Stepping over a small tall-grassed hill, a gray cheetah stood proud. Kolo had his head high, his expression stoic and his bearing regal. He had all the form of a proud cheetah, ever watchful and appearing calm. On his shoulder stood a mark he was just as proud of, the one that marked him as a member of the Coalition and would identify his family as his once they had the mark as well.

As the wind blew, he seemed unfazed, like nothing could faze him.

The silent moment was broken when a still not quite steadily little brown cub with a white mohawk came over the hill and rolling to the bottom. Laughing, the cub got right up, shaking out her fur and grinning at her father as he came down to make sure she was alright.

Falling didn't bother her in the least, while it was a little frustrating; she got back up as always and was ready for more. Her whole body was shaking from energy and joy. It was one thing to be allowed out of the den to play for a little, but she was getting to walk the lands! Well, she wasn't allowed too far and when she got tired they were to go home, but that didn't matter. For now, it was her and her Daddy exploring their home.

The little cub couldn't wait to tell the stories to her siblings; they would so want to go next she was sure. There would be so much to tell that she had to try and slow herself so she could tell them as much as possible. No way was she going to let them down by telling only half of the wonderful things she was finding. Just a few minutes ago she found a bug! It was a little blue beetle with a horn like thing on its nose. Sure it flew away, but she still found it! It was a wonder she would find out next, something amazing she was sure!

Holding his head high and making sure to place one paw in front of the other carefully, a green, black spotted and white bellied cheetah walked across the grassy lands that him and the rest of the cheetah coalition thrived upon. His golden eyes searched every thing's features, from wide to thin and big to small. He was familiarizing himself with the way the lands looked and how they felt beneath his black toe-dipped paws. He had to, sort of. It was more of that he wanted to, that way in case of some sort of emergency or something, he'd be able to know exactly where to go. After all, he was to be the future ruler of these lands, and he wanted to be the best ruler he could possibly be.

Still though, he was young, which meant he was still in training for everything. So, his mother still followed him around the most of the time, as she was now. He didn't mind, as he loved his mother dearly. Having lost her once, he actually rather preferred her company, just to make sure he didn't lose her again any time soon. She did allow him space though, as he was getting older and beginning to want more freedom every now and then. She was such a good mother to him, and he valued that so passionately, unlike more wild cubs.

Aailyah followed behind her son, smiling warmly at the regal way he walked through the lands and the careful glances towards everything. He was clearly taking in all the details of his surroundings. She did not need to direct him to pay attention to details as Chura was a very observant cub. She was surprised, however, to be the first to notice the small tumbling cub and grey figure running to check up on said cub.

With a smile, Aailyah made her way beside her son and spoke softly, "It looks as though Kolo and one of the new cubs are also exploring the coalition this morning. Would you like to stop by and visit them?" Whenever possible, the light colored mother tried to allow her son to make decisions. One day he would have the entire coalition to look over and it was important that he learned the benefits and consequences of the decisions he was going to make. While not a difficult situation, Aailyah still felt the need to ask.

While she waited for a response, she looked over the cub with a warm smile. She was beautiful. Quite different from the last litter, but all unique and gorgeous. Aailyah admired the family for handling so many cubs! They had done a fantastic job with their first litter and Aailyah knew they'd only continue to do so!

It would be Aailyah's first time meeting the new cubs and if Chura decided against visiting them now, the group leader would set out time in another day to offer her best wishes to Naddie and nuzzle each and every cub.

The current antitheses for Chura, Noka, was having fun and falling over for it. With no thoughts to future responsibilities, the young brown cheetah cub had no expectations over her besides the ones she fulfilled just being herself. A cheetah, she was taught from birth that being what she was made her a better cat that she was better and should be wary of anything that wasn't cheetah. Pride in herself didn't make her higher-than-thou, except for other cats whom she believed to be the Others that couldn't reach her.

At the moment, she had spotted an 'intruder' the fluttering bird was bathing in a little puddle in front of her. Not close enough to realize there were other cheetahs around, and trust fully that her father would tell her if there were, she was busy just being a cub. Crouching, butt wiggling in the air, she stalked the little bird. Getting closer, she chirped at it, a fearsome and inquisitive sound only cheetah's made.

