With a frown on her pretty face, Inati moved through the pride lands. She didn't pay attention to where her paws fell, for they moved at the direction of her heart... Her mind was spinning around a single problem, or rather an entity which made her think there was a problem.
Her sister was increasingly distant, all of a sudden... Tenari was ofted seen darting off to walk on her own... Ghosting toward the woods... She never really seemed to have time to spend with her sister...
Venati was with her own mate... So perhaps she had not yet noticed the difference in her spirit-touched daughter... But Ina did...
"What's up Tena.." She muttered to herself. "What is wrong?"

The woods were always somewhat quiet, a place where one could think and ponder. About what exactly, he supposed depended on who the one thinking was. Bakari's own life seemed to be out of the loop lately, with his family seeming to fall apart by the seams. His mother had seemed torn lately, though she wouldn't tell him what of, and his cousin had often been gone from the pride. Then there was the issue with his father, but he knew so little about it he couldn't really pinpoint any of it. It saddened him, to say the very least, but there wasn't much he could really do about it.
The large lion moved swiftly between the trees, a gray body of sculpted muscle that seemed graceful among the underbrush. Bakari himself had been a little out of his own head, not paying much attention to the things going on around him. After all, he hadn't noticed as he walked through the vicinity of his own mate and her sister.

It was a good thing her heart was paying attention... Inati's pulse leapt at the sudden apperance of Bakari -seemingly as entangled in his thoughts as she was- in the field. She pushed away her worries in that moment, leaping toward him. A few quick racing strides brought her to his side. "BAKARI!"
She jumped at him playfully, bumping her shoulder to his. "I missed you my love... And you look as troubled as I... Is there anything I can do, Heart of my Heart?"

Bakari could feel his heart catch a beat as the familiar voice called across the field. His head turned abruptly and a grin grew across his face. "Inati!" His body relaxed and he gave a low purr, weaving around her with gentle nudges. "I have missed you as well, love." He arched a brow? "As troubled as you?" He head shook and he nuzzled her cheek gently. "My troubles aren't concerning. What's wrong, love?"

"Oh just worrying about mother... And now Tena has taken to acting oddly... She's always running off, sometimes not returning until the next morning... It's so unlike her, I worry..." She paused, words catching in her throat. "I do not know the condition or whereabouts of our brother... She is the only true-sibling I have... I don't want to lose her..."

"Hmm" Bakari glanced at her lightly, his body sliding up beside hers to offer a comforting warmth. "Tenari is a smart girl. I don't think that there would be much to worry about." He gave a light smile and nosed her cheek and his tail curled around her body. "I am sorry you're drifting from your family, my love." His eyes closed gently as he tucked her head beneath his. "If it helps, I am here to fill the gap."

"Now you're here..." She corrected, snuggling closer to him. "But I haven't seen you enough lately... And if you're going to be saving me from my loneliness, you'll have to be around a lot, lot lot lot more..."
She purred, nipping at him playfully. "Do you think you can do that, my handsome one?"

"I'll do everything in my power to try." Bakari smiled lovingly down at her, brushing his tail along her side. He lowered his head and touched his nose to hers, looking her in the eye squarely. "I love you, Ina." The lion licked her nose gently before nuzzling her. "And I agree. We need to be spending more time with each other." His ears pressed back as he thought.

"I certainly like the sound of that." Inati laughed and curled closer to him, easily meeting his eye.
"I love you, Bakari." She returned with all honesty, resting her head on his shoulder. "And yes, I want to spend more time together... I miss you when you're gone..."
She frowned slightly, then glanced at him again. "Perhaps the next time you go back to your family, or wherever, I could go with you?"
