Boy, was she tired. Having just come back from a hunt empty-handed - again - the lionness dropped herself into the shade of a rocky outcrop, tongue lolling out of her mouth as she panted. Wrinkling her nose a little, Azriell'Kyupe surveyed her surroundings, crystalline blue eyes scanning the area for any sign of movement, or life. A nap was just what she needed right now, but she wanted to make sure that the area was clear first, and that she wouldn't be disturbed. Her one brown paw - the front left one - pawed at her ear to swat away the flies, a disgruntled growl finding it's way out of the irritated lionness.
She didn't know what was wrong. Usually she was rather good at hunting, despite her lack of camoflague. She could at least catch a hare to feed herself. But lately, her skills had declined to nothing. The prey spotted her from miles away, and were gome before she'd even had the chance to blink.
"Maybe I'm just tired..." Azriell mumbled to herself, feeling her eyelids becoming heavy as she laid her head into her pas, her hind curling around a little, so she was curled up just like a cat might.

She had caught a decent meal and was very happy with the result. Dragging the large carcass of the young zebra across the savannah though was hard work. Still, she was getting there, her den wasn't that much further.
The scent of another lion caught her attention and she lifted her small, rounded head to gaze out over the pridelands. A smile graced her maw. she was never one to simply ignore another female and this one didn't look too happy.
"Hello there." She whispers, her voice a gentle muurr. "Are you okay?" She takes a step towards the grey and tan female her ears lifted forwards. "You seem rather upset."

Ears tensed, and her eyes snapped open as the scnet and sound of another lionness reached her, Azi uncurling from where she was to find herself looking up at another Pridelander. Or at least, she assumed so - she was dragging that carcass of a young zebra further into the Prideland territory, presumably towards the dens. Azriell cocked her head to the right a little as she watched the lionness approach, forcing a warm smile onto her face.
She gave a nod of greeting as a hello was given, followed by a question. Azi couldn't help but have her forced smile become a real one - sure, you did get some jerks in the Pridelands, but you also got some rather nice lions, such as this one.
"I'm fine," she tried to reassure the lionness, getting to her feet, "Just having a little trouble hunting, is all."

Radi smiled broadly "Well come with me then, I'm heading back to my den and there's only me and my son to feed, there will be plenty left over I hate to see it go to waste."
even without knowing the others name Radi could recognise a sad lioness when she saw one. She had been that person at one point, lost and alone now though she had a beautiful son and her life was happy, good and all out peaceful. She had gotten over her fear of hunting, which she had owned as a very young female.
She was free now and safe, home in the pridelands. "I won't take no for an answer!" She chuckles in a motherly manner, "Come!"

Azriell'Kyupe blinked in surprise at the hospitality and kindness of the female - and she didn't even know her name yet! Sure, most pridelanders were nice enough, but the kindness and generosity of some individuals still surprised Azi. Maybe she herself should try becoming a little more giving. A genuine smile crept up the lioness' face as her tail flicked to the left, a grateful bow of her head following as the lionness added a few more words.
"Thank you - I...that's very kind of you."
The mention of a son threw her for a few moments, since she wasn't exactly too sure around children, but you never knew - the son could be fully grown. And if not, she'd have to put up with him. It was the least she could do, after all.

Radi chuckled lightly bending "My names Radi, come, it's not far" She bent her head then and sank her teeth back in to the carcass pulling it in the direction she had been heading.
It would be nice to have another female around, she smiled wistfully at the thought, she loved ghilt, but he was growing up, finding his own way in the world and it would be nice to have some older friends, older company.

Azi flashed a shy smile as she slowly began to follow the second lionness, ears flickering slightly as she received a name. Radi? It was nice - simple yet pretty. "I'm Azriell'Kyupe. But most call me Azriell, or Azi."
She felt like she should've helped Radi to drag back the carcass, but she seemed to be doing fine by herself. And she didn't know where to grab it so she wasn't in the way, anyway. So the female just padded alongside the other, occasionally glancing sideways with a friendly smile.

As they came to a small copse of trees with a small incline of rocks at one side Radi finally dropped the carcass and straightened her jaw a little awquardly before she turned to azri and smile. "Thats a very pretty name my young friend. " She settled quietly crossing her front paws and flickering her tail.
"You don't seem very happy my dear, what ails you my sweet?" She smiles in a very serene manner, she could tell there was something wrong it was that motherly instinct kicking in, having a son made her radar flash when ever there was something wrong with someone younger than herself.

