Totally think Drizzt is hot totally tops Legolas(sorry ladies) who loves these books as much as me????who is your favorite character? why? mine is drizzt and but i also love Zafferen too. i find that it is an interesting thing the way the cultures of the dark elves clash with the light elves. anyway i like the style and drizzt choice in weapons. Books: Dark Elf Trilogy (homeland, exile, Sojurn) IceWind Dale Trilogy (the crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, The Halflings Gem) Legacy Of the Drow Series(the Legacy, Starless Night,Siege of Darkness, Passage to Dawn) Paths of Darkness(The Silent Blade,The Spine of The World, Servant of the Shard, Sea of swords) The Cleric Quintet(Canticle,In Sylvan Shadows, Night Masks, the Fallen Fortress, THe Chaos Curse) The Hunter's Blades Trilogy(the Thousand Orcs, The Lone Drow, The Two Swords)
okay alot i know but i am still reading it i am getting the Paths of darkness next i just finished the last book of Legacy of the Drow series man i tell ya it is driving me crazy i totaly love it but i think that Catt-bre should chose drizzt.

This topic is a pleasant surprise.
Personally, I heart Artemis Entreri. I positively hated him up until The Silent Blade, then he became my favorite once I finished Servant of the Shard. There's just something about him. whee

I enjoyed the series, but stopped reading after Legacy. It just seemed to lack something that the earlier ones did, and I hear that Salvatore is kinda being forced to write the books now instead of writing the ones he'd prefer to write (i.e. writing about Drizzt when he'd rather write about Entreri). Having said all that, I like both Drizzt and Entreri and Gwen is awesome!

Those books are among my favorite. I totally love the drow (although not as much as Legolas) and the world they live in. I have read many books from Forgotton Realms and I've pretty much loved all of them. Have you gotten the graphic novels about our dark elf? Look for them at the bookstores.

One of my favorite scenes remains to be where Drizzt, Wulfgar, and Guen take out the cave of giants in The Crystal Shard. heart

So I was feeling a bit down about a week ago, and because he's an absolute doll, a friend of mine (different from the who got me the heart signed heart graphic novel) got me The Pirate King. Finished it a few days ago, and, well...it coulda been better, IMO. A lot of Bob's recent work could be better. Like I told the heart signed heart copy friend the other day, I think his last really good book was Promise of the Witch-King (and not because it has AE in it, I swear!). I think that was his last good work because he set out to write a dungeon crawl, and he hit the mark squarely.
Road of the Patriarch had a few problems, the largest in my mind being Calihye. I hate her. I pretend she doesn't exist in PotW-K. stare
Drizzt just needs to go back to being kick-a**. 4laugh

Yes, I started reading the Transiitions Series and got kind of disgusted with the book that was mostly involved in the Barbarians' torture stuff. But, my husband and son got me started on these and I will probably start on them again. We just got the Pirate King so I have a few to read to catch up. I truly love the Drizzt.

"The Barbarians' torture stuff"? That doesn't sound like The Orc King; that sounds more like Spine of the World, which is a part of the Paths of Darkness series, not the Transitions. Am I not remembering correctly? (It has been a while since I read TOK...)

I just finished Sea of Swords and loved it so now I'm starting with the next set. I hope they are as good. I guess Spine of the World was just a little too dark for me, but it works out good in the end. This author is really top-notch.

It's not like he has only one or two to get mixed up. 3nodding Most people consider SotW to be one of his weaker books, for many reasons. I myself just wasn't very interested in the storyline, and Wulfgar, while I've always felt bad for him and he holds a special place in my heart, has never been one of my favorite characters. I take it you're starting on Thousand Orcs? Let us know what you think when you finish!
