Once again she had volunteered to take her place amongst those watching the borders of the pride's lands, if only to get herself away from the other lionesses. She was convinced that something about her travels before had changed her. While she knew that these lands were her home and she was happy to have returned her temper was short when it came to having orders growled at her by the shadow stalker.
As far as the others? It seemed the same to the point where she was starting to value the solitude she found in wandering the lands alone. It wasn't like her, no, but she figured that change was inevitable and perhaps this was her own personal change.

Solitude was something that could only last so long, though, especially on the borders of a pride. There were always other stalking about, and Dath was always one of those others that they should be wary of. He relished in torturing any soul that he came across, whether it was physically or verbally.
His tail flopped behind him as he walked along, boredly wondering where to go next. His mind had told him to search out that goddess again, but no one had been able to lead him in any direction that would help. They all said no, fleeing from him when he dismissed them. Mortals, they were so useless when they weren't entertaining him.
His eyes caught sight of a familiar coat. Intriuged, he raised his head to confirm that it indeed was that lioness from a bit ago that he had come across. What was she doing out here? It didn't seem like the same place, though they could all mix into one melting pot if Dath wasn't paying much attention to where he was.
"You again," he stated, obviously wanting her attention for a moment.

She glanced over her shoulder, brow lofting slightly at the sound of a voice, one more familiar than not even if she had only heard it the once before. Her brow lofted and she found herself unable to do anything more than smirk for a moment.
"Me again... And you." She nodded once before turning around so that she could look at him properly instead of just over her shoulder. "You sure do travel, don't you. Do those wings of yours carry you where you want to be or is it those big, strong paws?"
Never mind that she had a job she was supposed to be doing at the moment or that she should be a bit more defensive about his presence near her home. He was a god and she was certain that they could very well be wherever they wanted to be and if this was where he wanted to be? Well, who was she to stop him.

Dath narrowed his eyes, trying to discern just what that smirk meant. Their previous meeting had ended well. She had better not think that she was any better than she was, before. She fed the compliments well, but he could only take so many until he was tired of the repetitions.
"I travel wherever my paws carry me," he said confidently. "Flying by wing was customary when I was younger. Now I don't need to, though I can if I want to." He didn't mention that chasing after someone and attacking from the air was about the only real use and thrill he got from using his wings anymore. Otherwise they were mere appendages that needed constant care so they never got in his way.
"It seems that my paws wanted me to see you one more time." He let a grin grow upon his face, but his words were a little more final. After two times, ther really wasn't any need to see another mortal again.

"They've carried you to the borders of the Mzawa'kondo; the lands I call home. I found what I was looking for out in the open spaces and made my way back here... But I've been restless. It seems that once one has been elsewhere the repeat of same old seems far more hum-drum than it once was." She shook her head slowly before glancing up at the god. "Better to move on before things become dull? I would hate to bore you."
She could only imagine what happened to those that were unable to hold his attention in a positive way. If this was to be their last meeting than so be it. She would thank fortune for crossing their paths just as she would for parting them before things became... Troublesome.

"Hmmm." Dath never understood why lions gathered themselves together under the term of 'pride'. It looked more like a way for them to depend upon one another instead of doing everything themselves, and for that he didn't understand. It would be...better for one to do everything themselves. Leaning against one another just seemed like a trap for weakness.
"I see," he said quietly. "Well, something to take note of." He gazed around the lands, judging just where it was that she had decided to return to and stay. Resless or not, it was what she considered her home. He wasn't impressed, but then nothing much impressed him. Land was land, and whether it had water, trees, or nothing on it, it was all the same to him.
"I assume then that I was merely curious on how yu were doing, and my paws carried me here." Not that he would have had a clue as to where she was, but he would have found her eventually if he really wanted to. Mortals were much easier to find than other immortals.

"I've been doing well... Things here don't seem to change much beyond what Fortune brings us from time to time. The hunters have been asked to join the warriors in patrolling our lands and I was the first to volunteer. There's more chance of meeting others out here than there is in there." She glanced back over her shoulder for a moment before looking to the large male once more. "And you? Dare I ask what else caught your interest after we last parted ways?"

