Hello, Mr. Johannes Richter!
I am Lokiari and I am from Norway. As you might know, we have yet to speak and get to know each other!
I would like for us to get together in the main room, where we will have refreshments. This will be a chance for you to know more about some of our senior members, and naturally, LOTUS. We will meet around noon.
I for one cannot wait to get to know about YOU.
Eagerly, Lokiari
An Elite inviting a new recruit. It didn't seem so strange now. At first, yes -- and especially when it's a woman doing the inviting. Johannes had to remember what was expected of a man when he was going to meet the hostess, although not in the same sense as a hostess of a large party. He had arrived to the main room, lush with curtains and plants. He had noticed that refreshments were already there, cool, hot and ready. Cups filled with tea and small biscuits were set, along with napkins. "Miss Lokiari?" he called out. She seemed to have not arrived yet. Which couldn't be true, for who else might have put the refreshments?

Another glance at the message. A message from a woman. Deep inside, Lai shuddered. Another one, probably his age. Why him, why now? He didn't hate women his age, he was just...Inexperienced. And a nervous wreck. Plus, he had no real interest in them that way. Oh yes, admirable traits in a twenty-two year old man. Not. Back in his time, men his age would be engaged or married by now, some with children.
Lai sighed as he made his way to the main room that the note dictated about. He really hoped there would be another man there. That way, all the attention wouldn't be on him. Somehow he doubted it. Luck seemed to play jokes on him more so than normal.
The Russian arrived at the main room and debated about knocking. Should he, or not? Well, he was expected, but on the other hand, barging right in was garish. He knocked twice and waited for the response.

A knock at the door reminded Johannes of one important rule: Always knock.
"Maldición. (Damn.)"
Johannes had hoped it was not Lokiari. And he hoped she wasn't touchy about him entered before her. Embarrased enough and beet red, he called "Who is it?"

A voice from behind the heavy looking door told Lai he could enter. The man grasped the door handle and entered the door as he pulled on it. He shut it behind him and looked around. The room was set up as though for a party with more than two people, so Lai felt a bit better. Lastly, his eyes rested on the person he assumed the voice came from.
"Oh!" This was a man, and definitely not Lokiari. "My name is Lai, I am here for a meeting with Miss Lokiari. " With that the Russian took out the note he had and held it out for Johannes to see.

"Oh, I am here for that too" said Johannes as he took out his copy of the note and showed to Lai. "I am Johannes." "Nice to meet you," said he while holding out his hand.
Now here's a question: Who else was invited? He had understood this was a private event....
Sheepishly, he began to speak: "Well, uh...I...I didn't catch where you're from."

The Russian reached out his hand and shook the offered one. "Likewise, I am sure." Lai looked around the room again before being asked where he was from. "I am from Russia. You?"
Before he could catch what the other could say a knock at the door made him turn. Another? How many were coming? As the door opened after the second knock Lai felt a pit open in his stomach. A woman. His age.

Moira Vontage reread the invitation a couple times, snorting a little. She imagined most of the New Recruits got one of the invitations, although whether or not they were at the same time was anyone's guess. As it were, Moira was amused. She'd met Lokiari, if only briefly before, and the girl was... well.
Moira didn't exactly have the time to form a proper opinion of her. 'Nuff said. Upon arriving to the room, she reached up and knocked. Normally, Moira would've just walked right in, but she expected Lokiari wanted her to knock or something to announce her presence. Common courtesy and whatnot.
After knocking twice, and waiting a moment, she opened the door and peered in. "Hello?" Big olive eyes took in everything at once, and grinned a little. So she wasn't the only one! "Hi there." Moira entered the room, closing the door behind her. "You guys get one'a these too?" She held up the invitation, arching an eyebrow.
((For some effin' reason, Gaia ate my post. -3- It was THERE, and then it wasn't. I'm sorry. >3<))

((That's fine, Adona. I got to see it wink I understand *pats* ))
Shaking Lai's hand , he answered "I'm from Austria, technically. I was born there, but I lived almost all my life in Spain."
He was about to try to say something when suddenly there was another knock at the door. "Oh thank God, it's Lokiari!" he thought. "I hope...."
After the second knock, he saw a woman come in. It was Moira. He had only chatted with her once in the Gardens, but otherwise than that, he couldn't say anything much about her...
"Uh, yes, we did!' "As to where Lokiari is, it's anyone's guess...." said Johannes as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe we should all sit down?" "I imagine it might be more comfortable."

