Thona had been having rather good luck with females lately. Which made his ego pretty big. Only having one real problem with a female leopard, or what he thought was a female leopard. Another with a wild dog, but he didn't count those since they were nothing of his interest. He just wanted to kill them. He was nice enough to spare the wild dog's life. Of course, next time she wouldn't be as lucky... If he remembered what she looked like.

Which, he didn't, but he knew where he left his marks. At least for now. She'd know not to come around this area again. He was once again on his rock. His spotted body visible for everyone to see. Along with his green patch of hair. Odd to most, but it was one of the things that he prized most. His eyes matched his eyes quite well. His tail was another thing he prized. He used it when fighting sometimes, it confused others, or at least the ones he had fought in the past.

He had odd accessories as well. Bones of teeth, and claws from creatures he'd killed. Some leg bone from small birds. As well as peridot gems in between each bone. He wore them proudly. And would get angry at anyone who called them girly. He'd teach them a lesson or two. He was big for a leopard, almost the size of a normal sized lion. Almost. He could take one down, if he was given the chance to. Male lions where pathetic and stupid. To him, a waste of strength they were given. The gods had been mean to him when making him a leopard and not a lion. But that was no matter.

Female lions, on the other hand, were something of a weakness of his. Oh, their beautiful bodies entertained him, and he was more likely to seduce, and use a lioness then any other type of creature. Though, he'd really go after any female that left themselves vulnerable. He eyed the land, seeing a tree or two in the distance. And one right over his rock he became very fond of. Though, every few days he'd leave to give his obsessed mate, Nande, food. It was about mid day, and the wind was blowing gently towards him. Making his hair fluff flap about upward. Making it so much easier to see.

Xinavane was in no particular mood that day. Another day of traveling, to put it mildly. Another day to seek out the pride she was after... though that had been unsuccessful thus far, and was likely stupid. After all, she was only one lioness looking for what felt like a needle in a haystack. But she was trying, and she supposed that was the important thing. Alone for the moment, but she liked it better that way. It made things easier to keep together. No one for her to look after, no one for her to worry about. Yes... better to keep to herself, except the odd time to maybe ask for directions, be attacked at random, find a new friend -however temporary they may have been- or help someone who needed her.

The terrain meant very little to her. She only stopped to admire it when she was too tired to walk anymore. Though never did she let her guard down enough to be attacked at random... oh no. She knew all too well that letting oneself wear down too much could only lead to danger beyond imagining. Had she let her guard down on more than one occasion, she would be dead now.

When she saw the leopard, she was a little suprised. She had never seen one before, though she had heard of one... she believed he was a leopard, for he certainly was neither a cheetah or a lion. Well, as long as he wasn't another God, she was quite fine with whatever manner of beast he was.

She was quite sick of Gods, thank-you-very-much.

She glanced up at him on his rock as she walked past, not sure whether she would stop or not. Instead of doing much at all, she gave him a nod. She wasn't anywhere close to where her old pride was... she was certain he would not know anything about it. Probably just best to ignore him. She rarely spoke first unless it was of interest to her.

Or it looked like whoever she saw was in some immenent danger... which the leopard most certainly was not.

Thona grinned as he watched the black female lion come closer. Oh, what fun could this bring? He watched her carefully, even after she passed him only seconds after nodding at him. It was time for him to get into his own little game. He stood up, stretched and then hopped down. He was not going to let this one go so easily. "My my.... What do we have here." He said in a seductive soothing voice.

He walked a bit fast so he could get next to her, but not closely next to her. he wasn't stupid, after all. He knew nothing about this female. She could attack him for just looking at her, or even speaking. He gave them both a few feet. Though, if he wanted to, he could easily attack her if needed. He flicked his tail about, letting his bones make noise. They were good tool to scare others and intimidating them.

"So alone, and helpless in this big bad world." He said with an evilish look upon his face. Or at least as evil as any leopard could get it. His eyes fixed on her, willed with a dangerous look within them. Either she was to obey him, or suffer the coincidence.

Xinavane was so shocked that she nearly stopped, though she didn't show it on her face. And she was most certainly not intimidated. She was more pissed off. She had been wooed before, this was nothing new. But she was more interested in lions who sought to understand her... or ones that were smart and were cautious of her. After all, she was a warrior. Born and bred. Being afraid was not something she would even begin to tolerate.

