This is more for those who live around the area or should I say closer (i.e. Calhoun County, MI). Life may or may not have mentioned it, but he and Grim's Daughter (my sister) know about it. This winter I am holding a D&D campaign. I am going to try and hold it during winter break(s) (for those who are not going to college close by). I cannot be sure of the exact days right now as I am probably, more than likely going to get the associate manager position at MC Sports and do not know how that is going to work as far as a schedule, but right now I am assuming weekend day(s). If you would like to join please let me know either on gaia, calling if you have my number, or telling Life. Otherwise, the info you will need to know is as follows.
It is a 3.5 campaign and the rules for character creation are as such:
Level: 7
Alignment: Any non-evil
Classes: Any 3.5
Races: No outsiders (except native outsiders), no undead, lycanthropes, huge + creatures, tiny – creatures, underdark races (except halves).
Prestige Classes: (see classes)
Money: 20,000 GP
Weapons:
Fighters: Mithril Short Sword +1
Stealth: Returning Dagger +1
Arcane: True Hit Quarterstaff +1
Divine: Ghost Strike Weapon (Deity’s) +1
Druid: True Strike Sling +1
Range: Bow of Silence +1
Armor:
Heavy: Half-Plate
Medium: Chain Shirt
Light: Leather
Items: Rogue Cloak, Sustenance Ring
P.C.: Must have a background story. (You will all be starting in a Rogue group so keep that in mind in your background story. There are also guilds which I can give you information of as needed.)

So wait, for Weapons, does that mean if we train and gain profciencies in other weapons we can't have them? Only what you give us? Or is that one of those we must buy them on our own with the 20000 gold bits?

The weapons are starting weapons so you can use your gold for other things, though if you want to buy new weapons with the 20k feel free to do so.

I have a book related to 3.5 for chaos magic. Would it be acceptable to make a 3.5 chaos mage? You mentioned a rouge based group, and chaos mages although chaotic are not always evil. (side note, chaos mages preform well in groups that rely on stealth, the versatility of their abilities compliment any class/alignment. If you have any questions about the class, or the book, or any other books I may have that you do not, either contact Travis, Becky or my self. I can list a few if you would like.

1) Chaos Magic - Wild Sorcery (the one with the mage I would like to play)
2) The Quintessential Wizard
3) Divination - The All-Seeing Eye
4) Spells & Magic
5) Monster's Handbook (great for making mobs to fight the pc's)

As long as it relates to 3.5 and not from a region specific, it is perfectly ok. I believe I have the Complete Wizard book. At least I know I've heard of the chaos mage and was going to make one for someone else's campaign, that in the end I never used and the campaign never started, thanks Life. lol.

The Quintessential Wizard has a few additions to the content in the Complete books. Very useful when considering certain things.

I do not think any spells are only set for one region, like I don't think there is a "Fury of the Thay" spell for Faerun or "Heat of the Silver Flame" for Eberron, so all magic is free to use...unless you manage to find one like that. Also let it be noted that Psionics and Magic are two different elements in this game. Magic will be divided up upon some areas too such as their might be attacks or effects aimed at Arcane magic, Divine magic, Shadow magic, Truename magic, etc.

Add up the total cost of the weapon (the weapon, masterwork costs, and enchantments). You will get an amount dependant on if you want to sell now or in game. Selling now you get 3/4 original costs, but in game when/if you decide to join a guild you may get full price, an exchange of items up to possibly equal to or slightly greater than its fully price, or you may get services for it such as using it as a hiring tool for a body guard or spy (other variations of lackey do apply).

If I were to make any Arcane caster, there is an item that requires feats, that allows one to craft an Arcane Nexus. Although it can be a powerful item it is rather cheap as it is made specifically for one user. and even a level 1 caster with enough fund with the feat has the ability to craft this item. Is it allowed if you consume the cost from the starting funds?