A small copse of trees Azi didn't recognize seemed to be their destination, and Azriell smiled a little awkwardly as Radi dropped the carcass, straightened her jaw and turned to face her again, sitting herself down. Azriell followed suit, placing her hind on the ground, still with an awkward smile on her face.
She blinked a little surprise as Radi asked what was upsetting her, and Azi just knew instantly that she wasn't talking about the hunting. She guessed having a son made it easier to tell what was wrong. Azi wrinkled her nose a little, debating whether to say anything or not. But Radi seemed kind and understanding, and like the type of lionness who wouldn't judge.
She took a deep breath, before speaking, "Well, I...met this Leopard. I first met him when I was really small - a cub. And he left without saying goodbye, and I felt...angry. But then he came back, and it all melted away, because I...I really liked him. Really, really liked him. This time he stayed a little longer, but then he left again. I haven't seen him since, but I just...I just know that he's not coming back. He likes someone else."
Her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment as she looked to the floor somewhat sadly.

Radi's serene smile never faded as she watched the young female. Ah, so it was love. Well more of a crush really. "Let me tell you something my motheronce told me, males will come and go from your life but when you truely find the one, he will stay with you forever even if he isn't there." She lets out a sigh her gaze turning to the perfect azure blue of the savannah. "i think that if a male loves you as much as you love him he will stay at your side forever. You shouldn't be sad my dear, there are, as they say, plenty more fish in the sea."
"Now, dig in to this meat, it will make you feel better!"

Azriell glanced up as Radi began speaking, no smile on her face to begin with. However, after a few words a smile began to form, growing bigger as Radi went on. She was right - there was no point in moping over Beau. She had her whole life ahead of her. Radi invited her to begin eating, so the lionness took a cautious step forwards, gently lowering her head to begin eating at the meat. Just before she did, thoguh, she raised her head again, flashing a smile towards Radi.
"...Thanks, Radi."
With that, she took a bite of the carcass, ripping the meat awya and beginning to chew. She chewed thoughtfully for several moments, swallowing before glancing to her new friend once again. "So...you have just one son?"

Radi smiled a very cheery smile and nodded "Yes, he's almost fully grown now though and I don't think I could be happier, he has grown in to a wonderful boy, so caring. I really don't know how I will tell him he will have little brothers and sisters soon."
She chuckles and shakes her head, that was a conversation she wasn't really willing to get in to but she would have to tell him before she gave birth. her poor boy, she loved him so much she couldn't help but wonder how he would react to little siblings.

Azriell smiled, nodding a little as she explained about her boy. However, the lionness was a little taken aback by Radi's revelation that her son was soon to have siblings.
"You're...pregnant?" Azi spoke, rather surprised. A pregnant mother, still hunting? Shouldn't she be resting? Surely she might hurt the cubs if she continued to run around and hunt? She managed to disguise her surprise rather well, gulping down another mouthful of meat.
"Well...if you need any help, don't be afraid to ask."
A warm smile spread up the lionness' face. it was the least she could do.

Radi smiled and let a little airy laugh roll over her lips. "Yes, I'm having cubs again, it will be some what of a surprise to ghilt." She shakes her head gently her gaze clearly dreamy. "Oh Im fine, I hunted on my own until Ghilt was born and he was a wonderfully big cub, strong and beautiful."
"I could perhaps use a little help when they are born though, it can be quite difficult to leave your cubs while you have to hunt, though I do think that Ghilt will help. He's really my little angel, the light of my life. I think I would have given up if it wasn't for him.' She smiles, speaking of her son always made her feel extra warm inside.
"You are welcome to stay wit us if yo wish. I'm sure Ghilt would appreciate someone younger around to talk to."

Ghilt? Azi smiled, assuming that was her cub. Her thoughts were confirmed as the lionness continued, soothing Azi's worries about her hunting. So her son would help her? That was somewhat of a relief. Depending on the number of cubs, both her and her son might need to hunt, so Azriell would be more than happy to look after the cubs. Whether they would get along...that was a different matter. She never seemed to get on that well with cubs.
"I'd be happy to help - whatever you need," Azriell spoke, a warm smile still on her face, "And I'd quite like to meet Ghilt - he sounds like a wonderful son."
She assumed that Ghilt wasn't all that old - perhaps an adolescent?