"What we have here is someone uninterested." Xinavane said bluntly, not even gracing him with a glance. Why bother? If he was going to be a jerk, it was best to just ignore him. Though she wouldn't tolerate it by not speaking. But she didn't look. She didn't back down. She didn't stop walking. She just rolled her eyes. Her own bones cracked as she walked, in response to his. She didn't have many scars, but she did have them. She had fought off much bigger lions than this leopard, so if he decided to get snarky, making sure he stayed away was not out of the question.

"You'll find that helplessness has never been one of my strong suits..." She smirked, her face cold and beautiful as a stone angel, "And I'm much bigger or scarier than this world can be." Nor had obeiedience. She didn't even fear the wrath of Gods, one mere leopard was not going to do it for her. She had more important business to attend to.

"Ruin all the fun, puppet." He said in what sounded as if he was upset on the matter, but really, he was grinning more evilly. It was what he planned to happen. Of course, it would have been nice if she played along, or even given into his words, but it was only the first things he said. He flicked his tail carefully. He was cautious, even if he didn't look it. Never to let down his guard. He was a hunter, and took more pride in it then anything. Which showed by his odd accessories.

He continued to follow her. She was too much fun after all. He had no scars on him, he was normally too fast for the other's to leave such a mark. Or they just never dug into his flesh enough to leave one. "Now now, trying to scare me off won't do, puppet." He said with a sweet voice. "To say that is just showing how arrogant you can be, puppet" he said to her next response. He was determined to not let her leave without at least a little scar to remember him by. Or he could settle with just chasing her, as well.

Oh, what fun he could have. Still keeping a safe distance away from her. She'd fill his wrath, weather she was scared of him or not, he was sure he could get her to crack, but that was his ego talking. If things got too out of hand, he'd have to let his brain over power his ego for once. Though, it only happened when he thought he was in any type of danger, or if he actually had to fight. He took fighting serious as he did hunting.

Xinavane paused for a moment, before she turned and actually looked at him, disinterest in her eyes now as she looked him up and down, "Sorry... I have better lions to do," She emphesized that, knowing what was going on instantly, "with my time." Then she turned and kept walking, though she watched him from the corner of her eye, careful to listen to every step. She had taunted. Expecting an attack in return was not something she was stupid enough to not believe could happen. After all, she was a lone teenager... one could never be too careful.

It wasn't that she had anything against other species, quite the contrary. But he had taken a blow at her pride, she was certainly not above throwing one back. That, she she didn't like being called 'puppet'. And if he wouldn't be frightened off, perhaps he could be told off. She wouldn't rise to his bait. She just lay out her own... no use starting something. She was better than that... though the thought of him attacking some poor innocent lioness grated over her own morals. Oh, if he tried something... something more than words... She would certainly be willing to trade blows. She wouldn't run, that was for sure.

Her parents had raised her better than that. Or rather... they had told her it was better to run when you knew you couldn't win. But when you could win, you should always stand and fight. And she took fighting those who took advantage of those who couldn't stick up for themselves far, far more seriously than she took everything else.

"Do you expect me to be hurt by that comment?" He asked as he stopped when she looked him up and down. When she started going in her direction again, he continued to follow. Wondering how long it'd take her until she was truly irritated with him. Thona continued to have a creepy smirk upon his face. His ears slightly back. He wasn't one to attack first, so if she didn't attack, he would just continue to irritate her until he got bored with her.

Thona never started stuff more then words. For attacking first gave a very bad disadvantage. And any disadvantage he'd never take. Even if it was just a slight one. He liked being on top when fighting, or hunting. He had been trained well. When looking for a fight, he'd normally test how far another will go before they'd attack him. Making them angry was normally too easy. Anger was bad when fighting. It dropped your IQ. He never got angry when fighting. At least to a point to where he couldn't handle the other involved.

Thona normally didn't pick fights with those he had a huge disadvantage with, unless of course he had a bit of a distaste, and they were in the right area at the wrong time. Normally he'd take it out on his mate. But he generally liked to push himself, always picking fights with males the same size, or a little bigger. Now with females, he took advantage of them in a totally different way. He picked on the weak who needed a male. Used them, and then would leave them soon after he was done with them. He had no desire to stick around with females he was only interested in one thing for.

