can get inside'a there?"

Nataya followed in suit, worried slightly. She hoped that 'Zuba didn't get lost....or worse, go into an 'I want it now' fit. She rubbed her arm slightly at the painful memory of the last fit, which had been over a picture book. Thank heavens that hadn't scarred.... "Yeah..." Nataya said, nodding once. "Well, if we hear any alarms, we'll know where to find them." Her tone was only half-joking; she didn't think Noah's daughter would cause much trouble. It was her sister causing a ruckus she was worried about.
'Zuba turned her head to look at the object of the other girl's attention, tilting her head to the side. Whoa, that was definately more interest than 'the scientific theory and probability of humanoid creatures inhabiting the moon'. "Cool...." she murmered softly to herself, walking over to stand beside Adhara, getting a better look at it. She the looked over to her, smiling. "Let's see?" she suggested, pointing to the large metal model. After all, it wouldn't be anything to climb over this railing. Without waiting for an answer, she climbed it like a ladder, jumping down onto the other side. She turned back around, waiting patiently.
