Normally I get really bad cramps where I just want to curl up on the floor and cry. Just recently this year I've started getting lower back pains while on my period as well. Both which Mom said run in the girl side of the family.
But today, today I have experienced a new pain. My hips are so sore. I can't even lay on my side in bed without thinking about how badly they hurt. I've been tossing and turning from my stomach to my back in bed for the past 2 hours. I don't think even my Mom or Grandma get hips pains. I'll have to ask Mom tomorrow afternoon once she's off work.
I can't believe how bad my hips hurt though, not once since I've had my period in 3 years have my hips ever been the slightest bit sore. But today I had mild cramps, mild lower back pain and major soreness in my hips. This pain runs along the front of my hip bones, and when I'm laying down (Stomach, Side, Back, doesn't matter) it spreads around the sides and almost to the back as well.
I was just wondering how many other girls get such a pain during their period?

I've never gotten pain in my hips before, just my tummy and back. If your cramps are that bad, you can talk to an ob-gyn about it. She might be able to help.

I just find it strange that after 3 years I NOW get this pain.

I just find it strange that after 3 years I NOW get this pain. It's not very strange. Our periods can change an awful lot over the years. Irregular periods, for example, are very common in the first three years. After that, many women will notice their period changes and gets more regular. Period symptoms can change a lot too since they can be influenced by other things, such as diet. I've been getting my period for thirteen years, and I still notice changes in it sometimes. I didn't usually have any PMS symptoms up until about a year ago.

I knew your period changes, but I never knew symptoms could. Thanks for that bit of information 3nodding