"Not my problem." Xinavane answered cooly, "Though a girl has to wonder why you're so persistant... it's annoying, especially when she's made it clear she isn't interested. Besides... I like my men strong. Bullies aren't my style." Strong... like Gods... Arg. She couldn't think about that right now. But really, it seemed that one really did have to be a literal God to get her to be with them for more than three seconds, "You just don't come up to snuff. Besides, you're annoying. I don't care what you do as long as it has nothing to do with me." She wouldn't attack first. And she certainly wouldn't let herself get angry. Oh, she was definitly annoyed, but it would go against everything she believed in to attack someone who hadn't attacked her.

No. No he had just really, really annoyed her. How could she not compare him with every other lion she had met who had wanted something out of her? Really now. She was quite certain he wouldn't compare... both for reasons she had stated, and for ones she had not. Honestly, she couldn't stand anyone like him, though she had met few. But she had grown up with a family of twelve lions. Most of them her own age, or younger. To say the least, she could put up with things she couldn't stand.

It was just that none of her siblings had ever tried to sleep with her. But she couldn't say she wasn't grateful for that, "I'm sure you can find someone more easily swayed or... desperate enough to sink low enough to have you." She said offhand, "But unlike some... I have standards." Standards anyone would have a tough time meeting, to br frank. Again... Gods... No. No. She didn't want to think about Zuru. She missed him...

And at least he had known how to show a girl a good time, as opposed to this lunk. But she guessed that Gods had to be held to a higher standard, "So... shoo, or whatever. Don't waste my time." After all, she knew for a fact that she could do better. That helped her ego and played down the annoyance a bit.

Really, it helped more than she expected. Made her feel a bit smug. Something she, once again, wasn't used to... stupid Zuru... But still, at least she wasn't about to turn around and try to kill the leopard now.

She truly was stupid if she thought she'd ever have a chance with him. Of course, only a few moments ago, he had idea's of such things. But now, he was losing his interested in her in that department. "What makes you think I would take such an ugly female such as yourself, puppet?" he said with a grin. He ignored her comment about him being a bully and not strong. Oh, he was strong, which was why he was the way he was. As well as his past, but there was no time to think about something so stupid. "Perhaps I came just to annoy you. It seems fun enough to get under your skin"

"If I wanted anything, it'd be to watch you die a horrible death. Perhaps by my own hands, but I normally don't kill another on the first meeting." No, he always beat them up, then threatened he'd kill them if he ever saw them again. Which wasn't really a threat, to him it was a promise. He would, at least try to, kill them if he ever saw them again.

"I wouldn't dare think about doing anything with you, puppet." He went on. "your not my type." He added. "Ugly color, ugly lion, everything. It's just amazing that such an ugly creature continues to walk this earth and nothing has terminated you." He said simply. Flicking his tail. Most the time it angered females to be called ugly. "I'm simply enjoying irritating you, as it seems to show so well."

He laughed slightly and walked in front of her. "You think you can go so easily?" He said glint of blood lust in his eyes. He wanted to attack her, but held back. Ears slightly down. "My my, your quite pathetic." He said. "Thinking I want a piece of you. Do you ever shut up, or you just so use to other males sniffing around for a piece?" He asked rudely. "Even I have standers greater then theirs, if they are going to you for a piece of action."

Xinavane was almost glad she had put him of the offensive. Oh no, better than glad. Flirting was something she wasn't used to. Blatent attacks? Oh, that was so much better. Being called ugly certainly didn't offend her. After all, she had only ever been called pretty before by one lion... whose opinion meant everything. And clearly this leopard was about as useful for opinions as he was for 'friendship'... which meat she was about as taken with him as she was with swamp dirt. No, no, even that wasn't really a fair comparison.

At least swamp dirt had substance.

"Oh? So what? You want me dead so badly? Because why? I shunned you?" She asked, lifting and eyebrow and smirking at him, "Oh please, I'd love to see you try. I don't normally kill either... but try anything, and I'll gladly make an exception, fringe boy." She said, insulting his green color while she was at it, "I'm glad I'm not your type. Saves me the trouble of repeating the fact that you aren't mine. So go and find someone who is, and hope she has lower standards than I do."