The god ruffled his wings together, looking at Mwindaji with little amusement. What had brought him here? He knew why he was wandering, but he hadn't actually seen anything or heard of anything that was helping him. Maybe a piece of him wanted to see her once more, just to make sure that everything was settled. It certainly looked like it was, so he didn't bother to bring that concern up. He'd just wave it off as nothing and it would never see the light of day.
"I was looking for someone, actually," he answered gruffly. "Another one like me." He arched a brow for a moment. "Have you seen any?"
The idea of Fortune made him double think for a moment, but that was dismissed. Probably some foolish thing that mortals believed in again. He made his own fate, and that's how it should be.

She could live until she was old enough for her muzzle to begin greying and in that time she was certain that she would never meet another like the God that stood before her. Dath was, if anything, one of a kind and she was certain that, somehow, the other Gods were content in the knowledge of that. She doubted that was what he had meant in saying that he was looking for another like himself though.
"No, I can't say that I have... Just others like me, some of which could use an attitude adjustment." She snorted softly, nose wrinkling ever so slightly at the thought of Nyatia and her orders. "If your paws lead you to me surely they will lead you to him... Or her."

A growl emitted from his throat out of frusration. Why were mortals so easy to find, but immortals not? It didn't make any ounce of blasted sense to him. He flexed his claws out of his forepaws, letting them pierce at the soft earth below.
"It figures that Gods are more elusive than mortals," he said dismissively. "At least I know not to look through here again."
He let his eyes look past her, to the horizon. So far, but he knew that it was where he needed to go.
"Perhaps you need to smack a few of your fellows around if they're not to your liking," he said. "Using me could be a good excuse."

"I'm sure that a time will come when I find myself doing just that." She nodded slowly, letting her gaze follow his for a moment. "The world can't go on peacefully forever. Something always happens to set it on edge again one way or another..."
Her eyes drifted back to him. "I'll take seeing you again as a sign that things will be happening soon. After all, it was not long after our last... Meeting... That I found the one I'd been sent in search of."

His ear twitched, a little curious on the idea. Him, actually helping with something? Mortals were superstitious, especially when anything was linked to a god. Well, whatever. If he had been of help to some sort, he would be oaky with it. Only because he was okay with Mwindaji.
He let his tail flop behind him as he looked over at her, offering a quick nod. "Well, then. If we meet again, perhaps you'll think of me as your Fortune instead of whatever it is you lay your trust in." He didn't quite understand it, but whatever. If it was true, then she would certainly be happy to see him again....and he might just try to visit against just to see her reaction.
"I believe I will part. I need to find this blasted immortal as soon as possible." He was tired of looking. He just wanted to get the damn hunt over with so he could go back to being lazy.

"Perhaps you have always been my Fortune, only now we've met and I know you by another name." She grinned at the thought of that, her tail giving an idle flick behind her as she turned away, glancing back over her shoulder as an afterthought. "In which case, I am certain you will find the one you're looking for... Fortune has a funny way of guiding us like that."
Turning back to continue on her way she found herself wondering for a brief moment what the others would think if she told them of her meeting, deciding against it. She didn't need to tell them of her encounters. The last thing she needed was for the news that she had spoken with a god to carry to the Mfalme. She did not wish to become their new Speaker over two bouts of verbal intercourse.

He grinned. "Just keep saying that, and I'll be back." It was such a pleasure to take credit for the things he had no control over. It meant that he could always use it as something against her, especially if she truely put her faith into it. It would feed into his power, and he was always intent on makinghimself stronger. The curse he had laid on his daughter.....it had drained him more than he originally realized, and he needed to regain that power back.
"Farewell," he said with a deep voice, his body instantly becoming whisps of black fire that fadded into smoke. It held onto his lion form for a moment longer before disappearing slowly, the smoke rising upwards and the fire absorbing itself into the ground. He had wanted to reach that horizon, and now he would be in there in the next moment. Always the best way to travel.
