OK, so I have only read Twilight because I have to save money for the rest, but being the noisy person I am mrgreen , I go to these topics that have spoilers. In some, they mention "imprinting" or something like that. What is it?

Highlight below for explanation (I whited it out)
I think it is Explained in Eclipse but it, at least for me, seems too complicated to explain but it is basicaly when a werewolf sees their soulmate and BANG true love at first sight execpt that sometimes the object of affection is just a baby or kid and when that happens they are not romanticaly involved they just want to make the kid the happiest in the world and, later on when the kid grows up, it will probably lead to true love because the imprinter so to speak loves (if not romanticaly due to age) the imprintee the imprintee is loved with such devotion that they would be stupid not to return the feelings.. there I think I explained it pretty well actualy if I do say so myself hope that helps!
Oh and I borrow books from my friends and ask for spoilers about movies I may want to see in order to save money too so you aren't alone in that sense... well about the books at least I don't know about the movie part sweatdrop

I'm gonna white mine out too, if I can do it right.
Okay, it's just like Kari_Twilight_Mist said. It's basically true love, but stronger. For example Quil and Claire. She's, like, 3. But I thought that it was kinda weird. I think that the imprintee grows up like any normal person does, except for the fact that they're dating a werewolf. Stephenie Meyer doesn't make it real clear if a werewolf can imprint again after th imrpintee dies. And imprinting can't be forced. And it isn't really physical, except for ... Yeah. I think you know what. But it isn't clear if they can do that. I think that they can, as long as they don't phase in the middle of it.
I hope that helps.