She very nearly laughed when he tried to imply that any lion who would have her would be a fool. She really did wish Zuru was there, just because it would have been amusing... But she didn't want that, not really. Having him see her sink so low would be unfortunate... though the God would certainly stand up for his taste, she was sure, "And I think I'll go as easily as I like." Xinavane said bluntly, walking around the leopard, and making each step a point, "Sorry 'doll', but your opinion doesn't mean anything to me. Tough for you if it usually does." She had better things to do.

She had a pride that did actually kill lions for no reason to find... No time to waste on small fry. She had even heard about demons on the loose. That had to be stopped...

His interest was short with this one. Though he continued on. Walking next to her now. "Well, don't you have a bit of a tongue on you." He said with a snicker. Some females were just plain annoying, and she was one of them. Though it was amusing watching her get angry at him following her. It made this whole thing worth it.

Thona didn't care about gods. They didn't scare him at all. Even if one tried to kill him. He'd fight back, and die an honorable death in his eyes. He'd be a god one day, even if that was impossible, but to him he would be one, one day. To him, gods were just normal creatures that just said they were gods and had great powers.

" It has nothing to do with the words you have spoke to me on why I'd find great pleasure in watching you die." He said simply. He wasn't about to give her his reason, even if he asked. He didn't need to explain himself to such a pathetic female. When she mentioned something about a mate he laughed. "Who needs but only one female." He said simply.

Of course, he loves his mate as much as she loves him. Even if her love is more of an obsession towards him then anything, but having only one female was something that was a bit boring. He had a slight weakness for females. Mostly with bright colors.

"Your opinion means nothing, as you can see." He started "I'm not at all upset. See, if I was like those who cared what other's said, i'd have attacked you already." He said informing her of her mistake in his character. "And as for you who doesn't care about mine, then why even bother to say anything at all. It only eggs me on more to bug you." He simply said with a sharp smile.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 30, 2008 9:04 pm

"Oh? So you're a whore then?" Xinavane asked, flippent at the moment. She was thinking of better times, when she didn't have to deal with this... creature. Honestly, she didn't seem to be grating on his enormous ego, or annoying him nearly as much as he annoyed her. But she wasn't about to attack him first. Show that sign of weakness? Be the lesser of the two? Oh no. She wouldn't give him that satisfaction. Besides, she already considered herself his better. Her own ego talking, really. At least she knew she would never have to sink as low as him to be loved.

"I'd imagine my words have everything to do with your desire to kill me, after all, they're all you know of me," Xinavane said absently, "Unless you have the maturity of a mere cub and dislike someone merely based on looks... how dull." Her reasons for wanting someone dead ran far deeper than that... oh, so much deeper, and there were plenty out there that she wished would die... After all she had seen and done, how could she not think that?

"As your opinion means about as much to me as mine does to you... so I hardly see why we're still going on here." Xinavane sighed, not even bothering to gloss over the many mistakes he had made in judging her own character, "And as for my annoyance... that is no triumph at all. My nerves are easily grated by anyone who thinks themselves better than others, when they are not." She glanced at him, "You are not special. Not long after you have gone, for I'm sure you'll be bored eventually, I'll forget you. Just as I forget all the others who mean nothing to me."

He laughed. "Whores are what you call females, not males." He simply said. Thona didn't care about love, or any of that stuff that females liked. In fact, he didn't even admit to himself that he had fallen for his mate. No, to him, she was just his toy to play with when he wanted. The only toy of his that would actually always be his, and if any male try to steal her from him, he'd kill them without a second thought.

"You don't need to know someone to have a desire to kill someone, puppet." He corrected her again. She was either stupid, or arrogant, he thought. "Words have nothing to do with it." He said again. "Perhaps it's the way you look that makes me want to see the life sucked out of you." He started "Or maybe I just have a fascination with watching thing die." He flicked his tail. "You'll never know for certain."