((No problem Adona! Though it looks like Lai is psychic now.))
"You have a very interesting life I am sure. I have never been to either country. You must tell me about them sometime."
As Moira stepped in Lai nodded and instantly became uncomfortable, though he hid it from the others. At the Austrian's suggestion he nodded. "Sitting sounds like a good idea."

"Probably just busy." Moira replied to Johannes comment about Lokiari. She nodded quietly in agreement with both Lai and Johannes about the suggestion, and wandered over to a chair to sit by herself. She took in Johannes and Lai separately, making notes to herself. Johannes, she'd met previously. A New Recruit from Austria, she assumed. He seemed nice, if not a little too proper in his behavior. Probably just professional, a few recruits she met took the Professional edge a little too far for her taste.
Her attention moved to Lai. Lai was also a New Recruit, at least to the best of the Italian's knowledge. He seemed like the type to clam up and get nervous around others, but if he was nervous, Moira couldn't read. Unconsciously, her hand slipped into her pocket and withdrew the well-worn deck. She began to shuffle the cards quietly, drawing her gaze away from Lai. She could practically hear her mother's voice, claiming that it was rude to stare.
"So how're you men settling into LOTUS?" She offered a bright smile to the both of them, shuffling without bothering to look down. Her hands knew these cards well, she rarely dropped them. It was practically blasphemous, in Moira's eyes.

"Well, I, for one, think I've settled just fine. Mr. Sian and Ms. Sian seem to be somewhat acceptable and aware of the various types of people here. It's very rare for me at least, to see that happening elsewhere."
This was true. Johannes had met people from all walks of life, and they seemed like a family of sorts to him. They got along quite nicely with each other and accepted (to a certain point) each one's quirks. And demon pets.
He hoped that perhaps he'll feel comfortable enough to be like that too with the other recruits that he had not met yet.

Lai sat down in a cushioned chair and leaned against the back.
"I am still getting used to the compound. It is quite massive and I tend to get a little lost." Five times to be exact, though Lai made no mention of this number. He just folded his hands in his lap and tried to relax. He felt the room's air too stuffy.

Moira's attention went to Johannes, since he seemed comfortable with answering her before the skittish Lai. She smiled a bright smile, and nodded. "We're stuck with each other, us recruits. New and old, we've got to get along, you know? Being accepting is the easiest way to get along." She said, pausing briefly before adding. "That's what I think, anyway." Whether or not that was the general opinion was left to them to figure out. "Wraith is a little intimidating, though." At least, when she'd met him the handful of times she had, he'd been very intimidating to her. She lounged back in her chair, turning her head from Johannes to watch Lai.
For a brief second, Lai reminded her of an old stray who would wander the house. Always a skittish thing. Her father called him Frivolo, when he'd leave out scraps so the poor thing wouldn't starve. She smiled encouragingly when he admitted to getting lost. "You aren't the first one to get lost in this place, Frivolo." He reminded her too much of that dog. She wondered why he seemed so shy. "You'll get used to the layout sooner or later. I still get lost sometimes." She snorted. It was how she'd found the library, and the North Hall, after all.

"Yes, well...I haven't had the chance to know Mr. Sian better..." Johannes chuckled a bit nervously, since he felt he shouldn't say anything about his employer.
Facing to Lai after he commented, said he: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Lai." He was about to say something when Moira began to speak.
"Frivolo?"
