All right so I was waiting for Mythbusters to come on Discovery (God bless that show) and saw the commercial for this game.

First off it is from Square however it's from Tri-Ace division if anyone knows that division I believe they made The Star Ocean game. So expect J-RPG cliches in this game.

Second of all it's exclusive for the 360 only.

Here is the Wiki page. And I think it's out?

Nah.

You pick one character and the party does everything by themselves.

Turn based RPGs need to DIE. I will give you a few remakes (like FFIV for DS), but ALL new RPGs should shed this thing of the past in favor of real-time battles.

Action RPG games are just like turn-based expect they take away the some strategy elements in favor of intensity.

I don't know, man. I can relate that kind of thing to chess. Then again.... some people don't like chess.....

I like FFX's turn-based system... where you actually had to put some strategy into the fights and you saw/could indirectly change turn order.

I don't like the other FF's where you wait for the bar to fill up.

Ef that. Sure there was SOME strategy, but it had nice visuals and a halfway decent story offset by a slowass battle system. Not to mention that you had to essentially level up AND choose your slots on the ord board/whatever.

FFX's was literally turn-based...which is why it was so great. I'm also thinking of Lost odyssey. Where everyone was directed at the beginning, but the type of move they did and their stats for that move determined how soon their turn was.

Madden First. Until then, leave my turn based RPGs alone.