He laughed. "Oh, I'm much better then most out there, I have to say." He smirked. "Weather you believe it or not. Your arrogance is amazing." He said with another grin. "Oh, I'll get bored eventually, but for the moment, this is quite entertaining." He said with another smile. "And you won't forget me, cause you haven't frogotten the others. Weather you like it or not, puppet, I'll always linger in your thoughts every time someone else does the same thing I did." He flicked his tail.

Sure it wasn't the memory he wanted to give her, but it was the best he could do since she didn't attack him first. Of course, he would have if she showed that she had a weak mind. But she seemed to hold off strong, which made her unpredictable when it came to how strong she was. Even though he was very sure he could take her down, but he didn't want any marks upon himself. He prized his fur very much so.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:21 pm

"Oh, I find that the term 'whore' fits well with both breeds, not just females." Xinavane answered with a mere shrug, smirking to herself, "And since you seem to fit the description so eloquently... I applied it to you, little leopard." Well, he wasn't little... and truth be told, in a fight, since he was larger and male, she might not have won. And perhaps even saying 'might' was giving herself too much credit... She may have warrior training herself, but for all she knew, so did he.

"And perhaps you need not know someone to want them dead... but that merely shows your immaturity. Not having a reason to dislike someone is what children do, not grown males like you appear to be," she glanced at him again, "Or are you really of feeble mind? That could explain your flawed personality."

She did think about his next words. Her arrogance. Yes, well, she did have that, "And it should always be noted... that arrogance is only arrogence if I think I'm better than you."

His last words merely made her laugh, "Perhaps not immeditaly... but soon, the memory will become nothing. I know not your name, so I won't recall it. I barely pay attention to your taunts, only so I can return with my own, so I won't bother remembering the sound of your voice... more annoying creatures have certainly left more of an impression, so they will come to mind first. And there is nothing special about your looks... save perhaps that green thing on top of your head, so I'm sure what you look like will fade away just as quickly. And you are not the first leopard I have met, so that doesn't make you special either... So no. No, I can't say anything will remain in my memory of you. You are not unique enough."

He shrugged. "Whatever one would call me, I'm quite proud of what I am." he said with a smirk. "Whore or not, it's just who I am." He said honestly. Sure it bothered a lot of females, but they didn't need to know it until he was done with his act and had already left. But seeing as this female he was no longer interested, he didn't care what she thought of his sexual habits. She'd never know his name. And no way she could tell other's who he was, since there was many like him, or at least look similar to him.

"You can dislike someone before you meet them by the actions of their movies the moment you spot them." He corrected her. "It's only natural that you can dislike someone without even getting to know them. It's not a child's way." He smirked. "Even you know that. I'm sure you judge other's before you meet them." He continued ignoring her other comment. "There's always those who you know you'll hate before even a word crosses between each other."

He laughed. Having enough of this bit of heart to heart talk that they were having. It wasn't at all like him, and it was getting boring. She did talk way too much for a female, or at least any of the ones he ran into. Her being the second worse he'd had met. But no matter, he yawned and didn't look very interested in her words. "You talk too much." He simply said after a moment or two.

"It'd be a memory that could come up later on, anything can trigger them." He said. Not really one to have experience in that. He can simply forget about something if he wanted. "My name is nothing of your concern anyways, so you won't be having it." He added. His name was something he only shared with those he actually trusted. After all, he didn't want the females he used to come looking for him. Or he planned to use in the future. In fact, he rather not have his mate know about any of his temporary toys. Or to have cubs left on him. He'd leave them to fend for themselves, or die.

"I could be unique, if I wanted to put any type of effort into this meeting" He said. "And since you aren't worth it, I simply don't see a reason to." He said. Now thinking about leaving the female alone. Having no real desire to do anything with her. Not even attack her. Pathetic he was sometimes, he thought, but no matter, if he saw her again he'd teach her a lesson. Of course, he wouldn't tell her, nor would he allow her to attack back. At least attack then run. So his fur would be good. That's if they met again.

"Anyways, I think more important things just came to my mind." It was time to head back to his mate, take his anger out on her maybe, or who ever happened to be in his way at the time. But, none the less, he had to go hunting for Nande or she'd sure starve. She was too obsessed with him that she'd sit there and wait for him to return with food for her. With that, he simply walked off to the side to where they were walking making a long circle back the way they had came. Ears back, not out of irritation, but just out of being lazy for the moment.
