Now, valenth does this, and I think it's a good idea, each member is allowed one thread to keep their own pets in to ask for clicks. I think it'd be great if we did that, because then you can get a lot of views, get views for your adults, no have to worry about it being missed in the eggspam thread, and you can keep other pets there too, and just edit the first post everytime you get a new one.

Yes. The eggspam thread, as awesome as it is, moves forward at a pretty incredible pace. I personally can't keep up with it, but I do like to keep track of my dragons and my broods. I've been using a thread outside of dragcave to do that, since if I post unless I bookmark the page I lose it here.

I think it is helpful to have smaller threads for that purpose. Though it'd probably be useful to set some bumping rules up on it. Like tell people not to bump their thread (if there are too many) unless it falls off the first page. That'd keep people from spamming their threads like nuts to keep them on top.

We discussed this when brainstorming ideas for a new sanct, and we realized that making a ton of personal posts would get rid of a lot of hits. Lyth thought that most of the views were generated by people going in the sanct to post their own eggs there, rather than people going to click, which probably is correct. Having a ton of little spots in the eggspam forum would make it less likely for people to seek out every single thread and click every single egg, rather than in one isolated spot, where people can click others' eggs while also posting their own.

However, the idea for your own page is actually kind of good... In fact...

I could even see a brand new subforum for your own personal pages to put any adoptables in it. We have more than enough money...

Well, as the eggspam forum is, it's meant for eggspam and eggspam alone, rather than personal threads. If someone wants eggspam, they go to the eggspam forum, and if they want personal pages, they go to the subforum for the personal threads.

But then again, all the eggspam topics are stickied...
I think a different subforum still would work better, though.

I voted no. While it would be very nice to have a system where everyone could make their own little nest, people take advantage of things like that. Mule accounts get made, over exaggerated titles go up that insist that you absolutely must click this particular user's eggs, and things just get messy. If it were going to work, it would have to be some serious rules (which people would break).

Plus there's the decrease in clicks...

I don't know. I'd just be very wary about something like this.

Your dragons can keep their names just by you looking at your own scroll...not sure if you have to use the link or what, but that's what TJ had previously said, so I don't see a reason for having your adults posted. (I don't name my dragons because I'm lame so I'm not 100% sure about this).

I'm not quite sure what is being proposed...I keep reading, but I'm not comprehending...heh ^^;; Too much chemistry and physics taking up space in my head, I suppose.

i vote no, because then the eggspam forum would become way too full of threads that nobody looks in.