What she didn't see was the other bird behind the one she had harassed, so when both took flight in startledment, one bumped into the other. The confusion and fear in the animals sent one careening into the little cheetah. Now she was the one startled. "Aaaa!" she squeaked and backed up, falling on her butt a moment.

Before her father could even get to her side, well seconds before which were only a few seconds after the action, she was back up again. Looking baffled, she looked up to her father, unfazed beside curious as to why the creatures flew off, "What happened, Daddy, they aren't bad lions or other cats, why did they run away?" She wasn't concerned for why they flew into her, she was hurt at all, and she wanted to know why something would do that so she would know what to do next time.

Kolo was too focused on his daughter to notice Aailyah and the young heir. He prided himself on being a great guard and protector for the coalition, but picked this time because he felt it was safest to pay attention to his cub during their special walk together and that there was less need to be on the highest alert. An instant actor, her call had him rushing to her before he knew what he was rushing too.

Smiling with paternal pride at his daughter's ability to shake things off, fearless and curious, he could see her personality becoming more and more the thing that was a perfect cheetah in his eyes, then again, all his cubs were and they were all different. To answer her question, he gave the cub a small nuzzle and gave words to the answer, "The birds were scared; such a great and powerful cheetah such as your self can be very intimidating. If you don't wish to scare off any thing you wish to be friends with, birds and cheetah, going slower until they notice you is a good bet. Sudden movements and fierce chirps can be very intimidating, and scare most off. Try being friendly, like you are with your siblings, it will work well for you." So long as she didn't mistake him and try treating lions and leopards like that, she'd be well off remembering what he said. There were no worries, his girls and son listened to their parents and showed wisdom even before they could easily run without stumbling every now and then.

Perking his ears up and swiveling them to the side some as his mother whispered to him, Chura nodded, tearing his eyes from a rock he was scoping out to direct them towards her. He had a smile on his small face and his body posture had not changed. He made sure to keep it strong, to make sure he could show that he would be ready in time to become the next leader of what his mother had founded. Looking away from her, he found where the cheetah cub and her father were, indeed exploring the lands themselves. How come he had not spotted them before?

Shrugging it off, as much as it honestly bothered him, Chura made the first steps to walking over to the father and daughter. For some reason, he felt the need to present himself even more so now. He couldn't quite grip or really understand why, but he just followed his instincts and went with it anyway. He stood high as he walked and his tail was just slightly lifted off the ground, so not as to get dirty by being dragged. He hoped he looked alright and wasn't covered in dirt or something. That would be the most embarrassing thing he'd of encountered yet.

He wouldn't be head guard for nothing, observant as ever. Aailyah stood out like a shining light, her snow white against the grass. Next he saw the young heir, the cub looked like he was very aware of how he was presenting himself. This was going to be interesting, turning he started towards them knowing Noka would father, "Good day Lady Aailyah, Chura." Bowing his head in respect to the both, lacking a title for Chura wasn't in disrespect. Chura was just older then Noka, he wanted to give the cubs a chance to meet as cubs. There would be a lot of responsibility on those little green shoulders when he grows up; he ought to have the chance at a cub friendship as just a cub even if he was more than just. Granted he, thought of all his cubs as more than just cubs.

Noka had been puzzled, why had her dad suddenly go in another direction? The white mohawked cub followed behind her father greatly curious. Ears perked, she heard the name of the great Lady Aailyah that her father talked so highly of. Oh, this was so exciting! Not mindful of the dust she had on her, the brown cub ran forward on still wobbly cub legs to meet this great lady. Slowing down right as she came around her gray father, she had her head up and her paws were very carefully placed as she tried hard to look as proper as possible to impress her, "Greetings Lady!" She tried a fancy bow, ended up on her rump because it was more then she was able to do but falling backwards was better than falling on her face.

The green cub she saw next, he looked like a froggy! Smiling brightly, her eyes lit up as she instantly liked his coat pattern. Raising her paw, she lifted as if to wave then dropped it and called happily, "Hiya! I am Noka!" Could she play with him, she wondered, he was the first cub she had met outside of her family. Since her brother was a lot of fun, Chura should be fun to play with as well!
