~~ CHARACTER TEKTEK BEAUTY CONTEST! ~~{finishes Sept 30th}

Welcome to Emania's first Character Tektek beauty contest!

(and sorry for the capitals XD)


A while back when we were talking over what contests to make, an avatar contest looked like the one that could give everyone a equal chance to participate biggrin

"So what's it all about?"
In this contest you are judged on your ability to design avatar designs (using tektek.com) that respond to the criteria of each 'round'. In a way, it's the Emanian version of a beauty contest ^_~
You must:
*Use tektek.com for the avatar enteries & (if possible) list all items used
*The 'beauty contestant' is your character/s
*All rounds must be completed by the 30th September (0 cool
*If you have more than 1 character, you can enter for all of them (eg if you ahve 2 characters you can ahve 2 in each section) - but these will be taken AS A WHOLE and judged as such. Or if you wish to alternate characters (eg characterA for formal, character B for casual) you can do that.
*Judges can enter, but they will not be allowed to win anything.
*no bribing the judges -haha

"What are you judged on?"
*Creativity & artistic prettiness
*Suitability to your character
*Ability to 'answer' the theme (eg doe syour formal entery actually look formal?)

Each entery will be marked out of 10 by the judges. The totals will be added together and the contestant with the highest score will win.



"What's the Prize?"
Thr prize fund depends on donations and volunteers. Here's how it stands so far:
1st place - 1,500 gold and a simple art 'commision' from Dragontamer363, and 2 stat points to place as you please.
2nd place: 500 gold and 2 stat points to place as you please.
3rd Place: 200 gold and 2 stat points to place as you please.

*Round 1 ~ War

*Round 2 ~ Formal Dance

*Round 3 ~ Swimming/summer

*Round 4 ~ Winter

*Round 5 ~ Future/Modern clothes
(ieyour characters as they would dress if they were in our time or the future)





"How do I submit?"

All rounds should have been submitted by Sept 30th. (You won't be told when to start each round, so you can do them all at once if you like)

How to submit:

1- make a post in this topic with your username and character name/s clearly displayed, and the various round names in a list.
2- go away and design your tekteks
3- post your tektek for each round on your post (ie edit your post)
4- you can keep on modifying your tekteks up until Sept30th - but be warned~ we'll have our eyes peeled for copying!
5- By sept 30th all 5 rounds should have been completed and the tekteks up.
6- if you decide you have finsihed before sept 30th put in bold letters at the bottom of your post FINISHED. You are not allowed to alter your tekteks from this point on.
7- if you have a problem, Pm one of the judges.

I relaly loved all the enterie shere. While it was a hard descision, Aquiras seemed to all be consistantly well put together (with the theme of blue both aesthetically pleasing and true to character) and consistantly true to Akira's character and 'feel'. They expressed the themes very well and were all fun to look at. so that's why I award her first place smile

I chose this for second place, because I loved the contrast between aron and lucas and how on each tektek their characters were so well shown. I also saw many deisgns that really caught my eye, and a couple that certianly made me giggle. I love lucas' future entery for origionality, and I love teh use of the 'lusty scoundrel' for Aron.

Best in show
There were so many great eneterie sthat I feel all should win, but of corse that's not how it works. So I added this categroy, to show off what i felt were the best examples of each theme.
you dont' get a prize i'm afraid, but you certainly get gloating rights-lol biggrin

Best War~ Andy!
There's just soemthing about this tektek that I love. It really captures the feel fo what it is to be pre-guns ad what it is to be a rouge. The black armor works beuatifully to look at when coupled with the tattered cape - with slick armor and rougish manuverability mixed with teh relaity of war. The samurai sword also works very well with teh whoel outfit. good job

Best Formal~ b10!
I love the origionality of this piece. Like b10 says, Vence isn';t mucf ro formal, but he looks so smart and polished and maintains the sens eof dignity his characetr always seems to keep. He even changed his hair smile Nice and simple, and it works beautifully.

Best Summer~ Izno!
All the summer enteries were pretty good, but Izno's caught my eye. It has an excellent use of colour, with teh clothes matching the background, so you really feel like the nighttime is authentic. It also is vry true of Sangre's character, but the water adds that summery feel. well done smile

Best Winter~ Yirillon's aron!
It was a hard descision for me between Yirilon's aron or Aquira's akira here, but i wnet with aron ebacuse it shows up the characetr so well, and it looks so neat. Not only do you keep the firey red, but it shows the fun-loving, childish character of him very well. it's adorable and very very wintery.

Best Future~ Aquira!
I loved the use of colours here, and the flow of everything. It really gives a great sense of magic and power, while still keeping to the character of Akira. Very well done biggrin
