Personality: Earth loves everyone and everything— quite literally, in fact, as she can often be found holding deep philosophical conversations with the nearest rock or flower. She’s certainly eccentric, and maybe even a little crazy (which some blame on hitting the drugs a bit too hard), but altogether a harmless mess of crazy hippie lovin’.
Aside from her love of discussions with inanimate objects and “fun” recreational substance usage, other favorite pastimes of this laid back Kanus include napping for long periods, daydreaming, digging in flowerbeds (the more expensive and well-tended, the better) and, of course, rolling in the dirt. She just doesn’t feel complete without some scrap of self-dyed fabric and a good wad of mud ground into her fur at all times.
History:
Prompt: Earth has come to a shocking epiphany with her newest and favoritist conversation partner Mr. Earthworm in the park… but just what is it, exactly? Discuss.
"You know, good Earthworm sir," the Kanus began, sitting cross-legged, holding the other on the palm of her paw. "Don't you think how strange, oh how very strange this world is?" She gazed at the other seriously, all the while nodding. "Mmhmm, so you do agree!"
Anyone walking by would have thought she had a screw loose in her brain (perhaps it was all that rolling in the dirt that caused it), but Earth was convinced that she heard what other people couldn't. She could hear inanimate objects talking, she insisted, and that those seemingly insignificant little creatures would only chatter in her presence. They were terribly shy, Earth had often said, and it had taken her a while for her to properly commune with nature and get them to talk to her.
They said she was crazy. (No, not the little creatures she talked to; they were perfectly polite once she got to know them.)
She said they just didn't understand.
"I mean," She went on. "We Kanus are similar to dogs, the Koshka are similar to cats, and the Occello...oh you get the idea! So why, why isn't there a species similar to insects? It isn't exactly fair, is it? I rather think it would be interesting!" To an observer, it seemed like the earthworm wasn't listening, and was simply content to crawl along on her palm. "But, Mr Earthworm, sir!" She suddenly exclaimed, sitting upright. "What a notion! Yes, probably, there are such species, hidden away in some other city out there! How terribly interesting! Go on, Mr Earthworm! ...Digging underground tunnels! Yes, yes, indeed! How about your fellow insects then?"
And so, Earth continued, babbling on and on.
Well, at least she was happy.
